  1. Technically a 2 score game, but the point remains the same. We have to get a TD before the half here.
  2. This defense blows chunks. Can't tackle to save their lives.
  3. Whelp...... Some days are just not your day....
  4. Coleman doesn't need to see the field again. We are terrible at WR, but he is the dirt worst. Waste of a player out there. I'd rather have Cook or Johnson out there running routes that Coleman.
  5. What the heck is Coleman doing there? Just jogging (well, I guess that's full speed for him) out there. Andre Reed is there. Give the man a jersey and I guarantee you he's better than Coleman.
  6. We're in trouble.... This defense is lost and undermanned. They aren't going to be able to get many stops today. I'd say it's time to unleash the offense, but we all know how bad our WRs are and we don't have guys that can make that sort of big play.
  7. Too cute.....just push it or run it with Cook. They saw before the TO that Brady wanted to throw it. Brady just isn't good at situational football.
  8. As I said, should have gone for it on 4th down. That was an awful defensive effort. Who was calling plays on that drive? Just brutal. It's time to stop messing around. All gas, no brakes.....
  9. Whelp.....guess we should have gone for it on 4th and a foot.
  10. This drive is ticking me off. There's holding everywhere!!!
  11. Walker getting held, but refs don't care.
  12. Great....more injuries. Hopefully he just banged knees with a guy and it's just a bruise, but we haven't been overly lucky with injuries.
  13. I mean, I get it. I do. But there is no reason to believe they would stop you there. And even if they did, I am actually getting to the point where I trust the defense to hold them to 3. But whatever. Just get a 3 and out and go get a TD.
  14. Dude.....it's a foot against a bad team. Should have gone for it.
  15. BISHOP!!!!! The kid is growing up right in front of us.
  16. Don't think I have ever seen a penalty and a TO taken before the 1st snap of the game before..... BISHOP!!!!!
  17. Stay healthy. (PLEASE!!!!!!!) Play hard. Play smart. WIN! GO BILLS!!!!
  18. Normally, I'd just say feed Cook in a game like today, but with him not at 100% and Miami as banged up as they are, there is no reason this shouldn't be a pass first script, build a big lead, and have guys sitting by the 4th quarter. If Coleman can't get open today, you may as well call up Davis as soon as possible and put Coleman on the bench. This should be the kind of day he should at least show some signs of being able to get open and make plays. If his is blanketed again, we seriously need to find a different option. I'm no Gabe fan either, but he has proven more in this league than Coleman has to this point. But hey......he's got a chance to break out. Let's see what happens.
  19. Depends on the length and intensity of the workout. If he was out there for quite a while and working out close to 100% he definitely isn't playing. However, if it was just a for a few minutes with some light stretching and jogging, there may be a chance he was testing things out and getting cleared to play. But I don't know how long he was out there and what he was doing.
  20. The difference was opportunities. Moulds barely saw the field the first 2 year he was here. Coleman, outside of when he was injured, has hardly left the field. He's had ample time time show improvement, but hasn't yet. And when you watch him, you just don't see greatness. Moulds would make the most of his limited time. Heck, he was an amazing kick returner early in his career when that was pretty much the only time he saw the field. Attitude held Moulds back early. Very immature. But the talent was always obvious.
  21. Moulds, while raw coming out, had undeniable physical skills. He could run. Played with an attitude. You didn't see it much his first couple years because I don't think the attitude was there, but as soon as he took it seriously, there was going to be no stopping him. And there wasn't. In my opinion, the best WR we have ever had. I am as big a fan of Reed as anyone, but Moulds was a different cat because he could beat you any way he wanted. He was fast enough to beat you deep. He was super strong and physical so he would bully you to death. He was a thick, extremely strong dude with a big frame that could box you out. And on top of all that, he had elite athleticism where he could go up over the top of you on 1 play and then come back, run past you and make an incredible 1 handed catch on the next play. He ran every route that you would want. Deadly on slants, comebacks, over the middle, and deep. He'd run over you or through you. Players hated tackling him because of how big and strong he was. Oh, and by the way......on any play he wanted to, he could route you up and put you in a blender, catch a short pass and take it to the house while shrugging off tackling attempts. That dude was a dog. An alpha who knew he was one of the best. He should be in the HOF, but because of there terrible QB play he had here for most of his career, didn't get to the numbers he could have. If he played in today's league, he would be just as unstoppable now as he was then because of the athlete he was. Keon doesn't have these same physical gifts. Outside of being tall and being able to jump, he is not talent Moulds was. Keon plays small, has terrible footwork, and is slow. Now, some WRs can make up for the lack of foot speed by playing bully ball, but Keon doesn't do that. He's not strong enough and doesn't have that killer attitude you need. He isn't going to run by anyone. He isn't going to break anyone's ankles off the line. He is not going to run through guys. What he will do is make the occasional high pointed catch, but even at his size, he isn't in the upper echelon of guys in the league that can do that either. He's got some talent. He will be in the league a long time. But he will never be a true WR1, and probably not even a WR2, because of a lot of different factors. But yeah.....if you are ever bored and never really watched Moulds play, man.....fire up some YouTube highlights of that guy. He was something else.
