  1. But the other ones you cite (or is it site?), I've been guilty of because your brain because they are pronounced the same way and my brain just seems to type it out (well, not the too vs. to, but the many versions of they're)........But, lose and loose are two different pronunciations, as well as meanings.
  2. Did half the population spell lose "loose" before the Internet and I just didn't know it?
  3. Byrd and Graham will have their own "Plantar Fascia Bowl"
  4. Their two losses are to top five teams - that is so impressive!
  5. I don't think they've ever been this good.............I wonder if they were back with John Stofa and Gerry Philbin?
  6. Well, at least your consistent. Here's what you said earlier in the thread: I watched the Totti clip... No offense, it is like watching a kicker kick field goals. Yeah, they are scores and what not... "Bending it like Beckham"... Sure it takes skills, but, I really didn't find it amazing. Again, like watching a kicker score FG's from 30 yards out. The net is so damn big and the field too. To each their own I guess.
  7. It's still ridiculous. The added time is almost always 3 minutes no matter what happened during the half. As I've said before, probably the biggest problem with the sport is that except for you and AJ, most everybody involved with the sport is a dbag! Bill Simmons had the funniest mailbag give and take about that issue!
  8. I know! That really is in my top 5 of all time for sitcoms. I liked it better than MTM Show.
  9. As they all run in the corner and jump in a pile, and the clock just keeps on running. Friggin ridiculous.
  10. Aren't those even more reasons why it's easier to miss the net in hockey than in soccer??
  11. Because it's ridiculous! And, the point was about shooting it/kicking it wide and high.
  12. In hockey, the net isn't 80 yards wide and 20 feet tall.
  13. I guess so. Sounds very strange.
  14. This is actually the best idea I've heard (other than just keeping the name).
  15. We used whatever brand they were called probably ten years ago. It resulted in a costly visit by the plumber, who said NEVER to use them again.
  16. He was signed by the Bills in 1991. Had Al Gore invented TBD already by then?
  17. I was surprised by that, too.
  18. Yeah, I have to agree with both of you. It's better that he died now, before he killed any more innocent people.............The laws on DUI are insane. You would think killing 3 kids would get you about 20 years. The juror who got lauded for writing a good summary in the Buffalo News of why the jury in the Corasanti case acquitted him - got busted himself for DUI in April this year..............Then, the other day the judge didn't convict him of a misdemeanor but just of a violation. He got some minor fine and 90 days without his license.............So, what did he do - he went out and celebrated - and got busted for DUI that night! Just hours after getting the slap on the wrist..........And, now he can't be charged with felony DUI, because the friggin judge only gave him a violation. Otherwise, the 2nd one would be a felony.
  19. Even after killing 3 kids, he still kept getting DWIs - 6 of them!. Wow - what a mess.............I was really surprised when the Bills brought him in. I don't remember if he ever actually played.
  20. Ask him about the affairs with the players' wives, too!
  21. Did anybody else ever hear the rumor that Lamonica was traded because he was having an affair with at least one of the coach's wives?................This article does nothing to make me think that isn't true. The trade came totally out of the blue, after he was told he was going to be starting and he was all pumped up for the season. I had always thought that he probably asked for the trade so that he could finally start. Now I might have to believe the rumor!
  22. Great article. One note - the Bills did not play in the 1963 championship game.
  23. If I were going to The Netherlands, I'd go watch a real sport - field hockey:
  24. This is exactly what I thought. Soccer - the fastest growing sport for 30 years in a row. There is no way that baseball scores are about the same as soccer scores. Last night was 8-1. Would that ever happen at top level soccer? I will have a rooting interest - I'll be rooting for Scotland! (I actually attended a college soccer game yesterday to watch my niece play. Even with a rooting interest, it was not very exciting - you can make a million nice moves, etc. and still be 100 feet away from the net)
