Haha - so funny that we had the exact same experience! That game was miserable! I never want to leave games, but there was just no point, and it was so depressing with almost every seat in the stadium empty. Thanks for the reminder that it was '84. Those two 2-14 seasons blend together for me!

It was the Ronnie Harmon playoff game. I swear I was at a game in 1985 when it was poring rain and there could not have been more than 2000 people there in the fourth quarter. I wanted to leave but my father and friend were drinking beer and wanted to keep doing that!

This seems to be the talking point for the three of you that somehow think what Byrd is doing is morally right. What would you ever expect to hear from within the organization on this?

What does that have to do with anything? Everybody is going to either outplay or underplay their original contract. Was he underpaid for a 2nd round safety on that contract?

I was on Byrd's side at the beginning. I think that based on timing, he should be the top paid safety and couldn't understand why the Bills didn't pay him. I think he's that good..........Somebody else will then beat out his contract next year. However, everything he has done and said since he signed the tender has made me turn against him and pretty much hate his guts...........I also realized why the Bills didn't want to give him a long term contract. He has two chronic injuries!
