  1. For a second, I thought Sully had been replaced by a former NBA headcase now plying his trade in Turkey.
  2. It's "too" bad, not "to" bad. Sorry, don't mean to nit-pik, but there are moments when I believe that texting and Internet chat and comment board use is killing the English language. Carry on as you were.
  3. It wouldn't suprise me if the money-pinching Bills consider cutting him outright. One factor that may play into their thinking is the renegotiation of Johnson's contract. He earned a paltry $385,000 this season and will need to be extended sooner rather than later. Evans' $9 mil+ skews things and drives Johnson's price up as he clearly has supplanted Lee as the number 1 on this team.
  4. Where's my "D Cell" batteries? Oh, wait, sorry wrong era!
  5. Usually when people type "LOL," they don't really "LOL," but when I read this I "LOL'd" really hard. Thanks.
  6. Guess I should add that Arthur Moats finally ended the Brett Favre weekly NFL soap opera.
  7. 3-10 seasons aren't pretty, but despite Jerry Sullivan and his ilk's outlook there are some positives about this team. In the spirit of Christmas let's list a few. Here's one to get it started: I really like the young receiving corps on this team. Johnson has been a revelation, Nelson and Jones have made some big catches, Parrish was finally living up to his potential and let's not forget that camp star Easley will be back next season. In fact, one might argue that the only weak link here all season was the aging and overpaid Lee Evans. All in all, I think the kids have been a big upgrade over TO and Josh Reed, with nothing but upside on the horizon.
  8. Wow, I had forgotten that the "dancing on the field: OT game against the Rams was the day before Howard Cosell told the world that Lennon had been shot, too. I was a junior in high school and went with my Dad to a vigil at UB. Beatles music was playing and people were just crying and shaking - very surreal. Thanks for sharing and here's hoping that the concept of world peace never goes out of style.
  9. Stevie (not Steve, btw - his wishes) is clearly #1 with Evans being a well-suited #2. Nothing wrong with that, I love our receiving corps!
  10. I agree that McGee doesn't have much trade value in the off-season. It's a shame the way his career is devolving. He is a great corner and I think he was the best returner the Bills' have had - including McKelvin, Parrish and Spiller.
  11. I've thought that for the past 4 or 5 games Johnson has looked and acted like the #1, while Evans has made a very capable #2 with a lot of possession catches. If that continues I'm not sure how it will play out in the locker room with the disparity in $$$, but it sure seems to be working on the field.
  12. He may be a lousy Def. Coordinator but if you go to Niagara Falls his namesake is one helluva jewler. George Edward's Jewlers
  13. to any post that works Ockham's razor into the conversation.
  14. Before someone asks, here's the Linky
  15. I'm sort of sad that it didn't work out. At one time Trent seemed to have real promise. Not sure if it was the hits or that he was simply playing above his head, but I wish him well. I think he was a good guy that represented the team well.
  16. +1 I thought this was going to be a post quoting then-scout Nix extolling the virtues of Ryan Leaf. Quite glad to see it was the late John Butler.
  17. You're or your - two entirely different things. Sorry, just YOUR day for an English lesson.
  18. Steve Tasker was one of those cast-offs once.
  19. In this technological age wouldn't it be great if teams had things like IM, Fax and cell phones to work out trades? But I guess sending out the team plane to swap camp fodder is the green way to go. Sheesh...must be a slow day.
  20. Not that thwere would be anything wrong with that if you were.
  21. Here are Sporting News' odds on winning the Super Bowl. Indy and NO are the favorites at 9:1. The Bills are part of an unholy trinity bringing up the rear at 100:1. Sigh... Super Bowl Odds
