  1. Trust in St. Doug to punt when the game and entire season are on the line and he is inside Miami territory. Jauron 2.0. What a doof!
  2. When is the most critical part of the game? His timing is usually impeccable
  3. Ugh. I hate Walt Coleman's crew. At least it's not another Patriot game.
  4. It's #1 in the News poll with a bullet. Nothing going to top that one!
  5. No. Their offense is an abomination. Tough to win when 17 points is an outpouring. They don't throw the ball consistently and they are below poor running it. Their play calling and execution are so sub par, especially in the red zone, that I see little hope of this team making a run unless their defense plays lights out (and avoids getting discouraged by how poor their offense is). They can afford ZERO off games on defense in their "winnable" games. Even then, as Kansas City showed, it was still not enough. It won't get any more favorable than home, after a bye, against a conference opponent with a limited offense like KC. I see no light at the end of the tunnel but the train of 15 years of no playoffs.
  6. I thought that was a terrible call. I have not seen that play highlighted anywhere.
  7. The way we've played against Tannehill, I'd rather face him than Matt Moore.
  8. Many on this board were arguing it was the worst call of all time.
  9. https://vine.co/v/OiH06vArWL5 Per Jeremy White. Hard to argue when you see it at that angle.
  10. They can't run or pass consistently. Every once in a while they'll hit a big play for a score but they rarely sustain long drives. I hate seeing them waste this years defense and special teams. You name it, they do it. Bad play calling (pass, pass, pass like yesterday when they weren't having much success with the pass game; or run, run, pass like vs jets when their running game was non existent), inaccurate QBing, no run game etc. Ugh. It is so damn frustrating. They have a defense good enough to contend but an offense mired in mediocrity.
  11. Glass is an appropriate nickname. He will be cut next year.
  12. When the Chiefs had a 3rd and 15 down 10 and got 14. Then scored on the next play from 40 yards out. If the Bills force a punt, they are up 10 with the ball back in the 4th quarter.
  13. Looked like his shoulders moved slightly to me. I thought it was the correct call. I never thought the Bills were serious about going for it.
  14. Up 13-3. 3rd and 15 for KC. Pass for 14. Go for it on 4th and 1. Charles bolts to the end zone. The beginning of the end. No pressure on 3rd and 15 was a killer. The whole momentum of the game turned by not getting off the field there. Of course if Bryce Bown doesn't fumble in the end zone, we wouldn't be discussing it. So many coulda woulda shouldas today. UGH!
  15. Me too. There are a number of elite D tackles that are picked in the 1st round these days. We have one in Dareus. In my opinion, if you are going to try to block one of these monsters with a slow ploddy big power guy you are doomed to failure. The Bills running game is so limited by the inability to go anywhere but between the tackles and by the fact that the linemen just cannot get out ahead of wider run plays or screens and are not athletic enough to block the elite athletic DT's so many teams now offer up.. I think Marrone's philosophy of bigger is better is a vestige of the 70's. It is, in my opinion, the main reason this team is struggling so much to sustain offense. They do hit big plays from time to time but they just cannot drive the ball on long marches and are behind on down and distance routinely putting added pressure on Orton and the pass blocking. The D and ST's have been way above average. Even an average offensive line and the Bills would be a team to be reckoned with. I do not have good vibes on the 2nd half of the season as I just don't think this offense is up to the task.
  16. Cleveland is the best team in the best division in football (no teams under .500). Pettine and Shanahan and Jim O'Neil have done a great job. Hoyer is much better than I thought he was. Cinci was terrible but Cleveland's defense contributed to making them look bad. They are a sneaky good team the Browns.
  17. Really impressed with how well the Browns played on both sides of the ball. Hoyer carried out nice play action fakes and made good decisions, the blocking for the running game was good and the Browns defense just stifled the Bengals. Really impressive road game.
  18. The road to the Super Bowl in the AFC goes through New England. As long as Gronkowski (and Brady) stay health, they are just a bear to match up with. At least the Bills aren't the only ones that can't do it. The rumor of their demise was greatly exaggerated. If anything, they look a lot better than they did last year.
  19. Miami getting great QB play out of Tannehill and they have a very good D. They are a definite playoff threat. I hope they peak with this game and start heading down a level or 2 from here. Minnesota has a much better defense than I thought prior to their game up here. They keep them in every game. Michael Vick really is a shell of what he used to be and so is Chris Johnson.
  20. What if we kept the picks and took Benjamin (instead of Ebron as posited above)?
  21. I'd worry about KC. They are very good. The Fish can wait.
  22. I think you have the right idea. My only addition would be I'd like one of my guards to be a high round pick along with the center and as good of an athlete as I can find. There are so many 1st round Dt's w/ off the chart size and speed ratios that you need somebody to combat that or your QB gets killed up the middle and your running game goes nowhere. It would help if they had the athleticism to pull and move as well as hold their ground. I don't think the later round guards seem capable of it. To me I think we have too many stop gap guards and it borders on making the offense a disaster.
  23. I dont see why Orton wouldn't be back. My understanding is that he has a 2 yr deal @ a very reasonable $5 mil per. That is cheap for a #1 Qb. With no 1st round pick, I cant see them taking a Qb that would be an obvious #1. By paying their starting Qb only $5 mil, they can allocate monies for Dareus, Hughes or extending Glenn.
  24. Reminded me of the Butch Rolle play the Bills used so successfully back in the good old days.
