  1. The ones that I watch with, the ones who I have had seasons with for 29 years, were at the game! I was the one who was sick, not them.
  2. This just dawned on me and I was going to type it after reading the last 7 pages, and then you posted it right at the end. I've been thinking for years - why doesn't he announce a plan to keep the Bills in Buffalo upon his demise, and feel the incredible love all of WNY and beyond would have for him - while he was alive???............And, it hit me now - then he would lose all leverage while he was alive. If everybody got too comfortable, govt money would not flow too freely, fans wouldn't feel as much pressure to buy tickets, etc. When you're not the Cowboys, Giants, etc., leverage is one of the big things you have, and like CBF said, he was a very smart businessman. Pretty sure they go with what the deceased plan was - and I'm sure Ralph crossed all his ts and dotted all his Is
  3. I'm sure this was covered a million times, but why is it only a one year contract?
  4. GR did a good job when I was listening today, but Schoop still bugged me that he had to call him "Wilson" and not Ralph or Mr. Wilson like everybody was. When he was alive, he wanted to not give him that respect of calling him Mr. Wilson, so I guess he didn't want to do it when he had died either.
  5. That's exactly right. I didn't go to a game because I was sick or something this season, and I'm watching it on TV and the commercials are driving me nuts..........I was thinking at the stadiums my friends are and I are cracking jokes and just having a good time during all the timeouts. Watching by yourself is brutal.
  6. Nice...........And, from the grave then he will define his legacy ..........Because I totally believe this to be true.
  7. As executor, Littman gets more money, the bigger the estate. That scares me. I hope he's not as money hungry for himself - and he was more looking out for Ralph all these years.
  8. Same here. I've had a couple of super brief encounters with Jimbo, but it's all that's on my mind..........And, then the day that we've been dreading for years comes.
  9. I didn't like this in the Gaughan article: Long-time Bills treasurer Jeffrey C. Littmann is one of the executors of Wilson's estate, and he will be part of the decision-making team in charge of overseeing the sale of the team. Somebody give Ed a ring please.
  10. Does your friend have any inside knowledge?
  11. No ****. People here take themselves and this board so friggin serious. It's not like we're at the wake asking this question. It's the most important question maybe in the history of Buffalo. How do you not ask it. There is already an RIP thread. If we knew the plan, nobody would be asking. We'd simply be mourning.
  12. Jill says surgery is tentatively planned for Thursday:
  13. The concussion thing is what is going to knock the NFL off it's pedestal. But, I have to say that the Thursday night games just are too much for me. One of the reasons that NFL got so popular was because less is more.
  14. That story does not sound too good at all...........He looked good in the pics from Friday with Bruce, etc. But, Saturday's pic from Erin with her and him watching the SU game in the hospital, he looked weaker and in pain. #prayersforJK
  15. It seems like when the parents are together, even if not married, the kid gets the father's name. Usually.
  16. Thanks for clearing that up. I don't know why a reporter isn't writing a story with the known facts, either. Everything we are getting seems to be a tweet here, and a blog post there, etc.
  17. I don't follow SU all that much, because I'm too busy following my Bonnies (my undergrad trumps my grad school). But, is that white guy named something like Tony McIntyre really Tyler Ennis' father? Why would he have a different last name? He's got to be his step father, isn't he?
  18. Yeah, I emailed my sister after the above discussion, and her test came back negative, so great news. She doesn't have the gene............She said I'm still supposed to go, which I have replied Why?!?
  19. That's actually a good reminder for me of how I thought Fergy was in grave trouble. I've heard him on the radio sometime in the last 6 months and he sounds very strong and healthy.
  20. No doubt that they are making great progress. Do you know that it hasn't spread to the lymph nodes? I'm not really sure what is going on. He seems to be in the hospital for the third time this week, but I'm not sure what treatments he's getting.
  21. He's the past, present and future of this community.
  22. Huh is what I said. I don't remember the answer! And, yeah - my mother had 9 lives for sure. Beat those two, benign brain tumors, been on life support and come through, all kinds of crazy stuff.............Part of me still thinks she's coming back again!
  23. My sister went last week or so for that genetic testing, because my mother had ovarian in 1978 and breast in 2000. She died in 2012 from neither. She said somehow I'm supposed to go, too! They still have to give her results.
  24. I thought it was really cool to go into the Big Tree after the Bills beat the Titans on opening Sunday night in 2000 - and Jimbo was bartending. What other city would you have your HOF QB bartending, just for kicks?!? Some drunk ahole started saying stuff like "You couldn't win the big one, etc" and Kelly just said to us "this guy's just looking for a million dollar punch" and the bouncers escorted him out.
