The GM can still scout year round. Business and organizations evolve or die. I don't think the new approach in the NFL is wrong or even backwards. This set up makes sense and in theory leafs to cohesiveness. I like the structure!

Agreed I would add Marcus Roberson as the 7th and injuries will probably decide which six make the roster.

I don't like bringing back recycled players. But, would be open to Gragg. The Marrone staff never gave him a chance. Rex's either or barely. He has skills as a good 2nd TE or a backup that could play #1 in case of injury. I think Logan is our #2 and the team (IMO) loves him otherwise we would have addressed TE at this point in the offseason already. I love Logan's upside!!!

I get where folks are coming from by not picking up the option....but, disagree. The stance above is more where I lie/lay. I think the McD would have hopefully talked and explained things to Sammy. But, not picking up the option, a suspect QB (that Sammy may thinks is costing him opportunity, success and a payday) and no playoffs may be souring Sammy (IMO our best player) too much. This could be a very costly error....for what?
