    These announcers are weak. How many times has the play by play guy said it was second down when it was third down already? How many times have they said Spiller ran when it was Dixon?

    This is a big loss in my opinion. Gaughan was my favorite writer at the News. Never read the Buffalo News when Vic Carruci was there previously, so I don't know how this nets out exactly.

    If I were Pettine, I would take the Browns job in a heartbeat. Being too good for openings often does not serve the up and coming coordinator well. Look at Brian Schottenheimer. Remember when he was too good to even interview for the Bills opening? Within a couple of years the Jets fired him and he cannot even hope to get an interview.

    The NFL seems terrible when the Bills lose. I actually don't watch games the rest of weekend. When they win, I want to watch everything.

    Billy Volek was given the opportunity to compete for the QB job for the Bills when Volek was a free agent. Billy Volek refused -- he preferred to re-sign as a backup.

    If Freeman turns down Buffalo, then he has Billy Volek disease and is not someone I would want QBing this team.

    I didn't realize he was doing drop backs. I must have missed that. I could do more than straight ahead, but I wasn't pretending to be a QB on the sidelines. Still, I am not sure that we can breathe any sigh of relief that is not serious until we see the diagnosis.
