  1. Yes, but only if they trade him for something of value, at least a 3rd round pick. I hate the idea of letting a proven useful player go for a pittance and wasting an asset in replacing him, which the Bills have done too much, but I think it's time for Stevie to annoy another team. There's always something with Stevie and it's just not working here. He may be better off on another team where he's not such a focal point. They don't save much since Stevie has ~$13M in dead money over the next 3 years if they decide to release him prior to his March bonus.
  2. This is the main problem. Walking out of the stadium. you're forced to walk in a large open space with crowds of people. You're going to eventually deal with drunken losers, and I've had some jerk harass me or my group every game I've gone to. The experience at Bills game is really not worth it.
  3. I think Bills/Lions is likely on Thanksgiving, it would fulfill the one Thursday requirement and NFL Network doesn't have to give them a Thursday night game.
  4. Please stop the comparisons to Wilson. Russell was clearly a better QB by the middle of last season. Stats rarely tell the story with QBs. One can look at EJ's college stats and think he's a very accurate, efficient passer. Some of the high post idiots here did. And let's stop the hyperbole with the Carolina game. EJ basically had one drive in that game, where he threw only easy short passes against a secondary that was practice squad safeties. A drive that he wouldn't have had a chance with if Ron Rivera understood that kicking a FG for 23-17 on a 4th and 1 was a mind-numbingly atrociously terribad decision.
  5. No, he doesn't. He's a troll that's paid very well for a rag that's been dead for a decade. Our local version of Skip Bayless.
  6. The Losman trade feels all too similar to the Bills reaching for Manuel... trading up instead of down, but the reach that they must get a QB that year. And the Bills were strength of schedule or one meaningless win away from likely drafting Ben that year, I always remember that. Sigh.
  7. Fully agreed, especially when there's not much invested in EJ. I'd like to have 2 capable QBs here even if EJ was great. And I'm afraid that EJ has been "their guy" since Day 1 and that it hasn't changed. Kolb probably was never planned to be serious competition as the starter. They've been very protective of him and that appears to continue with Marrone "simplifying" things for EJ. Along with listening to interviews with Marrone and various players, especially Eric Wood, constant mentions that EJ is "their QB".
  8. Donahoe gets too much hate, but the guy was a jerk and asked for it, along with Ralph obviously hating that situation. His drafts were decent overall, and that 2004 team was really unlucky to not make the playoffs. But, he made the fatal flaw with Losman.
  9. That's about it. And his rating is boosted by collecting lots of garbage stats this year too. It's a lot easier to say RG3 should have been rested and healed his leg in hindsight.
  10. Then the 3rd year, EJ has his best year slightly, with like 20 TDs. Just enough for him to get a big extension while the Bills continually go 6-10 and then he gets released when the next coaching staff is brought in.
  11. If the Bills have another awful game, then I think it's seriously time to question Marrone. Because there is not a single reason to be positive about him if he proves to not be able to motivate and properly prepare the team.
  12. That's the purpose of the team getting a veteran backup. They don't want him to be a long-term option over EJ. No threat to our EJ. I think McCown may have played himself out of that spot with his play this year, though.
  13. I love arrogant high post counts. 4.2 YPC, which is middle of the league. The last couple weeks have damaged this. Ridiculously false. The Bills defense has been top 10 in the league in allowing 1st downs all season, and this is with facing the 5th most snaps in the league. The exception was just the Atlanta game, which is where this point started. False, again. This defense is among the best in not allowing 20+ yard passes and in pass yardage allowed per play. This is a bit biased toward the Bills since they're a losing team and they haven't faced the best passing offenses, but still. Now I know that in the happy homerland box up there where you care about Marrone's babble and want to run 2 TE power sets, you don't understand that EVERY defense gives up big plays because that's the league now. Pass defenses can't do anything. Awful PI calls happen every game. It's not 1980 anymore. Yeah, but all areas of the team are guilty of this. And that's not a Pettine thing, that's a Marrone thing. ACCOUNTABILITY. Not really, 16th in the league defensively. 21st overall in points allowed. And that's with defending the 5th most plays, again. Off The Wall must be, also. Please go back there.
  14. I want the QB with talent who I know can make plays. And hope he doesn't do anything too stupid. Just keep him locked up in Orchard Park.
  15. Seriously, Nassib was turrible in preseason. For any proof, he clearly lost the backup job to Curtis Painter. Good chance Nassib is out of the league in a year. Last year was a terrible QB draft class. It wasn't the year for Buddy to retire and draft "his" QB
  16. 1) Jonathan Football / QB GOD / Texas A&M 2) Eric Ebron / TE / UNC 3) Juwaun James / RT / Tennessee
  17. Bears have had a notoriously bad line for years, and everyone would have said Spiller over Forte before the season.
  18. I believe a Quality Control Coach does most of the scouting work for games during the season. A lot of coaches started there, so it's nothing to mock.
  19. Possibly. Note that half the Bears wins have come with McCown, who has played at a level far higher than the rest of his career. And the Bears defense has suffered lots of injuries. The talent disparity isn't much, if there even is one.
  20. Please, every team has a chance in the league. It's completely set up for parity. There is no reason the small-market teams cannot compete. I wish the NFL was like MLB.
  21. Nathaniel Hackett has been. One can debate if that's a good thing. Players always need teaching, even if they're "leaders" like Fred. Mentor stuff is stupid and rarely exists. Filler term for the media to use about old players.
  22. Which will cause OBD to believe in EJ for the next 4 years Justin Rogers screws us forever!
  23. Tebow averaged well over 200 in starts his rookie season. And won a playoff game!
