  1. If you want to compare Apples to Apples, how about comparing him to other slot receivers or at least to other receivers who aren't their team's number 1 receiver? If you compare him to his peers, he is near the top. He is exceptionally good at executing the things he is asked to execute.
  2. https://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/obesity-and-covid-19.html Quote" Obesity Worsens Outcomes from COVID-19"
  3. 38-0 Bills mostly due to Bills defense overwhelming steamroll. Mac throws 2 picks and gives up sack/fumble. Trubisky put in half way through 4th quarter to mop up. Bills running game weirdly unstoppable in 4th quarter. Mac Jones embarrassed. Cameras catch tears falling from his eyes. Belichick throws something other than a Microsoft Surface and smashes it. Bob Kraft's stiffy is deflated. Entire Patriots organization hangs head in embarrassment. Media back to saying Bills are a favorite to run the table to the AFC championship game and maybe even a Superbowl.
  4. Could be Dawkins has a compromised immune system for one reason or another. There have been people in their twenties who died as a direct result of Covid because their immune system couldn't fight it off. Not every twenty something person is going to breeze through Covid easy peasy. Some are going to be devastated by it. After getting so sick the first time with Covid, it seems plausible to me that Dawkins might be one of those twenty somethings whose immune system sees Covid as Superman sees Kryptonite. I think there was news that the fatter you are, the more likely you are to have a bad outcome from Covid.
  5. Am I the only one who thinks of every other AFC East team as our rivals? I effin hate the Dolphins and rejoice in their demise! I effin hate the Jets and rejoice in their demise! I effin hate the Patriots and anything connected to that organization and rejoice in all their demise! During the Brady years I hated the Patriots so much I would rather see the Patriots lose a game than see the Bills win a game. It brought more joy to my life. It is great to be back in a place where I now enjoy a Bills win more. But I still do enjoy seeing the Patriots lose - every single time! It makes me smile.
  6. Personally I don't care if they stand. I get as rowdy as anyone around me. I'm one of the guys yelling to make noise when our defense is on the field for first and second downs, not just third and fourth downs. If the people in front of me would sit, I would sit too just out of courtesy to the people behind me. (Except for big play situations like 3rd and long on defense or when the other team is in the red zone or something like that.) I think "standing all game long" used to be a violation of game code conduct and you could be reported for it. I don't see that advertised at the stadium anymore though. In the section I used to sit, there were some older guys whining about it non-stop telling everyone around them to sit down. They quit coming after a few years. I don't know if they died or if they just got too old for that rowdy environment or maybe they paid up for club seats so they could keep their fannies warm in the winter. Those old timers were constantly whining to the usher in that section. The usher would ask the people to sit down. That would last for maybe 15 minutes. I think the Bills are generally happy to keep fans as excited as possible and would rather not dampen down anyone's energy by asking them to please sit down. Seeing that Bills fans are as rowdy and energized as teenagers at a heavy metal concert, I don't see how anyone could expect them to sit quietly and just clap. It's not like a freaking Neil Diamond concert for Pete's sake.
  7. Even if the Patriots manage to win this Sunday, they still will not hold the same "aura" of being unstoppable as they did during the Brady years. Nobody is afraid to play them anymore. Even if the Bills lose to them this Sunday, they still won't be afraid of the Patriots the next time they play. The era of Patriot dominance is over. Now, if they sweep the Bills a couple years in a row, well then things change. At least that is how I see it.
  8. That's why seats are cheaper in the end zones and get more expensive as you get closer to the 50. 50 yard line lower bowl (about half way up) are my favorite in terms of viewing ability and feeling maximum involvement in the game. 200 level in the end zones are the worst seats in the stadium in my opinion. Your view isn't great except when they are on your side's goal line. Even then it is only okay. It is a toss up whether I would want to sit in the upper deck far corners or 200 level end zone seats. Neither is very appealing to me. But if that was all I could get for a playoff game, you bet I would still be there. Playoff game experience is unmatched awesomeness even if you have less than awesome seats.
  9. If you mean that the offense is not executing as well as they were last year, then I agree with you. I think the potential to dominate games is higher this year because the defense is substantially better this year than last (well, at least before Trey got hurt). The offensive potential is there, we just haven't seen it consistently enough. Seems to me that last year Allen was playing unleashed and was killing teams almost singlehandedly by ripping off huge scrambles and throwing deep passes on broken plays where he was forced to roll out and extend the play a few more seconds. It appears he had been asked "not to do that" this year - until the Tampa Bay game happened. When he became unleashed he started dominating. Allen has the potential to go into his own form of god-mode like in a video game. If he does that in any game, no matter who it is against, assuming he doesn't get hurt doing it, he is going to make the offense look magical and unstoppable. - Even with this subpar offensive line. Now, having the potential to be truly great, and actually executing greatness are two different things. Bills have to tap into that magic for at least part of the game this weekend and then again repeatedly in the playoffs.
