  1. I think you are right about it not being as big of an issue to most fans and the team. It only becomes more of an issue if Beasley starts running his fingers or running his mouth in public again. And it could also be an issue if the booing at the stadium gains momentum (probably won't happen) to the point where it affects the attitudes of the rest of the players. Worst case (again unlikely) is that it could cause some other emotional players to want to "take sides" thereby becoming pissed off at Beasley (locker room issues) or mad at the fans. This is why the whole thing is an immense fubar by Beasley. No upside. Only potential downside for him and the rest of the team. Red Forman would call him a jackass.
  2. I make an effort to maintain contact and visit with the core group of close friends from my youth. Some more frequent than others, but rarely more than a month goes by without having some kind of contact with one of them (out of a handful). We go out for drinks, get together for family parties, get together for holidays, go hunting together, go on fishing trips, go camping together, take vacations together, etc. We have been there for each other at our weddings, when kids and now grandkids are born - and also as we have lost family members. For me personally, maintaining deep lifelong relationships has been one of the things that has made life great so far and truly worth cherishing. I intend to keep doing it as long as we live and I'll be there for them and their families when we start dropping dead from the diseases of old age. https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2017/04/over-nearly-80-years-harvard-study-has-been-showing-how-to-live-a-healthy-and-happy-life/ "Close relationships, more than money or fame, are what keep people happy throughout their lives, the study revealed. Those ties protect people from life’s discontents, help to delay mental and physical decline, and are better predictors of long and happy lives than social class, IQ, or even genes. That finding proved true across the board among both the Harvard men and the inner-city participants."
  3. Maybe they should make it a penalty when the receiver gets up and makes a motion for a flag to be thrown. It happens so often it is crying wolf and it likely makes the refs second guess themselves all the time. We have all seen situations where there should be no penalty called, but the receiver makes the flag motion, the fans boo and 4 seconds later out comes the flag for pass interference. Should be unsportsmanlike conduct on the receiver. Let the refs call it. Weed out the refs who suck at calling obvious ones.
  4. Ahhh. So you're saying his mortgage was underwater? Got it.
  5. Couldn't they have traded him to somebody, somewhere, for something? Yeesh.
  6. His antivax fans have been putting signs up in their yards that say "Beasley for Governor" - just like the Allen/Diggs 2020 signs. Look for them. You'll see them around.
  7. If the Bills find a way to win the next two games, perhaps the fans will be too high to bother booing Beasley when the Dolphins come to town. If the Bills lose the next two, it will make people want to boo something or someone. Beasley will be the target. Heck he might even get a certain type of sex toy thrown at him. 🤣 Napoleon complex?
  8. What do you guys think the repercussions of Beasley's actions will end up being? Will he get benched for it? Fined for it? Talked to by the coach but that is about it? Something else? Care to speculate?
  9. I want a decisive victory and dominance on both sides of the ball. If the Bills want to be the best they have to be the best. The opportunity to beat the best in the AFC is this weekend. I want to see Spencer Brown steamrolling people with Moss and Singletary charging behind him. I want to see the Bills take whatever is available in the passing game whether that means short passes in the slot, tight end drags or whatever. I want to see Josh connect with his opportunities in the deep passing game when they are there to be had. And please let me see the pass rush harassing and disrupting Mahomes all night. Go Bills!
  10. Why do I feel like all of these idiots are just begging to get punched in the head at a Bills game. Pure idiocy.
  11. Beasley is an idiot for not choosing his words more carefully. He chose to say Bills fans. He could have just said a couple idiots in the stands were heckling me about not being vaccinated (if that is in fact what happened). Actually he is an idiot for even Tweeting at all - realizing there is no upside to doing so and only possible downside. He should have stuck to his decision to not post on Twitter again as a respectful gesture to his teammates. This man creates his own grief. He is a masochist. And just when the whole Covid thing is beginning to die down and less people than ever cared about his vaccination status or anyone else's for that matter - he has to go stir the pot and make a public stink. Its almost as if he is afraid of not getting enough attention.
  12. bull####! Keep it in the circus! That's a huge btch! 😁😁😂
  13. Legendary in his mind maybe 😂 and maybe amongst a handful of nutcases who think the guy is some political hero for his stance against "the man". Then as soon as people hear his rap song, they will be like -"oh.....I get it now.....super deuchebag..." He has LAMP issues. As you can tell from reading this board, that won't go over well with fans. I think he is a good football player who should shut up and do what he is good at. And he should come out and say "Sorry guys - when I mentioned the Bills fanbase I was just complaining about a couple of idiots who were being idiots - not the entire fanbase. In my experience here Bills fans rule!" or something to that extent. Then delete his Twitter account.
  14. I think Beasley has the exact opposite of "the upper hand". He is making himself look like a fool. The majority of the public will side against him. The coach will have full authority from anyone that matters as to what to do about it. That doesn't mean the coach will do anything. Just speculation.
  15. Yeah. I agree with you. The problem is how he reacted which you can tell by reading the posts here. He is losing supporters and fans rapidly - and now some people who would have cheered for him before will now want to intentionally boo him. If this story gains momentum (maybe it does, maybe it doesn't) and you have a fanbase booing when their team comes out of the tunnel, then what is the coach going to do? Is he going to sit on his hands and hope for the best? Is he going to make a move to keep that from happening? I don't know. Just speculating on what could happen if the story keeps gaining momentum. Seems to me like Beasley is putting McDermott between a rock and a hard place with his tweeting. I think Beasley will discover that his need to post emotional stuff on Twitter is like a drug addiction that carries negative consequences. But he already knew that before posting.
  16. They could choose to "not dress him" for home games. The last thing you want is your home fan base booing the team as it comes out of the tunnel. Bad vibe for the entire team even if the booing is focused on one specific player. He could be banned from the stadium on game day because of his poor decisions regarding social media.
  17. I wonder how many Dallas fans are giggling about this thinking "Yeah...Screw you Buffalo. Enjoy the man bun!"
  18. This is also a good example of how much the mental part of this game plays into it. You can get inside the players heads. The 12th man does count. You can both help and hurt your team by the things you yell from the stands - assuming you are close enough to be heard clearly.
  19. No doubt. And when Cole said "Some are. Then I got some right behind the bench" what he probably really meant was that "One time there was this one guy who said........" If there was a group of people doing it loud enough for Beasley to hear, there would have been a group of other Bills fans telling those guys to shut the "F" up. - Bet on it.
  20. He should have used the stadium "text" number for reporting bad behavior. lol 😂
