  1. you're sorry about the black guys getting killed, but horrified about the cops, and their families. What about the families of the dead black guys. They lost a dad, son, husband... too. I'm horrified about all those incidents. Lot more white people in this country, and the issue is that many have the impression that the shootings of many of the blacks aren't justified. I don't see much outrage over justifiable police shootings, black or white. Another thing to keep in mind, on a somewhat different subject. Shooting statistics are not accurate. A republican congress made it illegal for the gov't to spend any money on gun violence research. Independent groups try to maintain stats, but likely not totally accurate.
  2. That's refreshing, and unusual for a fellow officer. As far as justified, I'll say all the facts aren't in. And if they were justified, there is a problem. As far as I know the man in the car legally had his gun. It seems, for the most part, this pressure comes about only when dealing with black people. The other day, a white guy shot at a cop and was not fired upon. Can't imagine that happening to a black guy.
  3. And if the officer is wrong and kills an innocent person, what should be done? And would you openly support punishment? BS- we have 'feel good' stories all the time.
  4. 50/50 chance - 1 shot 1 not. Cop did his damage already.
  5. The police officer told her to keep her hands where they were.
  6. Back in the 70's , I remember bringing a beverage cooler into the stadium. It was crazy what you were able to do in the stadium in those days.
  7. Doesn't he need facts to support his argument before we can refute the facts. Do you have any facts to support your claim that the NFL has conspired to move a team out of it's current city?
  8. there was - i think he was shot and killed, but not sure. that is a type of terrorism, a very successful type, why wouldn't they be looking for that?
  9. so police just walking around will help prevent terrorist activities?
  10. If it's about terrorism, are the officers trained in counter terrorism? Will they be patrolling with bomb sniffing dogs, checking backpacks.... or just cruising around? If it's legitimate, I would expect there to be quite a noticeable difference between those that are patrolling and the regular officers.
  11. O.J., never saw a more exciting RB ever.
  12. Unless they sell the team or move it to Vegas. Moving would dramatically increase the value of the team.
  13. According to Forbes, the Bills net income was $44 million. Ranked 32nd in the league. He may not get a quick ROI, but the value of the team will continue to increase. It's a great investment if you have the means. http://www.forbes.com/nfl-valuations/list/#tab:overall
  14. he seems to be deliberately misquoting me , in a very negative way, I don't appreciate it. My posts are here to see, no need to embellish to make your point.
  15. "I think many of them are bad and need to go away." Are you stupid? I'm done. It's been a thin slice of heaven. Go Bills!
  16. i said the bad ones need to go, big difference. I didn't say that. You are the one putting words in my mouth. 2nd correction I had to make in your last 2 posts.
  17. think what you want, you don't seem to have a problem with cops killing people for whatever reason they see fit, that makes you much worse than anything you've called me.
  18. i pay taxes to fund the police force, they are civil servants, I would expect them to help me. I don't like most politicians, yet I still vote and have expectations that they will perform well. Not hypocritical at all. hater may be a bit too strong, I think many of them are bad and need to go away.
  19. I would hope that the police act properly any time I or anyone else calls them. I would also like to see the good cops call out the bad cops, but they can't or won't, and that's a big part of the problem. I would have a lot more respect for them if they would do that.
  20. come on, comment on it. that's why we're here. (OJ was 'not guilty' too) In a perfect world. But in the Stadium case, I'm with you.
  21. It's his fault he was in legal trouble, it's the fault of those that recklessly caused his death that he is dead. Not every crime should result in an immediate execution. and one more point, because this could go on forever. I can see why some people run from cops, if i were in some others shoes, i'm not sure I would trust them enough to just sit there and wonder if this is the a-hole cop or not.
  22. a very naive take on this. It wasn't 'sitting calmly in the back of a cop car'. He had a broken back and was sitting in a van and tossed around as the driver had his fun making sudden swerves.
  23. this could get deeper than I have time for, but... I don't defend michael brown. I'm not in total agreement with the cops version of the story, but I don't defend Brown. Re: Freddie Gray, from only what we learn from the news, this seems like a horrible decision. I don't know all the facts, but it would seem someone needs to be held accountable for this man's death. The riots are a much deeper issue, riots on their own are wrong, fighting back decades of racial injustice with no end in sight can cause an unfortunate reaction. At the time of the riots, I said, I don't like it, but I can see their point. therefore, he deserved to die.
