Would you re-sign Harvin to $3m incentive laden contract?
KRT88 replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His history says he cannot stay healthy. I'd only sign him at a very low base salary. The guy simply can't stay on the field and War is a high priority position of need. -
So who are you cheering for in the playoffs?
KRT88 replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Carolina, I have lived in NC for 17 years. Though Arizona is playing lights out. -
You can't attack without an experienced QB. Running the ball helps the inexperienced QB get his feet wet. Last I check, most of Antonio Brown's targets have come from Ben Rothlisburger and I think he's played a season or two. You may as well start a thread saying we should trade for Aaron Rogers. As TT plays more the offense will likely become more QB centered. If it can't than TT won't get behind center.

TIME FOR THE FANS TO TAKE CONTROL
KRT88 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thread is funny! Good luck getting fans to stop drinking the water. You will never get fans to stop buying! As far as Rex is concerned, he owed more than 20 million dollars, firing him now make zero sense from the teams perspective. It's easy to spend other people's money but there is no way Pegula flushes that amount down the drain. With Schwarts we win now? Based on his stellar previous run as a head coach! Listen to yourself. Perhaps if we had him this year we don't sign TT. I doubt if Schwarts was the coach we would have signed the OC we have now. Therefore everything would have been different, and that doesn't mean good different. -
Tyrod is the #1 FA pickup of 2015 per ESPN

Bills fans are so stupid. Look back over the past 16 seasons, 20 if you want to go back Kelly, but let's face it, Flutie was able to get it done. Even counting Drew Bledsoe great one season which QB has been better than TT? Maybe one of Fitz season had better overall numbers, maybe not, but what people seem to forget is that this was basically the first season TT actually played. He's going to get better. TT does what you want a QB to do. He isn't captain checkdown. He can move around, make plays with his feet and he's wiling to take his shot down the field. Now let's be completely honest. He often takes shots down the field at the wrong time. It's 3rd and 4, I don't want a 45 yard down field throw, I want a 6 yard gain and first down. He's isn't as accurate as you would love but his accuracy is better than other recent QB. The season was really s rewed up when he got hurt and EJ had to take over. You instantly saw the difference between good and bad QB play. In a 5 minute span, EJ single handed managed to blow the Bills season up. I'd extend TT now, give him a bridge deal, 3 years 30M, 21M guaranteed and if he improves I'd be willing to rip that deal next off season. -
Stats, wins, who cares, you can't go behind 21-0 and win consistently in the NFL. You may get away with it once and a while. The defense is part of the team. If the defense keep the team in the game as they QB is figuring things out, then you have something. Just like the defense can say, hey if the offense scored a couple time early we'd be better off. At the end of the day, who are we going to get that is going to be better? Who have we had in the past 16 years who has been better? Good luck answering those two questions.

yes they can, it's called 4 ,more years 20M owed. Pegula's not gonna eat that much

NFL should change Draft order rules.
KRT88 replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the NFL was serious, put the non playoff teams in a lottery. The fewer the wins the greater the number combination you get. However, no one gets better than a 15% chance of winning and no non playoff teams gets less than 1%. Draw 5 numbers that's picks 1-5 and the rest are based on your record. Round 2 thru 7 are based on the record. problem solved. -
EJ deserves time on the field with first team offense.
KRT88 replied to gsurdam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
WHY? the season turned in London when EJ single handedly screw it up with a 3 turnover nightmare in a matter of 5 minutes. EJ simply can't get the clock in his head correct. He's late on throws far too often. He admits he sees it on the field but doesn't trust the read. That extra 1/2 second to 1 second makes all the difference. This is TT team, we need to play him and get him as much experience as possible. Not turn it over to a guy who is gonna get released. EJ should have played last year vs NE but Dougie boy wanted the 9-7 record. -
Join the club, it was a foolish hire from day one and look at how it's blowing up in the Pegula's face!
-
The QB class this tear sucks, none rated in top 50 but some if you think there's 3 first rounders! What ranking system are you reading! Keep TT and draft a QB in mid round and develop him! Patients!
-
We can't even agree on what went wrong. TT sucks! Wow, really, he's the best QB the Bills gave had in 15 years. Is he great? No but better than anything else we have seen. The defense was terrible! Rex's system didn't match this personell and it didn't need to be fixed. It went wrong when we hired the egomaniac as head coach. How could it end well went the coach is a blow hole?
-
Let's assume Rex is staying, what next?

