If Beane really wanted to bring the heat he could have said “you the same guys that wanted Josh Rosen, and the Sabres to tank, correct?” Polian was aggressive like that tho. Nothing wrong with it. But I appreciate him nonetheless. No need to be hostile. Media can comment however they like.

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
Big Blitz replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think numbers were inflated by playing some really bad QBs. I want to walk into a game playing an elite offense and see our defense completely frustrate them instead of the other way around. We do it against Tua. But his track record vs good teams is terrible. Maybe in 2025 it’s impossible to have an elite defense bc of the rules. It’s possible. But the Chiefs and Eagles had the two best defenses imo and they made the SB. And if there is anything I agree with regarding weapons it is - what if the league decides in 2025 - The Bills are not running on us. 7-8 guys in the box and man up those WRs and we look like we did against Baltimore and Houston early in the season. We are playing more great defenses this year than offenses. Those 2 games told Beane we needed a WR. So he can’t possibly feel like running back the same group hoping Keon and Kincaid make the jump and Palmer will replace Cooper is absolutely going to work. Or Samuel will be healthy. I hope this isn’t another miscalculation by the front office. So they should have a plan B - trade. But I’m excited about what this defense can be. -

Would we have been able to pay CB and Rousseau if we traded for DK? -

I fully expect the morning show tomorrow to pout about not landing that stud #1 WR in this God awful WR draft - as if trading for a Hopkins, Adams, Cooper, and others in season are just impossible. Everyone needs a reality check. This defense was BAD! Arizona week 1. Ravens week 4 Texans week 5. Dolphins week 9 Chiefs week 11 - Hunt was their RB 1 49ers before CMC got hurt was shredding us Rams week 14 Lions week 15 Ravens in playoffs - no Flowers Chiefs in AFCCG. The offense carried the team and the defense in the other games played God awful offenses or teams with garbage at QB. This years schedule is just as tough. Bengals, Chiefs, Eagles, Bucs, Texans, The Patriots and Panthers will be better. Steelers with Rodgers and those weapons who knows. A healthy Tua and the Dolphins aren’t push overs. I would have used all 10 freaking picks on defense. Again, it’s largely bc I believe they are in position to trade for one if need be like we did with Cooper - who we could just bring back. The defenses we face are elite too. A rookie WR in this class ain’t helping us vs Houston or the Ravens or even the Browns for that matter. -
AI can do these jobs. Think of the savings. If these jobs are even necessary. Private sector is at the mercy of technology changes constantly. Facing layoffs and unemployment. Federal and State employees face NO such concerns. Only the tax payers and the politicians they elect can reduce the federal or state workforce to enhance efficiency and save tax payer money and more important cut the bureaucracy; a bureaucracy that has devolved - per judges in the tank for the Democrat party - into some protected class. The Democrats are out of touch. Because almost all of them work for the State, Federal government, or heavily rely on subsidies or funding from it in order to have jobs.

Bills 5th Round Pick (#1) : Jordan Hancock - CB - The Ohio State
Big Blitz replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Confirmed just now by Beane - they’ll look at him at safety -
The last 2 WR Classes were very very good. We shot our shot on Keon. Let’s see it play out. The consensus is this group - and it makes sense since we just had 2 elite groups - was going to be down. But it was deep on defense and we may have filled every significant hole we had - in addition to Bishop and Carter last season. I just sorted thru the WRs after round 1 going back to 2020. Yea, I’m not going to complain at all. Plus, WR could be addressed in season if there is a need via trade. If we even need to do that. 2026 Draft - WR, RB, LB, S. If things don’t go well this season.

Lol. What it lacks is all pros on defense. But the QB is the MVP The Oline is one of the 3 best in the league anchored by 2 of its best OTs. The TEs are good. Knox an elite blocker. Shakir is a top 25 WR in the league. Coleman, Samuel, Palmer - talk to me if Coleman doesn’t make a leap. Cook is a top 10 RB and the RB room is great. The offense lacks only an elite WR. Doesn’t mean we had to fix that this weekend with the issues on defense. And that is speed and DL depth. The D line is upgraded - if the rookies are good we’re going to have nothing there to address more importantly pay for years. The LBs are good. The Secondary has a top 5 CB. A rookie that might be a future CB 1. Good depth at CB. And if Bishop, like Coleman, makes a leap (they were both sort of development guys) the defense will be elite.