  10. My hypothesis - People in the front rows in the lower bowl are energetic rabid fans who want to be seen going apeshit for the team. People in first row 300 are not as apeshit so they sit and watch contently. As soon as the person in front of you stands up, you can't see. So you get a domino effect of people standing up in the lower bowl. You are essentially forced to stand or else forced to watch the jumbotron instead of the actual field. Standing in the lower bowl has always been more prevalent than standing in the upper deck for these reasons, since I have been attending games - which has been for several decades + The cameras rarely zoom in on the fans in the first few rows of the upper deck. They frequently zoom in on the fans in the first few rows of the lower bowl. That is why we recognize all the regular characters, the chefs, elvis, etc.. I have had season tickets in the lower bowl forever. I stand for the national anthem. Then I sit unless the people directly in front of me are standing. And the vast majority of the time, the people in front of me are standing. So, I am forced to even if I don't want to. I pay to watch the game live on the field, not on the jumbotron.
  11. They want to create a supply vs demand scenario where demand is greater than supply year after year. That is how you maximize ticket prices, revenue per customer and return on investment. I think it is primarily about ROI. They have calculated their sweet spot for stadium size and will build it to that size. Also the main reason they don't want to build a dome. It reduces ROI.
  12. In my mind the Bills have already dethroned New England. The Bills swept them last year. The Patriots reign of dominance is over. I feel like the majority of people who have watched both New England and the Bills play this year are of the opinion that the Bills are the better team, and by quite a bit. I think New England knows it too - specifically Belichick. I think the reason he was all smiles late in the game in Buffalo was because he couldn't believe his inferior team was actually beating a superior Bills team playing a rudimentary version of high school football. That is truly laughable. Belichick and everyone in New England knew the Bills were one play from winning that game, almost the whole game. The Bills just could not execute that one difference making play. Beating the Bills is an uphill battle for the Patriots and they know it. They were lucky to win the first one. They would have to be very lucky to win the second one. Assuming we don't lose any more guys to Covid, and don't turn the ball over more than once, my gut tells me the Bills do make that difference making play this week. I think they make several of those difference plays and win this game convincingly. I predict the Bills will show this week that both their offense and defense is superior to the Patriots offense and defense.
  13. He has only done 1 thing better than those guys: 1) catch the balls thrown at him He has a higher catch percentage than those guys. Those other receivers are better than him in other ways. And with the exception of Tyreek Hill, Beasley is much smaller receiver with a much smaller catch radius. Yet he outperforms those other "superstar" receivers in the category of "catching balls that are thrown his way". That is the component that makes him so valuable. He gets open and he catches well. I got the stats from here: https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/receiving/2021/reg/all/receivingreceptions/desc
  14. What part of my post offended you? I've got no love for Beasley. I already stated the guy is a dick. And I previously said he was a fool for not getting vaccinated. His choice to make though. Regardless of that, he is still exceptionally productive as a slot receiver If you can't see that, you are blind from your own non-football related hatred of the guy. And if you think anyone else on this Bills' team is going to step into the slot receiver position and outplay him with consistency, I would bet you are going to be proven wrong. The Bills may replace him next year. If they do, his will be hard shoes to fill from a purely NFL slot receiver production standpoint.
  15. Judge production however you want to judge it. When it comes to receivers, my primary measuring stick is do they get open and catch the ball. The stats say unequivocally that Beasley does that exceptionally well. So well in fact, that if you look at the guys who had more catches than him this year, you will see that Beasley is fourth or fifth on the list for completion percentages. He gets open and catches the ball. In fact, he does it better than a lot of well known players NFL fans drool over like Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Keenan Allen, Davante Adams, etc. Beasley is a way above average receiver. And it is remarkable he outperforms much larger receivers with a larger catching radius.
  16. His production is replaceable? He has the 16th most receptions this year in the NFL among receivers and he is not the Bills' number 1 receiver. In other words, he has more catches than half the rest of the NFL teams' starting number 1 receiver. Good luck replacing that kind of production. I bet it doesn't happen. If it was that easy, more teams would be doing it. https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/receiving/2021/reg/all/receivingreceptions/desc If this is a bad year for him, how good is he in a good year? Dude is money. He produces. Yes he is a dick - a dick that produces.
  17. Yeah. Who wants depth receivers who outplay half the NFL's starting number 1 receivers. It really sucks having a great quarterback AND great receivers. Man that sucks. 😆
  18. Bears 15 players out Browns 21 players out Houston 14 Detroit 11 Chiefs 11 Giants 12 etc..... Unreal.
  19. Ranked number 16 in number of catches. And he is receiver number 2 on the team. No. He's not very good. What a ridiculous take. https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/receiving/2021/reg/all/receivingreceptions/desc
  20. I wonder how long it will take before Beasley fires up his Twitter account again and starts throwing jabs? The Bills should send him to remote Alaska (off-grid) to quarantine for the next 10 days.
  21. Which one of our current guys is equivalent to Bruce Smith? 😂 If we had a Bruce Smith on the team, I bet he would play more snaps than anyone else on that line.
  22. I quit cigarettes more than 20 years ago. Two packs a day smoker. One of the most challenging goals I have ever accomplished in my life. First few months I felt like I had gone insane - couldn't relax at all - constantly anxious. Then it slowly started getting better. My hat's off to anyone who can accomplish quitting. It is a remarkable accomplishment.
  23. What about all the people who have scheduled events for the game - including local venues, hotel reservations, plane reservations, Airbnb, scheduled time off from work, etc. Shutting down affects way more than just the players. And what are you going to do if the number of infections go up the following week? Keep it shut down? Really? There is good evidence of that?
