I don't believe in the 3 year plan happening in '19

3 - Richie, Wood and Glenn As for why they regressed.... hard to say, but it's not often rookies consistently contribute to success, we rely of a few rookies. Other teams draft and get free agents as well, so in order to improve we need to also do more than other teams. We didn't. Lots of heavy lifting yet to do for Beane. Let's hope he makes some good moves. -
Again people..... This is the first year of a REBUILD

Are there enough out there to go around, since we won't get everyone we want, and will the FA's choose Buffalo over many other teams with probably a much better situation to offer. -

Why would I hide my loyalty? It's not that I take it to heart per say, it's just so ***** pathetic that it's impossible for me to not react all the time. -

7 - Frazier - You almost have to applaud the timing of articles this week talking about Frazier getting consideration for Head Coaching opportunities this week. Again, in a week where Brady isn't Brady, you give up how many rushing yards and to who? C'mon man. You got absolutely schooled today and it was a joke. If I told you Brady's stat line today, you'd assume we won or it was close. To squander this opportunity is pathetic. I'm not sure how much falls on Frazier. We have crap for linebackers and I think a wasted $50m on Star. If we had any semblance of an offense, no 6 3 and outs, INT's , fumbles, blocked punt.... it's a surprise NE didn't put up 40+ on us for what we gave them. -

Week 16 Bills at Pats Postgame Postmortum
klos63 replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, almost 2 full years into this tenure and we are a pretty bad team that is pinning it's hopes of improving on about 15-20 players that aren't on the team right now. -

Cheatriots- that's so clever and original. -
As a fan, at the time , I appreciated the long stretch of great seasons. Looking back, I would take one Super Bowl mixed in with some not so great seasons. I was a season ticket holder before , during and after the Super Bowl years and had a blast, but looking back, no matter how exciting that time was, I now look back with an empty feeling. I can't enjoy the memories because of the final game of those seasons.

Rebuilding your offense from the inside out

You really think so? -
it seems premature, except when you look at the backup QB situations around the league. The bar is really low and someone who actually performed well, even just once, is something to react to.
-
he's a very good coach, they're hard to come by.
-
i just wanted to go with the seinfeld reference It just seems that's the big thing. Every QB signed or considered was thought of as a mentor. The assumption is that they are all good mentors , they get all the praise, no criticism, unlike the actual coaches. Why?
-
i've posted this before, Dufek lives out here in Phoenix, I just drove by his old office and it still has the Joe Dufek Insurance sign on it. I laugh and cry about the 'Dufek' era everytime I see that sign.

It used to be veteran qb's that weren't that good anymore were mentors, now i guess it's just a backup QB. I think people like using the word 'mentor'.

Where does everyone stand on this lost season?
klos63 replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We had Peterman and Derek Anderson start games for us. We had to drag a guy out of retirement to play. We are past that now, but what an embarrassing situation this team was in after Allen was injured. I still don't understand how we could have been so unprepared to deal with the QB situation right from the start. We are not a very good team, we need a pretty substantial roster overhaul, mainly on offense, this offseason. Some very heavy lifting required. I do like what I see from Allen. Love his arm and the way he approaches and plays the game. He's the only reason to be optimistic for the future right now. -

He still helps, but I think we can even upgrade with him. He can still have a role, but more like a pass rusher only. -

Overall it's been a pretty crappy season. Like most crappy seasons, there are bright spots. Pretty good defense, Allen is improving and making big plays, Foster looks good too, .... that's about it. There needs to be huge turnover on offense and that will be difficult to do, we need more help on defense as well... pass rush help, LB depth, a starter would be nice too. A lot of positions need upgrade, it will be a challenge for Beane. -
Pretty fair assessment - I think Darnold is going to be a star. Looks like an excellent QB class. Quite a benefit for the league.
