Anybody really think this problem is something new. It is just a mediocre coach trying to fit the players into HIS scheme. The great coach's down through the years have adapted to the strengths of their players. Belichick is always adapting. Don Shula didn't have Dan Marino run the same attack he had run before. Why? his team couldn't and he used what was the teams strength.
This problem is as old as the hills. Good coaches use a scheme that fits the players talents. Don Shula ground and pound; gets Dan Marino, prolific passing attack. Bill Belichick constantly adapting to what his players can do. Look at the great coaches always adapting to the players they have and putting them in positions to succeed. The mediocre coaches fit the players to their scheme. What does that say about REX?
Anybody else notice that our Dfront is always floating around and getting cute. It seems like we need to put our hands in the dirt and get off on the snap of the ball.
Everyone needs to take a step back and not overreact to EJ and blame him for poor defense and special teams too. He wasn't great. He made some bad throws. But, in all honesty he did show to be a decent backup. And, I'm a Tyrod guy.
Exactly, people will blame the QB for everything. EJ was not great, but the defense got outcoached and outplayed. The Special Teams are a colossal failure.
When (and they will) he gets targeted a bunch and puts up a 10 catch 175 yard game with 3 TDs some people will look back and realize he is right. Patience on Sammy's part has done nothing to improve the misuse of a stud.
I'm glad he and his agent have reached out the Bills. He should be getting at least 10 targets a game. i have felt this way for a year and a half now! This team will be more successful using him correctly. He said nothing wrong and has been patient and its not getting done by sitting back.
The 10-7 win over Denver in the AFC championship game in 1991 season is a possibility. Dennis Smith and Steve Atwater put on one of the most vicious assaults I've ever seen in a game. Thurman got the crap beat out of him!
What strikes me is how many people can't seem to enjoy the moment as a fan. It seems like so many are always looking ahead and projecting. I get people being pissed off after a bad performance, but get over it and enjoy the win and still being in contention. Stop looking at it and seeing only doom and gloom because you don't THINK the winning is sustainable or we aren't the 85 Bears.
