  1. Amusing, but I must disagree about the tie knot. It is classic, not outdated. A nice small knot with the obligatory dimple. Nothing wrong with that. Yes, it's too long, but the knot is actually perfect.
  2. Hoax. I've been to Fresno. No one in Fresno is buying a baguette.
  3. Are you sure you want to improve those reading scores? That would only cut into your Poorly Educated base.
  4. Stolen Valor! https://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/news/politics/sheehy-gunshot-senate-tester-montana-glacier/article_f112e499-9dbd-502f-aaa0-12b0ff18cee5.html
  5. He picked a Californian gold digger as his running mate. Since the constitution says the prez and VP can't be from the same states, Californian RFK said he's a NY resident. It appears the judge called him on his bs. Boo-hoo.
  6. Those numbers are still YOY. The current month-to-month inflation rate - the amount by which prices are actually increasing today - is much lower. We've beaten back inflation.
  7. And here we go again. Stephen Miller preparing the Trump waters for the inevitable "rigged election" dispute and multiple Trumpie state election officials refusing to certify. You beat me to it.
  8. It's a joke. But ... ... what would be wrong about adopting policy positions that the majority of Americans agree with? We criticize candidates for being "too progressive/left" or "too conservative/right." In other words, out of step with the majority of Americans - a majority that we consider more sensible than politicians who have been dragged to the extremes by pandering to their special interest bases. This was a big part of the appeal of Trump in 2016. He was an outsider, not beholden to the special interests that run both parties, and therefore able to speak for the majority of common sense Americans.
  9. Well now you know how unhinged, angry, incoherent some people are around here. Policy talk? I enjoy that. So do some others. So don't be intimidated by the fools.
  10. I have to disagree Communication is his greatest strength. I’d go so far as to say his only strength as a politician. He is a master of making people believe something through sheer repetition. The “only I can fix it” type of thing. The “don’t believe your eyes and ears, the January 6 rioters were patriots and meant no harm.” Three and a half years ago that was a joke. All the other Republican leaders were shocked by what happened right in front of them. They still are privately shocked. But the Trump base? They believe him now. They actually think it was a good thing. There are not many politicians who can accomplish that. It is a superpower that I happen to believe is being used for evil, not good.
  11. Trump: I’m so incredibly popular that probably 20 million people will want to watch my interview with Musk. Musk: a million people tried to log in; must be a DDOS attack!
  12. He stole the valor of those formally promoted from E-8 to E-9! Like the alternate to the alternate selection calling himself a Pro Bowler. This cannot be tolerated. Valor!
  13. Have you looked at his crowds? Have you noticed that a couple of morbidly obese people died while rioting on January 6? But like most Americans, including Trump, the label “fat” somehow doesn’t apply to them.
  14. You mean the contingency plan in case Biden - having just tested positive for COVID - MIGHT have been taken to the hospital instead of directly to Air Force 1? Please listen to these thrilling police radio communications about closing off streets from the convention center to the hospital just in case they decided to take him there. I did. You’ll be on the edge of your seat.
  15. The new title of this thread - Trump on X. Beats Trump on crack I guess.
  16. You mean how Biden will wrestle it back for himself at the Convention? Or how Hillary or Michelle will suddenly be nominated? Sorry. Not gonna happen.
  17. This one goes out to a young man in Cincinnati who goes by JD.
  18. The inability to put anything together? Or the ability to weave all manner of unrelated events into one grand conspiracy?
  19. Gotta admit it, I kind of love this: https://www.semafor.com/article/08/12/2024/poll-democratic-attacks-on-jd-vance-are-working You know those "word cloud" things? You mention a name and ask people what word first comes to mind. JD Vance Top 3: - Conservative - Anti-Woman - WEIRD
  20. And that's how we know that the post-Trump "Republicans" aren't Republicans at all. It is a whole new party. The Trump Party. Everything else is excised from history, other than the occasional reference to Lincoln (with the understanding that Trump actually did a little bit more for black folks than Lincoln). It is as if George Wallace had gotten the Democratic nomination in 1968 and pushed out all competitors. It bears zero resemblance to the Grand Old Party.
  21. Hey, Trump knows a deal when he sees one. Lightly used plane, estate sale, owner committed suicide ... Let's try this one: Trump ordered him killed so he could buy his plane for cheap.
  22. Umm, because they're not funny? These stupid Walz/horse s[]men things aren't getting out of the right-wing twitter-sphere! Right-wing jokey fact checker fact checks it. NO ONE OTHER THAN YOU (and me, sadly) WILL SEE IT. Because it's not funny. I tried to explain, but there's no explaining humor to the humorless.
