  1. Anybody know which member of the Manning family will be officiating this contest?
  2. God, I'll say! Jeez it is hard to watch. It is set up perfectly. Equal number of blockers to defenders or maybe even an odd man advantage. Then the guards whiff and the play is topped for like a 3 yard gain when 30 was possible. Worst guards I have ever seen in space. Ugh! First play, 3 yard out to Hogan.
  3. I don't mean to be over the top negative but honestly it is hard to game plan within the capabilities of the team when you don't have a very good run or pass game and your quarterback is so so. They have almost no explosive plays when Sammy is shut down. Last week they got 2 from Gray, likely because Cleveland had no idea what he would do. Against a very good team like Denver, I do not expect them to be able to sustain long scoring drives in a number sufficient to keep up with Denver. Denver averages over 30 a game at home and has weapons all over the place. Even if the Bills play very good defense, I see the Broncos scoring in the 20's. I don't see the Bills being able to score in the 20's on Denver when they can't score that at home (without the D scoring for them).
  4. Yes it will be imminent around 4:15pm Sunday Eastern Standard Time. Today, not so much. The Bills offense is horrible and will not score much,if anything. They have nothing to scare a very good Broncos defense. Can't run the ball consistently and do not have the QB or offense to do anything explosive. I doubt they have enough long drives in them to amount to anything.
  5. Apparently Watkins was hurt vs Browns (and may well still be dinged from groin injury before that): http://bills.buffalonews.com/2014/12/01/sammy-watkins-suffered-hip-injury-browns/ I know it has been said a few thousand times before but our guards are terrible and watching them try to block perfectly set up screen passes is depressing. They have zero mobility. Those plays should go for more than 6 yards.
  6. Jerome Boger is just about assured of having some major snafu tomorrow. At best he is marginally competent.
  7. I'm not thrilled with Goodwin getting hurt as much as he does either. That said, if he goes and Spiller goes too, those are 2 of the fastest players in the league that would be leaving. It is infuriating that the OC cannot figure out a way to incorporate those types of talents into this system. Teams die to get players with break away speed and yet we likely will be casting them out. Poor O Line play and inept coordination have been huge problems this year.
  8. Very depressing: http://www.buffalone...broken-20141126 One of my all time favorite Bills. I hate to see this happen.
  9. Punt and kickoff return guy with McKelvin out and Goodwin (glass) ready to shatter at a moments notice.
  10. Anybody have any idea how many Browns fans are making the trek in for Sunday? I know they don't travel like Steelers fans do but am wondering what it might look and sound like at the Ralph.
  11. I have no problems with Pettine leaving to be a head coach somewhere. If he had left say to coach the Pats defense I might not have been too happy. He did a really good job here in his 1st stint as a coordinator. I wish him nothing but the best of luck. Whitner, however, is a legend in his own mind. Just an average player and a complete waste of a high draft pick.
  12. You have my sincere sympathies and good wishes. No kidding around. No sarcasm. I hope this next batch isn't as significant. Stay safe. You are dealing with an event almost unprecedented in the United States. This too shall pass, Hang in there.
  13. Seriously, with travel bans and possibly 5 feet of snow, how do they practice tomorrow thru Friday? I also wonder where on earth and how on earth they will move all of that snow out of the ralph parking lots as well as the stadium in time for the game Sunday. Monday night football instead?
  14. I think he does but he has a good situation in New England and can pick and choose his spot.
  15. Uh because our team is mediocre AGAIN. Cause we aren't beating Denver and N England on the road and our chances of making the playoffs are slim and none (even if we win the tiebreakers are all bad). Cause we have watched this team and this organization fail miserably for 15 years now. Cause this offense is nearly unwatchable and we have an OC who is is wayyyy over his head. Cause our head coach talks about coaching up the O line and it is the worst unit on the team. Cause we are wasting what might be a once in a 25 year caliber d line. Cause we have no #1 draft choice and desperately need a #1 QB. Cause we have wasted the talent of CJ Spiller for 4 years and this dopey coaching staff was still clueless as to how to use him. Cause too many fans drink the Kool aid that this organization sells and it creates hopes that over and over and over (count to 15) are unfullfilled. I could keep going but why bother. That good enough for ya?
  16. I agree with all of it except the part about Chip Kelly. There was no way on God's green earth he was coming here. Buffalo is NOT a destination for hot coaches and big name coaches. Maybe that will change with Pegula in place but I wouldn't count on it. They want nothing to do with this place. At the time, with Ralph still alive and the Toronto series going, it was a non starter with him. Fans are delusional about Cowhers and Shanahans etc. With regard to Marrone, I think everything you said is true. i'd add that he has espoused an approach that any big guy guard will do and he can make something out of them. How has that worked out?
