  1. They beat the Jags by 3 points and should have lost. They only squeezed past the Jets the first time. No. I don't think it is a given they win 3 of those games. Possible, sure. Probable? I don't know. They were hardly a trustworthy team this year.
  2. Creed's is deserved. He has had another outstanding year. Thuney I think you can quibble with a bit more. I'd have gone Landon Dickerson over him, but he was third and Thuney didn't give up a sack all year so it is hardly a scandal.
  3. No you need more than good owners. But they are often a starting point. Good organisations have a clear strategy, clear lines of authority and a clear sense of the people that fit their ethos. The thing that makes me confident the Jets don't know what they are doing in this search is they are bringing in all different types of people for both jobs. If you haven't got a person specification in mind how do you know when you find the rght guy beyond gut feeling?
  4. Their problem against the Titans was they couldn't stop them. Is Tua playing defensive tackle?
  5. The reasons I think it could be different in a re-match. I think Babich's adjustment after that opening play Henry touchdown run was part of what cost us the game. He went to a 43 base for the next two drives and Todd Monken just ran Justice Hill out matched him up on Nicholas Morrow and screen and swing passed his way down the field. I think a) Babich will learn from that and b) if you run base with Milano, Bernard and Williams it is a different deal than having Morrow out there. On offense having Cooper changes that game. Roquan Smith said openly that they let the Bills have the outside and stacked the middle of the field because they thought there was no legitimate outside threat. I think if they did that now Cooper would have 9 catches for 120 or something. That isn't to say the Bills definitely beat the Ravens or it isn't a very tough game. But they are my reasons for thinking it would at least be competitive and the outcome may be different.
  6. I don't think they'd have won 11 in 2024 even with Tua healthy.
  7. Yea I do feel awareness plays in. Certainly for smaller market teams like the Bills. Poyer was all pro standard for like 3 years before he got the recognition. Milano similar tbh. They both got recognition in their final high level season.
  8. Yea he is the one Bill I think can feel slighted. I don't have a ton of complaints with Sewell and Johnson. They are both studs and deserving. They sucked up all the 1st place votes between the two of them. But Spencer unfortunate to get zero votes.
  9. I don't see them as a top tier team. They squeaked past Green Bay twice but the only other playoff team they beat was Houston. They are solid but they are not in that top tier.
  10. I thought he struggled early but got better and better. By the end of the year he was better than most IMO. But if he wants to properly invest in running the Raiders he can't continue. It is a conflict of interests.
  11. I have been saying this. I know every team that needs a HC has issues. But this year every single vacancy has a major drawback. One of the worst markets to jump into that I can remember.
  12. I don't think he is a CB2. He might have been at the start of the year but he has become the guy that teams are trying to stay away from.
  13. Benford did get votes for all pro. Him and Dion were basically the only guys other than Josh that did.
  14. I have just been back to 2016. Can't find a year where the difference in votes between MVP and 1st team all pro is more than 6. 6 moving direct from Lamar to Josh would result in co-MVPs.
  15. And interestingly last year's 1 for Josh voted for Lamar this time.
  16. Yea I don't see it that way either. I don't think Jackson getting it is a joke. He had an incredible year. But I think what Josh did this year under expectations of a step back and with an under talented receiving corps was going to get the recognition it deserved. I think there is a chance the MVP vote is tighter than the all pro. But I fear it will still be in Lamar's favour.
  17. Dion was 3rd in left tackle voting. And a pretty strong third but Wirfs and Mailata were a shoe-in for 1st and 2nd team. Benford was 7th among corners with some first team votes. Otherwise only Taron Johnson and Reid Ferguson got any votes at all among Bills. Bit surprised Spencer Brown didn't get any love at all but Sewell and Lane Johnson hoovered up almost all the right tackle votes between them.
  18. Okay for the first time I think Josh might not win MVP.
  19. Has had surgery again. Likely to miss the 2025 season. Karma definitely got the Browns on that deal.
  20. Yea I predicted a Dolphins fall back in 2024 too, and as you say it isn't as simple as "Tua injury" because they were only 6-5 with him. They lost their best defensive player last year, and a solid interior offensive lineman in Hunt. They are almost certain to lose Jevon Holland this year too (would love him as a Bill btw). That is three of their best drafted players in the last half dozen years in order to keep paying older, expensive, guns for hire in Hill, Ramsey and Armstead.... all of whom have been elite in their pomp but none of whom remain in that tier IMO. That is just bad roster building.
  21. As @Einstein's Dog pointed out above they were the #6 seed in 2023. I don't really disagree re. the general thrust, but they would have 1 playoff appearance even under the old system.
  22. Ha likewise. Although I'm blaming Tottenham S***Spur for some of it.
  23. An Ireland game is still to be confirmed though. The London games, Berlin game and Madrid game are in the calendar for 2025. I'd love a 6th European game and I'd love for the Bills to play in one of them, but I suspect Ireland might have to wait a year. If the Bills do get a trip to Dublin though I recommend as many of you as possible go. It is a great city to visit.
  24. The AFC was the weaker conference this year, no doubt. Wasn't disputing that. What I was disputing was that the narrative going in was about the AFC as a whole being better. I think it was more that the top of the AFC was better and I think that holds. The Bills definitely benefitted this year from the AFC East sucking. They almost went 6-0 despite trying to lose to the Patriots. Although the Texans were the team that benefitted the most from a sucky division IMO. 5-1 in division. 5-6 against everyone else.
