1/2/23 Week 17 Gameday Bills @ Bengals Pregame Thread
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
If that's the case, wasn't there a game earlier in the year, where he was grabbing his hip right before halftime & stretching? KC game maybe, not sure which game it was. The sideline reporter gave an update on it right before the 2nd half started. -
I'll admit up front, Im in no way sure how the tie breakers go, but maybe opponents record or even common opponents record? Which could flip-flop with GB playing Detroit and Seattle playing LA. Both are common opponents.🤷

LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Our offense has scored an average of 33.5 points a game over the last 2 weeks. The highest 2 week average since weeks 1 & 2. All while spreading the ball around and finally committing to being a balanced offense. It's all good.👍 -
GB has a better conference record than Seattle 6/5 vs 5/6.
-
Talking swings from that time period, Darryl Strawberry. Such long arms and swing, but the swing looked effortless and the ball would go a mile. Only later to find out that he was out partying all night, the nights before games and rarely slept. He could've had a special career.

Christopher Walken is a national treasure!! NSFW: It does swear once in this video. -
EDIT: For people at work, it does swear once in the video.

Good Lord the fantasy world you live in. My facts lack context? Facts are Cole showed he could no longer survive a full season and while he didn't miss games, his production suffered badly. I don't need an opinion on whether his play was declining, the facts show it to be the case. And you say this, while not providing an opinion yourself. Hmm, seems a bit hypocritical if you ask me(Now there's my 1st stated opinion) It's not hard to grasp, you could clearly see it in his play in the final 11 games of last year and in his production. You keep wanting this discussion to go somewhere other than football play, seems 9dd yoy keep tryingto steer it that way, don't it? So who's the politically motivated one here? Me, simply for stating the obvious or you, who hasn't really provided anything other than a potential rib injury that may or may not have led to his declining play, but definitely didn't affect him for 3 months. Now that I got that said, I have some questions for you. What injury did Cole have that prevented him from playing up to his potential for 3 months? I see now you're mentionimg the possibility of multiple injuries? You're congering nothing out of thin air in an attempt to support your failing arguement it appears. Back to the potential multiple injuries, I nor anyone else seems to be aware of this. Please provide a link to this information. As of now all we have is a rib injury. Ribs even if it's a fracture, maybe you're looking at a month, 3 months, not a chance. Herbert factured his rib cartilage, more painful than a rib fracture, this year and his play suffered for what, 3-4 weeks before his play returned to where it was before he was injured. When did Cole's play return back to it's pre-November status? It's been 14 months and it still hasn't. if his level of play was still there he would have more than 2 catches for 18 yards in his 1st 2 games back, offense is mostly the same plays that were run last year and he already said he was playing basketball regularly and that basketball keeps him in shape better than football. Allen and him had a strong connection and were always on the same page when he was here before. Seems like he'd be the perfect plug and play candidate. How about this year, what has Cole done this season, surely he had to be healthy by September. He couldn't even get enough practice time with Brady on a team that was/is dying for WR help. Seems as though you are the who had chosen a strange hill to die on, no? The FACTS support what I said, all you have is a potential rib injury that took far longer to heal for Cole than other players in football and some insinuations. I'll even end this with giving you my opinion on this, I don't want the back half of the 2021 football player Cole Beasley, imo he's not an improvement to what we already have and our offense is statically better in every area on offense this year over last. Last year Cole had his worst ypc average & worst td output since his rookie year, even though he had a cereet high in targets with 112, his rookie year his number of targets was only 24. But if Cole returned and was the 2020 version or the 1st half of last year Cole Beasley, sign me up in a second, that player I want. He would be able to help us get a Super Bowl title this year, but since October turned to November last year, that hasn't been him, he's only been a jag. You can reply, but I'm done with your insinuation based arguement, while providing little else to discuss of play on the field. You seem more interested in your play on the off the field stuff. I come on here to get away from that nonsense, not to hear more of it. Good day sir.

