Tyler Dunne: "Dennison Stays and Tyrod Goes"
PolishDave replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In regards to the deep ball, Dennison historically doesn't like to throw deep. It was mentioned after he was hired as OC. The percentage of times his offenses throw deep are very low. The hope was that he would change his tendency and see that extending plays to go deep is exactly the thing that this QB and team was good at doing. So you can add that to the stack of Dennison's faults. -
You also need to pay attention to how much your electricity costs. If you try to mine cryptocurrency with computer equipment that is insufficient in terms of processing power per watt of electricity used, then you can actually spend more in electricity than you get paid by mining. If you are going to mine with a computer or a video card, the computers' CPU must be nearly the latest greatest to be worthwhile at all. And the video card would typically needs to be very powerful if you are going to use that. If you are using something like an Intel Core I5 or I7 running at 3.5 and 4.0 Ghz, you are likely not going to earn even a dollar a day. If you are using a super high end video card - like an Nvidia GTX 1080 or something thereabouts - you can earn a few dollars per day. The electricity to run that card will cost you 50 cents per day. And if you go look at the costs of a decent GTX 1080 card, you will see that right now they cost upwards of $700 just for that card. If you mine with a weaker card that uses last years' technology - you can get a cheaper one - say around $100 - but that card will earn less than a buck per day and have an electricity cost of say 20 cents per day or so. And you still need the other hardware to go with it - like a computer with a good power supply. This is why guys build mining rigs that have a dozen video cards running in them . But even one of those rigs can easily run you into several thousand dollars if you are going to use high end video cards and a powerful trustworthy power supply. And running high end video cards 24/7 tends to shorten their life substantially. They already run hot as it is.

Bills have a winning record though. Is it realistic to think that a first year head coach is going to fire his offensive coordinator when the team hovering around .500 or better? I wouldn't mind they doing it. I just don't think it is a realistic possibility. Extremely unlikely I would think. Wouldn't that make it very hard to get other coaches to work with/for you when you can a coordinator in that situation?

The states aren't coining money. It is an international currency - unregulated - that exists simply because enough people agree that they want it to exist and agree to value it enough to accept it as a medium of exchange. And those people are anonymous. Only time they aren't is when two people make a transaction. Then they may or may not know who the other person is depending on the nature of the transaction.
-
My question is who thinks that the USA and all other major countries are not going to outlaw all of the popular and unregulated cryptocurrencies? Won't they be forced to? And what is that going to do to the value of those cryptos? And within what time frame are these countries going to actually outlaw them? It's not like that though. That is a bad analogy. It is simply a form of currency that is in the midst of a parabolic rise in value. It can go up or down in value just like the US dollar. Right now Bitcoin is in a parabolic rise which is why it has so much publicity lately.

Well, they will either have to move on from Dennison or from Taylor because Dennison is proving he doesn't know how to call/design an offense with Tyrod at quarterback. Does anyone think they would rather move on from Dennison than Tyrod? Whether or not it is the right call, they will move on from Taylor and sink or swim with a different quarterback - likely a drafted one. Roman/Lynn already provided the blueprint for a running attack with a QB like Taylor and two decent running backs. If the offensive line was upgraded in pass protection enough and with minor tweaks to the passing game, this could have been a very dominant offense. They aren't going there though and everyone knows it.

So what you're saying is that you are still "concerned".

Love your optimism OJ!

Official fire Rick Dennison thread
PolishDave replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How do you explain the massive drop off in offensive production from the last couple years to now? -
Agree. Saw Incognito getting smoked too. To be fair, this line has never been really good at pass blocking. They have had "plays" here and there. No consistency,.
-
This coaching staff has shown they can't build an offense this team can execute very well. Just when you think they learned something and got better at coaching, you realize they haven't learned much at all and that whether this offense is going to be up or down week to week is a complete mystery going into each and every game.

Disagree. Chiefs are a talented team playing poorly. Bills are a less talented team who played less poorly.

11-20: McDermott and Coordinator Pressers
PolishDave replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So far they have managed to build a pile of feces. So apparently they intend to make the pile larger and more impressive - like one you would take a picture of and text to your buddies. "Hey check this massive turd out! Barely fits in the bowl!"" -

You would rather lose 50% in your 401k this year than make a positive return of 10% just because 10% isn't good enough for you? I will never understand that mentality. -

Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
PolishDave replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didn't the coach also admit recently that they were still trying to get a feel for this team? I think they found their answers. Yikes. -

He wasn't doing that often earlier in this season. Trying to force him to be a pocket passer is a mistake by Dennison. And allowing other teams to force him to be a pocket passer is a mistake by Dennison. We have known that clearly since the preseason game this year when Dennison made Taylor do that. The game was abysmal. Why would the coach want to repeat that? Get him out of the pocket. Force defenses to commit to trying to tackle him on the run or else risk easy first down yardages. -

Move on to what? Becoming the worst run defense in the NFL? Jimmity crickets.
