Bills sign safety Kareem Jackson
The Frankish Reich replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Some of the hits he was penalized/suspended for were questionable. Each one is isolation may be "could go either way." But there's a record of repeated questionable hits, and the reputation that goes with that. And that's on him. -
Bills sign safety Kareem Jackson

Dirty player, and the penalties/suspensions for it were no longer offset by performance as he hit his mid-30s. I'm hoping he doesn't make the cut. -
J.D. Vance - Character and Policies
The Frankish Reich replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Did you read the NYT story? Because if you had, you'd realize there's nothing unfair here, unless you think that revealing personal emails is inherently unfair. It makes Vance look like a kind, decent, thoughtful, open guy. That is, up until he started running for political office as some kind of Trump mini-me. At that point he became kind of an a-hole, insulting groups of people for no good reason other than it made him look better to Trump. For me, it raises some hope that the kind, decent, thoughtful, open guy is still there under the layers of sycophantic bs. For Trumpies, it scares them to death that he may be doesn't really hate the people he's supposed to hate. Which really tells you all you need to know about Trump's base supporters. -
Kamala's VP?
The Frankish Reich replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
the only basis for choosing him was the idea that it would put NC in play. Which Cooper probably realizes is not the case, polling or otherwise. So drop out now rather than being passed on -
J.D. Vance - Character and Policies

In order: - Biden angrily denied that he lacks the mental acuity to do the job - Trump told America that he was shot in the ear and he felt a bullet pierce his earlobe - Kamala clarified that "border Czar" was a name made up by others about her assignment - Yet JD Vance has NEVER denied having sexual relations with that nonwoman, the couch. Hmm.

It’s not too late! too bad he chose Vance -
So Biden should obviously resign today. Kamala should run as an incumbent. Is that what I'm hearing? Because if Biden is mentally unfit today, well, that's what follows. But you (or at least Trump and those millions who hang on his every word) don't want that. So, you must believe that Biden at least is "fit enough" to continue on until January 20. But "fit enough" = "fit," because you either are or you aren't. There's no little bit pregnant or little bit fit. At least Trump believes that. In other words, we both believe Biden is mentally fit. Maybe it wasn't worth changing your screen name over your poorly reasoned attempted distinction. Aren't you stuck with it for 6 months? You are wasting your opportunity to influence the election! You could have gone with "Kamala is a Laughing Hyena." That could've swung it. At least in Wisconsin.

Unlikely if you expect that all ballots are received and counted randomly at the same time. Guess what? They're not! Some states have weird rules about when early voting ballots are counted/tabulated. Mail in absentee ballots may be counted later. All sorts of weird rules. I agree with you that we ought to have more consistent voting rules across the states to avoid this kind of speculation about what it all must mean, but not because there's anything inherently sinister here.

Random Political Thoughts Inc.
The Frankish Reich replied to T&C's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But they keep churning out those Star Wars sequels/prequels/spinoffs. Because people keep watching them. What does that say? -
Where are the people clamoring for him to resign right now if he's so mentally unfit today. No. Big majorities didn't want him to run because they were concerned about where he'd be in 3 or 4 years. Because, you know, he'll be like 85 or something. Oh, America is crumbling under senile Biden right now! Inflation went way up, now it's under control. The markets go up, up, up, but not quite as much as the went up, up [way, way down, then Fed intervenes], way way, way up under Trump! We don't have troops involved in any foreign conflicts! Oil production hit an all time high! How much more of this winning can we sustain!

Trump has proved the point. - You say it before the election, over and over. "The only way they can win is by rigging it." - You say it as the election is happening. I'm winning, and the only way they can "catch up" (meaning: counting ballots already cast) is by cheating. - You say it every day after the election: We won. We won. We won. And people will start to believe it. And then become firmly convinced of it. No matter what 60 dismissed lawsuits find. No matter what your own audits (Arizona, Georgia) find. No matter how much your people are ordered or agree to pay in settlements for making completely unsupported or even disproved allegations of fraud (Fox/Dominion, Rudy Giuliani/Georgia election workers). No matter anything. That is brainwashing. Trump is a master at one thing. He has convinced you that egging on protesters to raid the Capitol and disrupt the counting of electoral votes to send the slates "back to the states" (which would then summarily declare Trump the victor) wasn't an attempt to overthrow the validly certified electoral slates of those states. He can convince you of anything. You are mesmerized by him. He knows it. That's why he said he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue in broad daylight and you'd still vote for him. He knows you better than you know yourself.

You have a problem with comprehension. This is ostensibly a football forum. So let's try that. Bills move on from Matt Morse. Didn't want to re-sign him to a multi-year contract. Standard opinion: "He was fine at Center last year, but with his age and health history there are concerns about whether he will remain effective throughout a 4-year contract extension." Now do a global find-and-replace for "Morse" with "Biden" and for "Center" with "President" As a great man once said, it all depends on what the meaning of "is" is. Take that one to heart, Mr. "Biden Is Mentally Fit. (You suck at argument)

The American Media Should Not Be Trusted

This is how the immediate post-Hezbollah attack headline reads on my Wash Post online account: Strike in Israeli-controlled Golan Heights kills at least 12 and threatens to spark a wider war A rocket strike at a soccer field in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights has killed at least 12 children and teens It does have a bias, but you ain't gonna find it here.