If Somehow Hyde Returns, We Win The Super Bowl

For some yes, for others no. I hope it can happen, but I know that the chances are incredibly low. -

I think he's trying to say he'd be a little, tiny bit better. -

Josh was playing worse last December, including a 42.3 completion percentage 0 td, 3 int game against Atlanta in week 17 last year. He had his lowest QB Rating of his career in that game, it was so low it matched his jersey number. After seeing how he stepped his game way up once the playoffs started, I don't worry anymore about Josh in big games. In primetime games this year he has 17 tds, 5 ints and a QB Rating a little over 105, while adding another 3 tds rushing. Buffalo is 6-0 in primetime games(I'm counting the Thanksgiving day game, but not KC game). -

Miller will in 2023. His recovery time is 7 months he said. Walking with no brace or crutches after 3 days and was walking up and down stairs with a normal gait a week after surgery. His situation is uncommon though, so I know what your getting at. -
The Ravens Super Bowl run is really the only shocker in the bunch. To lose 4 of your last 5, then win the Super Bowl is crazy. All because Flacco got hot at the right time. In 15 games that year he had 22 tds, 10 ints QB Rating of 87.7, QBR 51.4. In the 4 playoff games he had 11 tds(Half of what he had all season), 0 ints, QB Rating of 117.2, QBR 83.6 I don't know if it's abnormally competitive, it could very well be, but there were 3 teams within 1 game of the #1 seed last year. I will say the 3 top teams this year are better than last year. Titans grabbed the #1 seed with 5 losses and we were the 3 seed with 6 losses. Imo we're alot better than last year.

When are week 18 game times going to be set?
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
Usually I think it's 2 weeks before for games flexed??? It doesn't apply to week 18 as Tuesday will only be 5 days notice and even if it's Sunday night that's only 7 days. -
Below is the season ending win streak of every Super Bowl Champion since 2010. The Rams last year only won their 4 playoff games in a row, but did win 9 out of their last 10. The Bucs in 2020 won their last 8 games. The Chiefs in 2019 won their last 9 games. The Pats in 2018 won their last 5 games. The Eagles in 2017 only won their 3 playoff games in a row, but it appears they sat their starters in week 17. They did win 15 of their last 17 games(Playoffs included). The Pats in 2016 won their last 10 games. The Broncos on 2015 won their last 5 games, but Osweiler started their final 8 games due to Peyton's neck injury. They were 7-1 before Peyton went down. The Pats in 2014(These freaking guys again lol) only won their 3 playoff games on a row. They sat their starters week 17 and lost to us 17-9(Yay!!)They did win 13 of their last 15(Playoffs included). The Seahawks in 2013 won their last 4 games in a row and 12 of their last 14(Playoffs included) The Ravens in 2012 won their 4 playoff games. They lost 4 of their last 5, so I'm not counting that they sat their starters in week 17. The Giants in 2011 won their last 6 games. The Packers in 2010 won their last 6 games. On average the last 12 champions ended their season on a 5.58 win streak. The longest streak was 10 games, the shortest was the minimum of 3 games. This, of course, counts the 2 or 3 teams that sat their starters the last week of the season and lost.

You need to rewatch the 3 playoff games and the Super Bowl game then, I think the media pundits got in your head. He wasn't elite in the playoffs or Super Bowl, I stand by what I said also and backed it up with facts and stats. Yours is based purely on opinion, despite the facts shown to you prove otherwise. Heck they shouldn't even have won the WC game. The refs badly blew a play that gave the Bengals a td even though a ref blew the play dead. The rule clearly states that if a ref blows his whistle during a play, the play doesn't count and the ball is to be returned to its original spot and the down is replayed. They don't win without that td counting. In the end, you have your beliefs, I have mine. Either way no skin off my back.

