I found that kind of baffling at the time. To declare within 3 weeks that it's all gone, and nothing more needs to be done. I know it's been a long time and things have changed, but the first cancer my mother survived was ovarian. They caught it early - this was 1978. But, they still did a course of "preventative" radiation, in case they missed anything.

I posted this on the Jim Kelly thread and didn't realize there was another one now. Does anybody know where he is right now in the treatment?: I don't understand what has happened and is going to happen with Jimbo. Totally agreed. But, my mother's breast cancer looked really bad in 2000. Bad news after bad news. She ended up living until 2012 and died of something totally unrelated. I had read that - seems to be showing up a lot on Facebook. Very cool story. But, that sentence that you quoted has been what has been on my mind since I read it. With all he's going through, he looks pretty good. Prime time! I thought they would only do that if it was SU-OSU, but they did it anyway.

When I went to SU for my MBA, I had an assistantship. It was with the independent study degree program. So, these people came in at the beginning of the semester (a week before ours started), took final exams, and then did a week of classes for the upcoming semester and studied at home. I had to proctor an exam on the day of the Bills-Browns playoff game. I had a small TV and no sound on..........The class was silent obviously, and a few times I squirmed........When Harmon dropped the ball, I never had to stifle myself like that. I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs and somehow kept it in.............Then, I said !@#$ it, cheat if you want, I had to go take a walk and yell!

Are colleges cool with profs banging students? BFID never seems to post anything on that.

I never watch the weather channel. How would this tie in with weather? Is that like Music Television (MTV) having nothing to do with music?

I was going to say he doesn't know much about cancer, but figured it might be better to ignore...........Cancer is an umbrella for hundreds, or thousands, of different diseases. You aren't ever going to have a "cure for cancer." So many different strains, mutations, etc. And, if a drug company ever did find this magical "cure for cancer" - you don't think they'll bypass their billions and instead make trillions?!?

Jeez. I'm on such a high from the Bonnies big win that I got to the Buff News site to read more, and there's the story about Jim to totally deflate me. Thoughts and prayers to all the Kellys!
