  1. Donna Reed was gorgeous and perfect in this.
  2. I think you're on the same side on this.
  3. So was I. That's what seems to happen with drunk drivers. The driver they hit gets killed and the drunk driver is "treated and released."
  4. Ha - thanks. Mom's talking proud!
  5. Actually last night. Which I'm really glad to hear about the fallee.
  6. Where's the twerker?
  7. My freshman year of college - Fall of 1980, we were asked to write an essay in English class about our favorite place, other than our home............It took about 2 seconds for me to think "The Aud!".............I came across that essay a few years ago - and thought Damn, I loved that place!
  8. Hey, at least he timed it good with our new Trayvon II thread.
  9. We did a road trip to see Springsteen for two shows in a row at Giants Stadium. My friend got kicked out of the first show and banned for life..............So, we just went to the second show, no problems! (Now that I think of it - I wonder if his ban for life is over, since they now have a new stadium??)
  10. News Alert George Zimmerman arrested after deputies respond to disturbance call at house George Zimmerman was arrested Monday afternoon after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a house in Apopka, Fla., about 15 miles northwest of Orlando, according to a statement from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. The statement provided few other details, and it was not immediately known what charges he faced. The former neighborhood watch volunteer was acquitted earlier this year of all charges in the fatal shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. 11. Exactly. For once, I'm all for suing and for Cellino and Barnes
  12. After further review, your call stands. @Deadspin) Jeff Savidge @JeffSavidge Follow @SalSports @Deadspin he landed 5 feet from me. Right across the row. He acted like nothing happened while the guy he fell on was hurt bad.
  13. This was "Get Smart" week in Buffalo. The Sabres fire Darcy/Rolsten and hire Lalalafontaine and Ted Nolan............The Bills figure out that the quarterback sneak is a very effective play!
  14. Sabres way outshot the Leafs Saturday night, but got the loss. I didn't see anything. Enroth must have been way off. 4 goals in only 22 shots. But, that might have been the first game all year we have outshot the opponent!
  15. And, those with a ton of talent.
  16. So would not having a quarterback on the roster.
  17. Do you have the stats for going for it on fourth for teams that suck? You're not playing cards.
  18. Great post. I'd like to see this coach take an inferior team in terms of talent and win with this philosophy. There is so much truth to Mark Twain's "Lies, damned lies and statistics" quote.........Here, they don't take into account the teams that suck and therefore opt not to go for it on 4th..........And, somebody else made the point about surprise onside kicks vs. "known" ones. I don't have any stats on this, but it seems to me that teams get stopped more on 4th and short than they used to. To my thinking, it was almost automatic - quarterback sneak or the fullback could almost always pick it up.............Now you have throws like that horrible decision to have Tuel throw against the Chiefs.
  19. BREAKING NEWS Friday, November 15, 2013 11:48 AM EST Homeowner Charged in Detroit-Area Shooting That Stirred Racial Tension A Dearborn Heights, Mich., homeowner was charged Friday with second-degree murder, manslaughter and felony firearms possession in the death of Renisha Marie McBride, a 19-year-old woman who was shot in the face as she stood on the man’s porch in the middle of the night nearly two weeks ago. The case had stirred racial tensions in Detroit, a mostly black city, and its whiter suburbs, like Dearborn Heights, just across the city line. It is still unclear precisely what happened in the early morning hours of Nov. 2, when Ms. McBride crashed her car and hours later ended up on the doorstep of the defendant, who was identified as Theodore Wafer, 54, who is white. Asked if race was an issue, the Wayne County prosecutor, Kym L. Worthy, at a news conference Friday morning, said, “Race is not relevant.” READ MORE » http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/16/us/michigan-homeowner-charged-in-renisha-mcbrides-death.html?emc=edit_na_20131115
  20. In the 60s, Rochester got the games. I know my father, my grandmother and great uncle (the latter two were in their 60s and weren't even born in this country) rented a motel room in Rochester and went there to watch the AFL championship game. That was when they didn't show the game even when they WERE sold out.
  21. I wasn't there, but I'm guessing he got drunk, then picked up the girl. Just want to keep the timeline correct here.
  22. Haha - I kept asking myself that yesterday when I'd take a short break from work and it would hit me again.