This is so easy to see: 1. 3-4 defense full time which means the Williams boys are outta here. Mario and Kyle are both released. Darius becomes a DE, Bills find a NT and move JP to OLB. Since we gutting Williams, I foresee a an Aaron Williams retirement and a Duke Williams highway. 2. The O-line is a disaster so the Cordy Glenn thing is hard to predict. I'm not sure you can re-sign him because he's gonna ask for the moon. However can you actual replace him. Looks like you have figure out the RT spot too. I'm also not convined Woods is the answer at C plus both guards were OK and bad at times. Nothing like having a crappy OL. 3. The coaching staff pretty much stays the same. And we were worried Roman would become a HC after out great season. TT is the QB, we need to get him a contract. Come on, he may not be the greatest but what Bills QB in the post Flutie era has even been close to him? WE need to get better WR and depth at RB that can stay healthy. -

let's evaluate the team: QB - s solid but can't make throws when needed. Not sure he gets situation football. RB - McKoy is a major injury waiting to happen but he's a gamer. Karlos can't stay healthy. WR - Sammy can't stay healthy, disappears too often. Rest are average at best. TE - tough to say. Clay disappears often and others are nothing great OL is a disaster DL is getting gutted in off season. Mario and Kyle will be gone, JP will be moved to OLB. LB are average at best DB are the strength of the team, but Aaron Williams may need to retire. Duke Williams, hey if every other Williams is leaving why not him too. K and P - ??? kicker might go but punter is good. yep we are good shape going into next year. -

I can't complain loud enough, how the hell did Rex Ryan ruin the defense? Come on! He made changes that weren't needed and now look at the results. and to think he's on a 5 year contract and even billionaire TP isn't gonna eat $20+M. -

Typical Bills. You hire a HC who guts a top defense because it's not his defense or his system. The team struggle all year especially on defense and the GM gets blame over offensive decisions. Yep, that's Buffalo. -

Who are we rooting for to win the SB? Me? The Jets.

I live in NC and have done so for 17 years. Therefore I'd enjoy seeing Carolina win it. In fact I'd enjoy it more if they could beat NE in the game! After that, Arizona is the 2nd choice. -
Off Season Needs: Draft and Free Agency
KRT88 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
let's see. are we gonna pay Cordy Glenn massive money? Seriously, is he gonna get a contract? It should be up as he was a 2nd round pick in 2012. Do we think he's worth 7/8m a year on a 5/6 year deal. I'd guess he'll command 30m guaranteed at least. OK, so let's say we don't pay: needs: LT, LG (Richie isn't signed), RT, TE depth, WR (need a bigger target), DE (as Mario is gonna be let go), NT (Kyle gonna be let go and Marcel is moving to DE), LB depth, and you can always use more CB. Perhaps a K too! Yep, really simple. -
curse of Doug Flutie every since we benched him for the playoff game back in 1999, what has truly gone right for this franchise?
-
After yet another disappointing season, how will the off season "reload" look? Do we really blow it and make massive moves or do we simply make adjustments. I think the age of Williams will come to end. I can foresee Mario and Kyle Williams both being released. I can see Jerry Hughes being moved to OLB. It looks like Aaron Williams may have to strongly consider giving in up and Duke Williams, well he isn't very good anyhow. Leodis McKelvin is clearly another guy who has to go. There's plenty of good young talent on the defensive side of the ball but obviously, Rex's great attacking defense needs "his" players. The offensive side of the ball seems to be all about the O-line. Do we invest big time in Cordy Glenn? Are there better options? Is he worth a big time contract, which is what he would ask for. Is Richie Incognito resigned? He is 32 now, and maybe yesterday was a preview of things to come. What about Eric Woods? Can we do better? And then the right side, which has been below average at best. Obviously both John Miller and Seantrel Henderson will be back. You can't upgrade and rebuild an entire O-line in one off season. We also need a big receiver, a backup running back who can stay healthy. We also might need a new kicker and exactly why do we waste a roster spot on a kickoff specialist? Lots of changes are coming in my book but will they mean a thing? Based on recent history, say the entire 21st century worth of history, it seems unlikely.
-
sadly enough, last season after 13 games, we were actually in the playoff hunt. This season, sorry add another year of disappointment to the century!
-
Keep both, why start over again. It hasn't work yet. Maybe patience is the key here. Phillips Williams Murlarky Jauron Gailey Ryan That 6 coaches this century and Pittsburgh has had 3 in my life! 46+ years!
