They learned at the combine that Deone Walker had a stress fracture in his back. They say his 2023 film was of a 1st round pick, but he fell off some last year and we got him in the 4th. I’ll take a shot on that in the 4th, but not much sooner.

Do you think it’s possible they were hoping for Dont’e Thornton Jr at #109 but he went to the Raiders the pick before us, so we went with Walker? I don’t pretend to know if that would have been the right move, but he sounds like the field stretcher we are seeking. I’m sure every draft has twists and turns like that. Being in the war room for a draft might be the coolest ”sporting event” I can think of attending. They always say all the right things at the podium, but you know there’s got to be some things that went wrong at the last minute. .

Yeah, they are on pick 207 now, with more to go. If Bond is still on the board there is not much of a confidence level in his situation. It’s not worth the risk to draft him where his ability would indicate. Also, you might be interested that Quinn Ewers is still undrafted. He probably could have made more money in college.

He was available late, and I believe he went undrafted. I don’t think people were willing to brush away his issues.

Isaiah Bond is still undrafted, or was until very recently. The BIlls met with him a lot, but I guess they could never find a comfort level that would let them pull the trigger. I hated that this stuff happens for anyone even remotely involved.

We gave Blichick some easy wins when he was pounding us with someone like Lagarrette Blunt, and we had no answer. We should at least have some different tools allowing for more options.

So, the bottom line right now is the Bills have taken 3 DL, 3 CB’s and a TE. No WR (yet) but they knew what positions they wanted to retool! I get a bit lost in the moment, but that says it all.

We’re a generous bunch, should we start a fund or something? I don’t know what really happened, but I did not like the accusations. We sit here in our chairs and have opinions about people we’ve never met. Even the armchair guys who are super into this and very knowledgeable never get to meet the people involved. What kind of guy is he? It’s like the movie Draft Day, why didn’t your teammates come to your 21st birthday party? Stuff like that matters, especially to the Bills, it seems.

We met with him a bunch of times. I wonder if at some point he’s worth a shot, or if he’s just off our board.

I don’t mind for a second the message Shedeur received, and if I’m a Browns fan I’m loving the value. He could possibly be their guy, and they got him in the 5th.
