  1. Really? What is with this board Guys like Ebron and Amaro would not have been projected 1st rounders 3 years ago.
  2. But the Bills were named after a guy that shot stuff, maybe even a buffalo And the city wasn't even named for the animal
  3. Yes Looking into how he's revered in Toronto, it's pretty creepy. He must kiss a lot of rich ass
  4. The days of regularly finding top TEs in the middle rounds are probably over.
  5. This is the one reason why I'm for signing Byrd. If you're not going to spend to the cap, why not keep him. But Weddle money or more for Byrd is nuts. He's not worth that. Very few teams in the league would be willing to pay a FS that. And the concerns are obvious after what he pulled this year.
  6. Obvious response from Bon Jovi, he's not going to ask Ralph now and insult him and his family.
  7. Yes, the Wilsons have full control who they wish to sell to. Ralph has said he wants the team in Buffalo, but who knows. Listening to La Canfora today, I don't think this story has any wheels. Basically, Bon Jovi wants any NFL team, has enough money and has built connections to get a group going, and the Bills are probably the best upcoming option since Ralph is very old. That's it.
  8. Jets fans should be angry It really sucks when you have a quality team, or at least for Jets have a very good defense, being wasted because your QB is garbage. It's a hopeless situation to be in, can't draft a top QB, only hope is to try getting lucky reaching for a guy like Sanchez. Bills fans should sympathize...
  9. I didn't think this was a rebuilding team this year. They had talent set in many spots. It's that people got caught up with "changes" in the staff and Marrone's babble. On defense, they lacked any sort of MLB, a pass rusher beside Mario, and CB2 was arguable. Kiko was a great pick, the secondary performed amazingly well (except when depth got so bad that Justin Rogers had to play), the pass rusher still needs to be found. And they've got a great mind with Pettine, please stay here. Offense was set besides the QB and WR depth. Jury remains out on EJ, which is obviously the most important thing. Woods and Goodwin at least appear to be useful deserving roster players, which is an upgrade. Countered by completely ignoring the LG position and Kraig Urbik's play has really dropped this year, along with Erik Pears being done. OL has become more of an issue.
  10. Bon Jovi is buddies with Jim Kelly I really really REALLY don't want Kelly to have any ownership or say. That would officially kill my interest in the team. And they'd be terrible in that situation anyway
  11. Eric Ebron is the TE I really like this draft. The potential there is huge, he's that big athlete in the mold of Graham. The big question is if he'll continue to grow in strength so he can make those tough catches in crowds. I don't care for Amaro at all, he's not even a TE at Tech, he's a slot WR that requires no press coverage, i.e. a fancier David Nelson.
  12. Or, hire a coach that doesn't get "caught up in the game". They're out there! But, not likely to be within the NFL Ol' Boys Club I'd easily rather have a coach that makes sound game decisions instead of Mr. Rah Rah BS, but that's not the NFL way
  13. That's an interesting proposal. I think Arizona declines it. It's fair to question if Spiller is even an upgrade on Ellington. I would look to trade Spiller. Someone's willing to give up a 2nd and change for him, I'd probably do it. Take advantage of whatever RB value is left before it's totally gone.
  14. Learning from mistakes, etc... I think EJ is fine in that regard. He seems like a good guy that's always willing to learn, and realizes he needs to improve. Is he an accurate enough passer? The Jets' game didn't convince me yet. The Graham TD pass was frankly dumb luck. The Goodwin throw was one Thad Lewis can make. The next month is where EJ can continue showing he can impress there.
  15. I wouldn't call this a new philosophy. I think it's just being willing to not hang on to your guys forever, which is kinda easy at this point since many weren't even Whaley's guys. But, the Fitz situation ruins any positivity towards Whaley for now.
  16. It would be nice, but the football star makes money for people, including the State.
  17. I'll bet you everything I own that Oliver isn't drafted Not the first time I've cashed in on homers And that's not to say he can't be a player in the NFL. I don't know about his blocking with the level he's at, but I do like Bo's hard running. But, a guy that slow isn't getting drafted.
  18. Probably. Cosell has proven to be a dime-a-dozen reactionary guy in the media.
  19. First, promote Pettine to HC, and let him know that he's my guy. He can do whatever he wants with Marrone and Nathaniel. For the draft, I'd focus on drafting another QB in the early rounds. Hard to go beyond that for now. Slight edit there.
  20. I like that this FO is willing to dump their useless guys and try hitting with these types of players They have to draft a LG and a RT, it looks like. Pears $3.5M cap hit is likely cut. Hairston's mystery injury is not promising.
  21. The main thing is that the Jets need to not sweep Miami. Then the Bills have a chance. As long as they win at NE at Week 17. Ohohoh Hahahaha. But, it would be cute for Bills homers to have hope coming into that game.
  22. I don't want either long-term Geno has very slow eyes, easily rattled by blitzes, and implodes easily Manuel isn't an accurate enough passer
  23. I really really want this Losing Pettine would stink. This guy is special and a difference maker. I think odds are against Pettine getting a significant better offer this offseason, but no way he'll last the 3 requisite years that flops like Marrone usually get.
  24. Definitely keep Carpenter. It shows you how easy it is to get a quality kicker today, he was cut by a few teams while being among the most accurate kickers ever along with adequate kickoff strength. Hopkins can go. Stupid moves drafting kickers in back-to-back seasons.
