  1. How are you going to know the pick before it happens? You don't know what route the receiver is going to run. And you certainly don't know what route the other receiver is going to run in order to create the pick. A DB might guess what route the guy is going to run, but until the receiver takes off running, the DB doesn't really know for sure. If you try to anticipate picks, you will very likely end up leaving receivers wide open. You might get it right one time. The next time the offense will adjust and burn you by changing a route. I suppose it also depends heavily on what defense you are playing and what type of coverage you are playing.
  2. Hilarious. But Carl is going to be sucking it, come Monday.
  3. Life isn't fair is it? If you aren't physically capable of being in an environment where you have to stand a lot of the time, then your reasonable choices are 1) put yourself in a better situation where you won't have to stand very much (like club seats or front row seats in any section or aisle seats or family zone) or 2) accept the fact that sitting in most of the seats in the main bowl area is not a good idea for someone who is physically limited - instead of complaining about it. I would have said option 3 is don't go to the game, but you asked me not to. So I just gave you other legitimate options.
  4. You don't need a VPN service to do that. All you need to do is to use a proxy server. It is a setting within Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options- Connections - Lan Settings Go to Google and search "Free proxy servers" Those free proxy servers go down often. So if you are going to do this, make sure you test the proxy server connection right before you leave for the football game. There are paid proxy server services that are more reliable. Just Google them. Or you can pay for a VPN as already mentioned. The free proxy server thing will be a pain in your rear the first time you try to learn how to do it. But once you learn how to do it, it takes less than one minute to get everything setup. It is very easy to do if you are technically savvy. Just remember to change the proxy settings back when you get home. Also, you generally don't want to transmit passwords and login credentials across a free proxy service or a free VPN service. Only use a paid service for such things as that exposes you to having your username and password compromised.
  5. They can't do that though or else it is called either "illegal contact" or "pass interference". That is the problem with pick plays. There is nothing to stop an offensive player from just standing in the way of a defender trying to run to defend a pass route. To stop it, they would have to make some kind of rule about receivers not being allowed to cross routes within five or ten yards of one another once past the line of scrimmage. Something like that might work because it would only allow receivers to cross paths if there was enough separation between them.
  6. Yes very cool. That would be a great idea. Also a performance of the United States Air Force band singing patriotic songs would be stellar. But, I know that is too much to ask for. More than 1/2 of America just isn't that patriotic anymore. Bummer...
  7. To each his own I guess. I don't remember the Prince performance being special at all. I went and looked it up online. It made me think that the guy is like a skinny male version of Aunt Jemima jumping around, screeching and squawking on stage. I thought it sucked personally. Like I said, to each his own. Look at that dumbass bandanna thing on his head. Listen to him. He makes the same sounds that a stubborn cow makes when you prod her with a cattle prod but she still doesn't want to move.
  8. A fine would make sense. Make it a progressive fine getting steeper each time with each offense. Make it cost prohibitive on them. Roger needs to send out his league wide notices of this new policy right away.
  9. Springsteen was by far the best in recent memory. And yes that U2 one was pretty bad ass too.
  10. What a giant waste? No?
  11. True. I am thinking of ways they could try to make it look like they had no involvement in it. And rebroadcasting the Patriots own radio makes sense because it makes it look like accidental signal crossover. If they instead chose to broadcast any other type of signal to the other team, then they would reveal it is intentional.
  12. It's possible. You can buy devices that will do that for very little money. For example, there are devices you can buy for your car that turn any signal input into a radio frequency broadcast so that you can listen to it on your car's factory radio. That is what all of those hands free cell phone devices do. They turn the input signal from your cell phone into a radio frequency signal that is broadcast at low wattage from the device. You can even adjust the devices to broadcast on just about any frequency in the normal FM range. I can envision someone with RF electronics knowledge probably pretty easily converting such a device to overwhelm the same signal that the headset is supposed to receive. You could run such a device on a battery for hours. You could crank up the wattage as much as necessary and even make it directional. Such devices have been around for a long time. You would just have to sneak it into a game which should be pretty easy to do considering the electronic part of it is very small and very easily concealed. Way easier to sneak in than a single can of beer. Could even be packaged to look like a remote starter for a car. It would have a limited range (like 50 feet or so depending on the wattage). So any fan sitting in the first 5 rows or so directly behind the opponents bench would be close enough. A more sophisticated unit could be located higher up.
  13. When I clicked on this thread... I thought for sure it was going to be a swanky photo of 5 hot college girls getting ready to pose for Playboy's college edition or something. What a let down....
  14. It would be great to pipe in little whispering voices into his helmet. "you suck" "hey, check out the press box. Gisele is up there giving out free hum****" "Gronk's dad is up there" "ohh...there she is again.. look at her head bob"
  15. We sent him back on another mission in Nam to rescue some GI's still being held in captivity there. It is a hush hush covert mission. All he took was a big ass knife and a bandanna to wear as a headband.
  16. I predict 30 second spots in this year's Superbowl will be sold for record breaking amounts of money. Is that a really bold prediction or what?
  17. I think the NFL provides the equipment, but the home team hooks it up for the game. A planted "fan" in the stands behind the visitor's bench is probably the source of the interference being broadcast at close range within the proximity of opponents' equipment.
  18. I remember being at that game and seeing a transformer light up. Then the stadium juice went zap. Then it was like a high school football game where you can't hear crap or tell what the refs are really doing. I think that was the same year Brady broke his leg and everyone in the section where I was sitting was celebrating.
  19. I think Colts fans are going to learn some new names on Sunday. Seems like the only Bills players they are really concerned about are McCoy & Watkins. They claim they would be concerned about Dareus if he was playing. As if Marcell Dareus is the only guy on that line that they need to be concerned about. That is kind of funny. If anything, I would be more worried about what kind of havoc Kyle, Mario and Jerry are going to create. Jerry Hughes is going to be playing that game with a vengeance and a chip on his shoulder. Go get em Jerry. Hopefully Luck spends most of next week trying to shake the nightmares out of his head of Bills pass rushers coming at him like he is a virgin convict just locked up in Attica. I think Colts fans are going to be surprised when the Bills move the ball in large chunks on the ground and over the middle against what Colts' fans think is a pretty good defense of theirs.
  20. You mean like WEO? He's a Pat's fan. Isn't he?
  21. Everyone saw it but the refs.
  22. Funny... I wonder how many common sense people there are in the New England area who are embarrassed right now because some idiot fans are chanting that.... Funny how proud the Pats fans are of their cheaters.....Sad display of lack of values in this country..
  23. Pittsburgh's new defensive coordinator = sucks! Must have hung out in the Doug Marrone school of how to coach football.
  24. Notice how the Pats went for the throat again after a big play...... That is something the Bills have been lacking in for a while now.. Hopefully Rex does that..
  25. Ben was saying "They can't shift". Not sure he is right about that.
