  1. You can't cover Kelce like you cover everyone else. The reason for this is because he doesn't run the exact routes called. He gets a call and then almost freelances in the secondary to find open spots in the zones. This is why you see him running open so much against teams. Teams and coaches do their best to study tape and chart the route he is supposed to be running. But so many times, he doesn't run the route as it is supposed to be run which screws up what guys are doing in the secondary. Quite honestly, this is why Stevie Johnson was as good as he was. He was an incredible route runner that improvised a ton. Kelce does a lot of the same things. It sounds odd, but you almost have to use a plaster coverage (what is taught for scramble drills). Not necessarily turn your back completely to the QB, but almost! You almost just have to faceguard him and hope you can get your head around in time if the ball is coming. Because if you keep your eyes on the QB, it's over because he is ready to stop and change direction at any point in time in the route regardless of the route he is supposed to be running. And because him and Mahomes have done it for so long, Mahomes knows what windows he is going to be looking for and where he is adjusting his route to, especially when plays are extended. Honestly, the best way to stop Kelce is to prevent Mahomes from moving in the pocket. Don't let him get to his left or right. Just keep him in there because then Kelce can't stray off script and make himself available as an outlet. It's easier said than done, though. Mahomes moves around in the pocket as good as anyone in the league. And, even though he is not the best athlete, he doesn't need to be. All he needs to do is create some sort of separation for himself and everything from there turns into backyard football. Our best bet will be to use spy and mirror concepts and as soon as the spy has an open opportunity to trigger on him, he has to go. Can't delay because if you hesitate on triggering at all, it's going to be too late. This is where having your young, athletic and fast LBs are supposed to make a difference. THey are supposed to be able to contain him and then speed up his process the second he commits to a direction in the pocket. We'll see if the defense is up for this soon enough.
  2. Played with the image a little while but, unfortunately, I wasn't able to drastically improve it. Got the crowd to clear up, but the players and jerseys are proving to be a challenge. The original image is just a bit too low quality to fix with the tools I have. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but maybe someone has access to even better software than I have.

  4. Yup......Couldn't believe he dropped it. Was ecstatic for us, obviously, but we have been on the wrong end of those moments so many times I've lost count and you can't help but feel bad for the guy. Obviously for his sake, I wish we would have just won the game by double digits so it wouldn't have mattered, but as we all know as Bills fans, sports are cruel in so many ways. It's one of the reasons I am having trouble focusing on the game this week. While I truly believe we are the better team, I have also thought this the last couple times we have played them in the Playoffs and we all know what happened. It's almost like no matter how much I try to get amped up for this game, it's like my head is telling me that I have to see it to believe it in terms of beating this team when it truly matters. Praying that happens Sunday night. GO BILLS!
  5. I have a pretty good AI upscaler on my laptop at home. If nobody else is able to get it in the meantime, I'll give it a shot later tonight when I get home and see what happens.
  6. Until the coaches prove they can win in crucial situations, I will never be confident in any game. I hate that I have to even say that, but in every postseason since this regime has been there, McDermott and the rest of the coaching staff do everything they can at times to prevent us from winning. They almost did it tonight. Lining up in shotgun from the 2 instead of just tush pushing it twice is just way overthinking things. Heck, the defense gave up a potential game tying TD drive on the last possession AGAIN in this game like they have done multiple times in the playoffs before. If it wasn't for that drop by Andrews, who knows what happens in this game. They still are making bad decisions. They just got away with it tonight for the first time in a very long time. So no......I am not feeling any more confident going into this game. Can we win? Of course. Do I feel great about it knowing what our coaches are capable of and knowing how much the refs are probably going to help the Chiefs? No. But, it's on us and we have every opportunity to right a lot of wrongs next week with a win.
  7. He made a couple nice plays tonight, but man....we really need an upgrade in his spot.
  8. I know the refs will be doing everything they can next week to help the Chiefs win, but the Bills should send in film as soon as the ref assignments are made, of every clean *****-trap block that has been called for a hold this season and just remind them that just because a player ends up face down on the ground with one of our lineman on top of them, it doesn't mean they held them. Getting sick and tired of our lineman getting called for clear, perfectly executed technique. While you're at it, send film of all the Chiefs RT illegal formations and false starts. Oh.....and a nice video package of all the crap Mahomes gets away with and the phantom penalties that are called in his favor. The refs should be studying all of these things before the game so they can look for them and get the right calls during the game. It might be a 6 hour long film session by now, but hey.....it's their own fault! That said, I fully expect 4-5 potential game changing penalties to go the Chiefs way.
  9. Not that I need the credit for it, but on the last drive for the Ravens, I placed a bet on them to win the game....... Had it locked up as soon as I put the money down. GO BILLS!!!!
  10. We made that a lot harder on ourselves than it should have been in that second half. I mean, the conservative play calling on offense and the systematic change on defense way too early in the 2nd half, had this game much closer than it should have been. This should have been a 2 score victory the way we controlled the game in the first half and it turns into a dropped 2 point conversion perhaps from OT. Andrews had big plays in this game, but man, he made 2 terrible mistakes that cost the Ravens. Make no mistake about it. We were the better team today but we were held back once again by coaching. Say what you want to about the Chiefs play this season, but they are home and they are fresher after a long time off. They are as healthy as they have been all season and also had an easier game on the body so to speak against a very pedestrian Houston team. They will be the favorites and we all know what a challenge the refs will be on top of things. Going to have to play our best football to win this game. Hopefully the coaches learn some things from this game. Can't ever take the foot off the gas. Dance with what got you to the lead in the first place. Oh....and one more thing. FREE JOSH ALLEN!!!! GO BILLS!
  11. I said it before the game..... Whether it be by 1 or 100..... Just win the freaking game. And we did.
  12. Douglas with his biggest play of the year!!!!!
  13. Here comes special teams to lose the game..... Every single game they blow something.
  14. I mean, I get it, but man.....coaches blew it again. Game should be over.
  15. Tush push there gets you 1 at least even if you don't get in. Just terrible coaching.
  16. 2 tush pushes if needed. FINISH THIS NOW......
  17. I have no idea why they aren't letting Allen take over this game. Him not even having rushing attempts in a game this big, and taking virtually no shots down the field is inexcusable. How in the world did we come into this game thinking that running the ball against the best run defense is the league was going to be the best way to win? I mean, I can understand wanting to run the ball to make them respect it, but it should have been used to set other things up. These coaches are really going out of their way to lose this game for the players as they always seem to do in the Playoffs.
  18. Finally..... Nothing fancy, but play action with Allen is money. Have to keep using it.
  19. These runs are killing me on first down. Push the ball down the field a bit. They are sitting on the run.
  20. When you play not to lose instead of doing what got you the 2 score lead in the first place will always be baffling to me. This coaching staff does it every single time.
  21. Bad coaching once again getting in our own way. Time for Josh to say "screw it" and take over this game.