  22. While I don't disagree that there is still some meat on the bone with the WRs we have as shown in this clip, that doesn't change the overall need to add a stud to the WR corps. If you look at enough tape, there are plays like this that come up where a WR does come wide open and Allen doesn't throw them the ball. But there are also more plays on tape with the WRs being completely suffocated with no breathing room. The problem is, there are so many of the plays where the WRs are completely covered, that Allen is having a tough time trusting that the WRs ever come open and he rushes his reads to make sure he gets to the TEs because he has more confidence in the group. It's about trust and who's earned it and this WR group just hasn't been trustworthy enough to get open on a regular basis for Allen and therefore there will be these opportunities once in a great while that are missed. But that's just a small part of the bigger picture. The thing is, we can win games with the WRs we have. That's been proven. You can get away with beating any NFL team during the regular season with the WRs we have. The problem that you are going to run into is what happens come January and you are facing the best teams with the best defenses with a Championship on the line. We all know the preparation, the focus, the attention to detail, the physicality, the game plan, etc. are all ratcheted up a notch and that's where inferior personnel will be exposed. The margins are so slim in the Playoffs. So, the question becomes when it's 4th and 4 with the game on the line in the Playoffs, who is Allen going to trust to get open off the line? It isn't going to be the WRs we have as of this moment. So, that's why there is such a call to get a DUDE on this team again. When Diggs was here, especially the first couple years, Allen trusted him to make a play when it mattered and, for the most part, they connected. Now, on the back part of his time here, I think that trust faded a bit after Diggs started to drop the ball or whatever, but when the connection was in its prime, it was snap, drop back, fire to Diggs in this big situations. We just don't have that guy now that Allen trusts. Can Palmer become that guy once he's back by the end of the year? Maybe. But that connection hasn't been there all year until the first part of the Falcons game where he got hurt. We'll have to see if they were onto something or if it was just a fluke when he's back. But yeah.....we need our STUD that Allen can count on in pressure situations with the game on the line. However, with the limited cap space we have, and teams unwilling to part with those types of guys, our best bet is to find that guy, on a cost controlled contract, in the draft. But Beane hasn't shown the ability to identify that guy in the draft yet. He literally drafted Coleman, a slow plodding WR that couldn't separate in college to be that guy at the top of the 2nd round. Couldn't get open in college. Can't get open in the NFL with consistency. Allen has tried forcing him the ball to get him going and it hasn't worked. His targets have seen a decline in recent weeks because of it and the fact Allen can't trust him in those key situations. It's time to take some premium assets and invest them on great prospects and upgrade the room with some top talent on cost controlled contracts. But Beane needs to admit he was wrong about the group he put together and be willing to change it all while being much better in identifying top WR talent. We'll see what happens in the off season with that. In the meantime, we have to hope Allen and one of the WRs on the current roster find some sort of chemistry and trust before the Playoffs start.
  23. Nope.....bad idea. He just showed up and is already looking like he has the potential to be CB1 sooner rather than later. I am good with focusing his attention there. That said, I understand what you are saying and why you are saying it. But, that's on Beane to actually find a truly explosive WR that can strike fear into defenses. We don't have anything remotely close to that, but Hairston isn't going to be that guy. However, I am not opposed to having 1 or 2 plays in the playbook on offense for him in a break glass in case of emergency got to have it situation. Something that wouldn't be on tape that no team has seen before. He is super explosive and if you can design a couple of crazy plays to get him the ball in space that the other team can't game plan for, I am open to that. But no.....not a few plays every week in place of Coleman. I am talking 4th and 2 to ice the AFC Championship or Super Bowl or something where the defense sees him come on the field and has no clue what he is going to do.
