  1. First, if you don't like the job someone is doing, that's fine, but to insult the way you do is not only immature, but in my opinion costs you credibility. next, you mention the talent on offense. Where is it? Is it better talent then most other teams have? I think the main problem with the offense is it's tremendous lack of talent. Nobody on the o-line is worth a crap, No QB and little depth and TE and WR. Hackett may be a problem, but with this offensive personnel it's really hard to be sure.
  2. On par with Urbik? so what's the point of signing them. We are supposed to improve the line, no status quo.
  3. With so few quality QB's around, it's absurd to think that a team with a solid one would let him go. Makes no sense. Especially with Eli.
  4. you mean rumors. I don't think we will hear anything from ownership until it's finalized.
  5. He should consider himself lucky, I hear in other parts of the country if you kick and swing at a cop, they may shoot and kill you, especially after threatening mass murder with an AK-47.
  6. It's likely a combination - the line lacks talent, but good coaching/game planning might be better at utilizing their strengths and hiding the weaknesses.
  7. Why mid level? so everyone can complain again next year? how about upper level????? How many successful coaches were great players? Marv Levy? Bill Belicheck? Bill Parcells?
  8. and Henderson at RT, and Pears and Urbik at different positions, so not nearly the same. And, players don't maintain the same quality throughout their careers, some players don't have 10 year solid careers. It doesn't matter what happened a few years ago.
  9. maybe Brooks was a little miffed about Williams lining up on the line of scrimmage and letting Oakland RB's run right past him.
  10. I don't care if Hackett stays or goes, but Glenn got burned today, Urbik was awful, Wood as usual, sucked and Henderson as has been mentioned got burned often. Not sure OC is the main problem we have here. But my guess is that if Marrone stays, the offensive staff will see major changes. We need a QB too.
  11. You think Marrone would say something publicly?
  12. We all realize that we need a QB and that there are so few available. Why do people think that any team would trade any quality QB to Buffalo or any other team. What would they do next? I know it's hard, but when you come up with trades, think about what the other team is left with.
  13. You always hear fans worried players look past opponents. Here we are hearing fan strategy for the Patriots game. We play Oakland next week.
  14. Is the sarcasm font on here? I"m sure Bill B would freak out .... can't imagine he would know how to react to EJ stepping behind center, the novice that he is.
  15. just one of those annoying things. OC is offensive coordinator, no need to refer to offensive center - there is no defensive center. Center has been accepted as the term for probably 100 years.
  16. He can and he has. Not sure why people always think the new guy can't play worse than the old guy.
  17. Did you watch the Rams the other night ? Can't see why they would get rid of Bradford, they need a QB.
  18. haven't we already seen him play? it wasn't pretty. Why give him another shot , but not EJ? Not trying to be a wise guy, but what would make you think he would be a good number 2? Not playing well as a starter? If he doesn't play well, would anyone say- let's keep him as a backup? I think we should worry about finding a starter, then work on a backup.
  19. Not sure if there is anything better for the price, a high draft pick? I still strongly believe that spending our resources on the O-Line is the best way to improve our QB situation. Not sure anyone else would perform too much better with the same crappy line. We need better RB play as well.
  20. If there are any quality QB's available, it would be costly. Not sure there are teams with the luxury of having enough quality at that position to trade one. This is why so many teams need QB's , there aren't nearly enough to go around. Look at the Rams/Cards game the other night - horrible backups playing.
  21. ldIt starts with poor offensive line play, which relates to below average RB performances and not so consistent QB play. I'm convinced that an above average offensive line would have us in a good playoff position right now. RB and QB would be much more effective.
