Yes we can pump the breaks after something bad happens. How many people expect us to get to 7-2? How about 6-3? 5-4 seems most likely, which is why the playoff talk is foolish at best. How we respond to the up coming loss we know is going to happen that really matters. Miami has to be the only focus as nothing good occurs if we drop a division game and fall to 1-3 in the conference (0-2) in the division.

The scary part of the Rams, the defensive line can flat punch teams in the mouth! They dominate so much it makes the whole team good. with this defense, unable to stop anyone, even on 3rd and long 4-12 5-11 at best Plus the offense hasn't improved at all, they are so predictable. So they hit a few big plays. On the positive, they don't have to worry about paying Stephen Gilmore because he definitely isn't worth eating 15m a year on.

Tough schedule,3 west coast games and this franchise has shown to be terrible out west. A great start is absolutely necessari say 9-7 and that doesn't get it done!

If I'm another NFL and this moves into the regular season, I'd start making the phone calls to see if they are willing to trade the player. Giving up a first and a conditional pick, based on where that first ends up might be smart business for some teams. This might be the first situation of it kind to occur, first I can remember, since Cornelius Bennett refused to sign with Indy and eventually was traded to Buffalo in that 3 way deal that saw Erik Dickerson move to the Colts.
