  1. So I heard that with CBS's new deal with the NFL, it is all different. Not sure of the details but the old rules are not in place.
  2. Stevie Johnson would an awesome fit on our offense and make more impact than a rookie. And we have picks to give up; I hate Greg Little !!!
  3. Browns fans predicting 5-11! Open on the road in Pitt, Play NFC South. Still better than last year if we win 5- maybe Pettine hangs on for another year!
  4. I would like a QB... prefer Derek Carr out of this year's group. He has the arm for the weather here. If they can get him at 26, would like Khalil Mack at 4. I think Coach Pettine loves him, lol. The Browns have about 17 holes so need just about everything. Defensive playmakers are at the top of it though.
  5. I am a huge EJ Manuel fan. I really wanted the Browns to draft him last year. I watched his press conference from yesterday. He is really impressive. Good things ahead for you, Bills friends!
  6. I think the Rams are trying to get the Browns (or another team who may want Manzeil) to trade up to 2
  7. These are based on Browns needs.... Philly Brown/WR OSU Paul Richardson/WR Colorado Martavis Bryant/WR Clemson Storm Johnson/RB UCF Jack Mewhort/OL OSU
  8. The Bills a PR Nightmare? I didn't even hear about any of this until I saw it here. I am very Glad Marrone's issue wasn't serious. The texting thing is ridiculous and doesn't make the Bills look bad, it makes the guy who sued them look obnoxious. The cheerleader thing is all over the league and not just the Bills. Welcome to Cleveland where, just this year: The owner is being investigated on federal criminal charges They fired the HC after 11 months They ran a botched coaching search in which several candidates wouldn't even talk to them because of their joke status They fired the FO after 13 months A story came out that they tried to trade their whole draft for Jim Harbaugh, after they had hired Pettine Fans were picketing in front of the Browns offices for being terrible The owner and former FO were publically called out in the season ending presser as being the "Three Stooges" A WR was arrested for assault on a police officer, tweeted out several incriminating pics, and then cut The best organizational performance in the last 20 years was in a fictional movie
  9. Again, I apologize for any confusion. It was just a simple comment and really didn't anticipate it would cause such a stir... "scary" just in terms of a draft pick was what I meant. I will be sure to choose my words more careful in the future!
  10. Looks great! I can't wait to go there for the Browns @ Bills game. Schedule comes out Tuesday!
  11. He would make a great wide receiver! I'd like the Browns to pick him up but I don't think he is allowed back in the state of Ohio.
  12. Looks like it is just a difference of opinion on a draft prospect. I may be more sensitive to what I and others perceive to be his red flags because there is a real chance we get stuck with him leading our team and that, to me, is a risk. I do think it would set the Browns back years if he doesn't work out because they just cut the QB they drafted in the 1st rd two years ago and fired the head coach they hired 1 year ago. The Browns are trying to come across as a more professional organization and I think will start following what I think is the more intelligent route of allowing a rookie QB and head coach to establish a system and develop, instead of having the inability to commit to anything for more than a year. At least I hope we aren't going through this again next year. Yes, they certainly do. Like you, I think that he will be a good QB in the NFL. He's accurate and makes plays. I just see others I like better for the Browns in particular.
  13. I am not sure why you are giving me the third degree. But if you must know the answers... Is it more scary? Less scary? You say they aren't the same scary..... Considering I am a female, more scary Would you be less "scared" if the Browns took Winston (if he was available right now)? See above Are you not scared about your QB situation as it is? I don't think "scared" is the word I would choose. More annoyed. Has any scout or GM or coach agreed with your assessment that JM is "uncoachable"? I didn't provide an "assessment" that Manzeil is uncoachable as a player. I said that someone who drank to deal with his fame, (according to his father) is someone who could have an issue that would go beyond what a coach would like to deal with in a franchise QB in the NFL. That is the uncoachable part. Sorry for any confusion. Also, I didn't realize I needed a a scout/GM/coach to agree with my opinion about a draft prospect before expressing them.
  14. Violent crime or not, that article about Manziel was scary enough to make GMs think twice. Some things aren't coachable. I know I'll be pretty scared if the Browns take him - he seems like he is more about himself and his brand than much anything. That won't fly in Cleveland. What will happen when they lose their first few games and he cant handle the criticism? Browns fans can be pretty rough. Maybe he would be better off somewhere like Jax where no one seems to care. I am hoping for Derek Carr.
  15. I know I am an outsider, but I can't wrap my head around why the Bills would bother with any of these QBs with their #1 pick, let alone Manziel who I think is risky NFL prospect to begin with. Draft someone who can help you. Now. He'll make a comeback from the knee injury but I don't think he should be the starter. He is a nice story, hometown boy... but he wasn't good in college and is on his 4th or 5th team. He won a couple games which I know is a big deal for the Browns as they only win about 4 per year on average, but he hasn't shown me enough to not draft a QB at 4. I just hope they take the right one (i.e. Weeden 2012) and that they don't gamble and wait until the 2nd round thinking the guy they want will be there (i.e. Manuel 2013). I don't have much faith they will make the right decision.
  16. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 1h For those wondering: False report of a bomb threat is punishable by up to a year in jail.
  17. According to NFL.com, CJ2K still holds the record at 4.24, Dri Archer took over 2nd this year with 4.26 and Goodwin now in 3rd at 4.27. These are only results since 2006 and doesn't include pro days, just official combine 40 times. I seem to remember Bo Jackson and maybe Deion Sanders being in the 4.21 range?
  18. Good player, better agent. Two very inexperienced GMs with money to burn due to lack of good players on their rosters. JMO. Also - the contract states they can't tag or trade him. He can void it after year 2. So we are forcing him to play here for two more lousy years because they didn't want to sign him to a long term deal in the first place. So yes, they are letting him walk for nothing. In 2 years.
  19. They are all in Cali this weekend working out. Even SJ.Dream Katcher ‏@CatchinMyDreams 51m Good work today! #BillsMafia @steviejohnson13 @ejmanuel3 #Remy http://instagram.com/p/mtEwmhNNOS/
  20. Browns fans tailgated before the movie. LOL!
  21. As a Browns fan, I disagree. He isn't a great Center, we will continue to not be able to run the ball, it was a desperation move by the Browns. The reason they have the money to pay this to a Center is because they have no other players. I am surprised they place such a high value on Mack.
  22. That is about what it was like at a Bills-Browns game in 2007. Blizzard-like (Cleveland Browns stadium). I think Browns won 8-0 but it was a terrible game all-around. Maybe this year will be a good game for once! Last year was exciting game for us, but with both QBs getting hurt, it left us kind of empty wondering what would have happened if it wasn't all backups.
