  1. I don't recall claiming it never happens anywhere in the world. Sorry if I confused you. I did umpire kids baseball for years and never heard it there. But I'm sure it's happening everywhere else.
  2. Harrison could teach his kids that being the dirtiest player in the league, intentionally trying to hurt someone is a much better way to earn a trophy. I've never heard a parent complain that their kid isn't getting a trophy. Getting a trophy for playing Tball(like my kids did) ,means nothing. They don't even remember getting one. This is one of those issues that people like to complain about but really haven't come up with a good reason as to why. Kids don't get trophies all the time, it's usually in leagues where you don't keep score and they are just learning the game. It's not a big deal, and I find it hard to believe it has any negative impact on the rest of their lives. And I'm sure there is no proof that it does. It's a trophy that little kids get for being involved in a team sport at an early age, where they are just learning the basics of playing, being a teammate...., this doesn't mean the country is messed up, i think you are overdoing it a bit. When my team got TBall trophy's I explained to them why they got them and what they needed to do to get more as they got older, most of the kids sat there picking their noses and probably didn't listen to me, but some of them were 3 years old and needed to pee. It's not a big deal, just another thing to senselessly rant about.
  3. Since he didn't fumble every time he got hit , perhaps your concern is a bit overblown.
  4. How quickly Fred and Boobie come back from injuries will be a factor in who stays and who goes
  5. Brown looked great last night. Maybe his career here was in jeopardy because of a numbers situation, but last nights performance only helped him. I think Fred needs to be concerned, maybe Boobie, especially if they miss much more time.
  6. Can't argue with this. All 3 QB's did well. It's still just the first preseason game, but have to be happy with all 3 tonight.
  7. 9/9 is good no matter the situation, but I wouldn't put much stock in preseason game 1 performance as an indicator of regular season play.
  8. I wish someone would ask a coach or GM if this is anything ever considered. It just doesn't seem to be realistic. If teams could take advantage this way, it would happen all the time, plus teams would be more protective of their systems. Just seems way to easy a way gain an advantage, but I don't think that advantage exists.
  9. but where was the tent? and was the receiver in the tent?
  10. Al Cowlings Tom Ruud
  11. i basically agree, but for some reason I'm ok with Elvis - he's been there so long, I have to give him some credit.
  12. he is probably one of the top 6 or 7 route runners on the team, but most of our players don't run routes... Probably not better than Watkins , Woods, Harvin, Clay,... He is a WR after all, he should be a good route runner. No praise for that. How is he a better athlete than any other skill position player, or LB or DB, RB.....?
  13. From everything I've read, he is an excellent OLine coach, i'm glad he is on our team. He told a reporter that Cutler wouldn't check down when he should. Hardly toxic.
  14. i have an open dialogue with the big guy.
  15. actually it is a biggeee if they lose. Can't afford to lose too many games this year, especially home games.
  16. It might. You really think there is no difference between the two?
  17. I find this hard to believe. Kromer is a highly regarded OL coach, his assistant is just that, an assistant. Perhaps they get lucky, but there most likely would be a significant falloff. And it's also very hard to believe that he has already taught them everything they need to know. That just makes no sense whatsoever.
  18. I agree. Hope you are correct. He was their first choice to be OL coach, I don't want his assistant taking over. Would be a huge setback.
  19. He made a key block on Fred's big run against Chicago to set up the winning FG in OT. Probably the only good block from our LG position all season.