McKenzie has had the more efficient year compared to Cole's 2021 season anyways. Couple hundred less yards, 8 less 1st downs, but better ypc and 4 times the tds Cole had last year on 62 targets vs Cole's 112 from last year. That's 50 less targets, plus McKenzie has added another 55 yards rushing, 1 rushing td and 3 rushing 1st downs on 9 carries. That's something Cole can't do. So McKenzie has 5 total tds vs 1 from Cole last year. Scoring is the name of the game. McKenzie has also played 2 less game(14) than Cole did last year(16) If we were talking 2020 Cole, now that's totally a different story, but we're not, we're talking Cole in 2021.

Burrow was good in the playoffs & Super Bowl last year, but he wasn't elite by any means. 5 tds and 2 ints in 4 games is very average. His QBR was 51.0, 50.0 is considered the average QBs play. Allen's was north of 95.0 He's 69/101 for 736 yards 5 tds, 2 ints this year in 3 primetime games. A 97.63 QB Rating, almost exactly what his 2021 Playoff QB Rating of 97.3 was. He also added 9 carries for 14 yards, 1.55 ypc, 0 tds. Meanwhile Allen this year in primetime games is 136/209 1,612 yards, 17 tds, 5 ints in 6 primtime games. A 105.6 QB Rating. He's added another 290 yards & 3 tds on the ground on 45 carries averaging 6.44 ypc. Allen whether playoffs or primetime has the better NFL stats. But as far as last year's playoffs are concerned Cincy had the better coaching, not that it was hard, by a wide margin. All the stats point to Burrow being good in the NFL in big games, not elite and rarely has he been the reason they won. Allen is the biggest reason the Bills win in big, primetime games.

Posters would suddenly disappeared for a week or a month and then they would return only to disappear again never to return. We're we told they had been banned, no, but it was pretty obvious. The 2nd part of your comment I 100% agree with. In my experience this is easily the most civil when compared to other boards I've been on. By far it has the best conversations/disagreements.👍

Imo the mods here more forgiving now than in the past.

He had 423 yards in his first 7 games, a 60.5 yard per game average. His last 9 games he had only 270 yards, a 30 yard per game average. That's over a 50% drop in yards per game. Stop with the my comments make it seem like my opinions are based off of something other than his play on the field. I'm not making this political at all, it's funny you suddenly are. I never offered an opinion on anything, only stated facts. I originally said Once October ended Cole stopped having Cole type games. He was below average after that. That's not an opinion, it's fact. You reply with He had 82 catches last year, no other context. Number of catches don't tell you anything. Here's another fact he had 82 catches the year before too. Except he had 967 yards, 11.8 ypc, 4 tds & 54 1st downs vs 2021's 82 catches for 693 yards, 8.5 ypc, 1 td & 35 1st downs. There's a big difference in those 2 82 catch years, no? Last year was his lowest ypc average(Tied) and lowest td output since his rookie year when he had only 24 targets. He had 112 targets last year. All facts, not opinions, not at all political!!!!

What leg injury? The one against the Pats from 2020? I don't recall hearing of a Beasley leg injury last year. I just tried searching Google and the only articles that came up were from 2020 when he fractured his leg againstthe Pats. Not one on a 2021 leg injury. Do you have a link you could share? EDIT: Found an article saying he hurt his ribs in week 8. This I recall and that doesn't take 3 months to heal, especially when it wasn't bad enough to miss any time.

Just realized this, nice Bills AFC stat
LOVEMESOMEBILLS replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kind of correct? He didn't say they won every game against the AFC. Just they beat every AFC team they faced. Obviously they play the AFC East teams twice, so there's wiggle room with each team to lose 1 of the 2 against each one and the statement to still be true. -
For 3 months? Come on now, I don't doubt he could've been injured late in October, but he was a shell of himself right through the end of January. What was this injury that lingered for 60% of the year. There's talk Hyde might be back in 3 months and he had spinal fusion. I don't buy an injury made him play like that for that time. That's wishful thinking there John. That wasn't my argument. I acknowledged he had a good 1st half of the year. Pay attention!!
