I know you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's pretty open and shut. Looking at feet. Starts waving incomplete. Was about to blow the call because he didn't think he was inbounds. A competent NFL official doesn't "almost" blow that call imo.

He's standing five feet away looking RIGHT AT Harris' feet and he can't make the correct call. One of the Top 10 all-time QBs should be able to use this as motivation. I think he'll turn it around and finish off the season strong. I'm basing this solely on Peyton Manning the man -- not the football player. We didn't see it today, but that defense is good enough to get the Broncos deep into the playoffs with a mediocre QB. I believe that's what Peyton is this year, today's game notwithstanding.
