  1. In Toronto, they get a Free Ride!
  2. Yeah, I'll get right on that..........It was illegal contact. I would think you'd have to actually contact somebody for it to be in the realm of illegal contact.
  3. It got overshadowed, but it was a very big call....And, it was so horrible that I really would like an explanation. I don't need one on Robey.
  4. Thanks!
  5. Doesn't the league come out and say when they've totally blown a call? I would have liked that.
  6. The Kinks are so great!
  7. "I'm not here to talk about the past"
  8. Is this draw totally random or do they pick one of a group or the strongest teams, one out of the next strongest, etc.?
  9. Yup, Hank's grandson.
  10. Best song I've heard since Friday
  11. I like this (I had been thinking how can the same fans who threw beer bottles at the Sabres players on Friday night be expected to cheer for the Bills on Sunday afternoon?): What few people outside of Toronto and Buffalo know is this. The two cities’ residents pretty much despise one another. Buffalo sees itself as Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band — and Toronto as Boy George and Culture Club. Toronto sees itself as a world-class, five-star restaurant and Buffalo as a soon-to-be shut-down greasy spoon. Both look down on the other. The dislike is palpable, and seared into the rivalry between each city’s NHL teams — Buffalo’s Sabres and Toronto’s Maple Leafs — and their fans.
  12. I have no idea. I'm going by what was said above.
  13. I wish unhappiness on a girl who has dumped me. I'm just a bad person.
  14. If they are sticking with that story, that was the worst call of all time.
  15. A lot - and here's the percent of Southern Ontarians who are Bills season ticket holders because of the Toronto series: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7I7kbAQU-xs
  16. They don't say Toronto. They say Ontario. Could be Fort Erie. I know the people who sit in front of us come all the way from Kingston. I know the guy next to my friend's Sabres tickets is from Toronto, but he does business all week in Buffalo..........However, I don't think Canadians buy 20% of season tickets, but I bet for a lot of games, they make up 20% of the place. I think they come down more on a game by game basis. (I know Russ is talking about seasons, but my point is Canadians come to Buffalo for hockey, shopping, etc in big numbers)
  17. Might be for me, too. It was a great bar. Probably 2nd best to Cassidy's in my all time favorites...........You heard Bruce there because the DJ was a Bruce fanatic that I know. Monday nights!
  18. I keep hearing Russ say this, but I wonder if they survey these people and see if they are sth because of the series. I know the Canadians who sit near me can't stand the Toronto series. I bet 20% of Sabres ticket buyers are from Canada. And, we don't have to give our home games to them.
  19. How about you win, and then you have to watch your back everytime the ahole is in the same bar as you?
  20. Finally, something that makes some sense. Much like the death at the Bills game a year ago, the guy wandered off mysteriously, and was said not to be drunk by the person with him. I'm surprised I haven't had one of these trance like things happen to me at a Bills game. "Wait, I've seen this over and over. Must leave."
  21. So here is the first response in that article. So this is common knowledge?: pooflingingmonkey says: Dec 4, 2013 9:35 AM With the first pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Toronto Bills select… It’s common knowledge among league circles that a deal is already in place to sell the Bills to Toronto upon Ralph Wilson’s death.
  22. Not sure if it was a blackout game. I know the Steelers game two weeks before was on TV because I didn't go to that one and was home for Thanksgiving break. The poster looked like this, but was for the Aud:
  23. Yup, the Aud on 12/4/80. If you went to the Brick Bar, they had a huge poster for that show up for decades (still might) and one for a Blondie concert - behind the bar. I was 18 myself. Freshman year in college - thank you, Fr. Bob, for letting me take my test on Thursday so I could go to the concert and not have to be back on Friday! Did you stay after the game until the Bills came back out?
  24. What is it that they do?
  25. I have to admit, I don't love the song. It is more just the nostalgia and how much fun it is in concert.............But, it sure doesn't rank with Last Christmas, Wonderful Christmas Time, and other abominations.
