  1. I have so many but a few that jump out: - The Watkins move was the right move at the time. - Josh Rosen was my favorite QB in that draft. - Whitner was an okay pick at the time. - If drafted 10 years later, Roscoe Parrish would have been a star. - Jim Kelly is the most overrated player in franchise history. He was a good QB but not an all-time great. (Not sure that this is embarrassing but controversial). - Marv Levy held the early 90’s teams back. (Again not embarrassing but controversial)
  2. He is the exact opposite IMO. He won with a great QB and a bunch of guys. Brees played with ZERO skill players that went to the Pro Bowl. Payton schemed guys open EVERYWHERE. He won a Super Bowl and was the worst missed call ever from going again. Add in the Minnesota Miracle and he could have been to 3. He is MILES ahead of McDermott as a football mind. Payton is a terrible husband and has some other demons but a great coach. I lived in New Orleans for his whole tenure and followed the Saints pretty closely (you can’t avoid it there). I don’t mean to be so dismissive here when people downplay Payton. He and Brees were the reason that those teams won so often. They won because of him not despite him. The talent was just okay everywhere else. The Bills win WITH McDermott not because of him.
  3. I thought that they should have replaced him with Sean Payton this offseason. McDermott is okay. The Doug Collins comparisons are right IMO. The Bills would be good with ANYBODY coaching them. He is not elevating them. He isn’t necessarily hindering them either. He’s a caretaker. In order to get to the next level, I would have hired Payton. You could do worse than McDermott. You can do better also.
  4. This has come up here a couple of times. At this point, it’s the most appropriate comparison IMO. I advocated, last year, for Sean Payton this year, if the Bills didn’t (at least) go to the Super Bowl. Sean Payton with Allen and Diggs would have won multiple Super Bowls imo. It remains to be seen if McDermott is good enough when it matters most.
  5. 68 catches 680 yards 6 TDs I did 4 catches and 40 yards a game. I also figured a TD every 3 games. Those numbers feel realistic to me.
  6. I think that’s what this stadium will be good with. I would imagine that the “demand” will be in that group.
  7. There are stats out there. The participation isn’t even in the same stratosphere as baseball. Baseball is second to only basketball in youth participation in the US (let alone around the world). There are millions and millions more people participating in baseball than lacrosse (which is still a very regional game).
  8. That’s what we are seeing PTR. That’s a HUGE reason that a remodel was never an option. You can’t take someone that sits at the 45, 15 rows up, pays $150 a ticket (or whatever it is), and “right size” the pricing. That real estate may be worth $400 - $500 a ticket with the right ammenities. You CAN start in a new building with that “option” and then let supply and demand fill them. My tickets now are roughly $250 each and I’m at the goal line (ish) in the 200’s. Imagine what they would charge me, with those same ammenities, in the above location? I am not the person to do that but there are some people that would absolutely pay more for that location. It’s a matter of marrying ammenities and location. The Bills know what they are doing. My hope is to have similar (or more) ammenities and keep my price in the neighborhood of where I’m at now. If it ends up $350 per so be it. If it ends up doubling, it’ll be annoying but I’d still be in. The Bills know the market and where they can get to. The PSL discussion will be the interesting one.
  9. But it kind of is because infinitely more people are competing in baseball than indoor lacrosse. The amount of people that you need to be “better than” to make it to that level is nowhere near what it is in the 4 majors. It’s harder to be Jeff Manto than to be Dhane Smith.
  10. Fine but no one is going to remember Rich Kilgore in the same breathe as Dominik Hasek.
  11. Congrats to the Bandits. Winning any championship is an accomplishment. With that being said, it is on par with the Bisons winning. I hope that they do. If they don’t, I’ll be okay. I do not like how their accomplishments sit equal to the Sabres in the arena. It just doesn’t feel right to me that Rich Kilgore sits alongside Dominik Hasek. I’m fine with a Bandits HOF in the concourse. They do not belong alongside the Sabres. I don’t believe (could be wrong) that Boston recognizes lacrosse players in the same manner as Bird, Russell and Orr.
  12. The local works well. It travels with me. Unlimited DVR is another plus. It’s a few dollars more than when I signed up but way cheaper than DirecTV
  13. Tom Brady dated celebrities. He played in 10 Super Bowls. Relax
  14. That’s my hope too. I’m trying to jump on whatever that presale looks like. It probably isn’t a lot but hopefully there are some.
  15. I missed it 😔
  16. Thanks!!
  17. Does anyone know when the presale / on-sale is? I had to register by 5/15, which I did, but there has been no communication as to when we can actually buy them.
  18. I worked with a lot of the Legends leadership when I was in sports (Toman, Ondrejko, Estis). They are some of smartest sports business minds in the world. As an aside, my cousin’s husband was offered the opportunity to be the point person for Legends on the Bills stadium deal. He could not commit to that and turned it down. At any rate, the Bills are working with the best of the best. Legends is in a league of their own.
  19. I have done it on the road before. Supply and demand with sports tickets has never been more prevalent than now. With the ease of StubHub and others, there is a market that determines the value of tickets. If you want to see the Bills in OP in September or October, it’ll cost you. If you wait until December, you’ll get in cheaper. Bills tickets were always so cheap compared to other teams in the league. Those days are gone.
  20. There goes that $5 a month that would have almost bought you a Starbucks.
  21. It’s a sad, sad story. They are close family friends. I’m actually heading to the funeral in about an hour. Kaiir spent the entire wake by her side yesterday. He has been a godsend to the family. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
  22. Yep, he’s a definite. That holds especially true when you stack his career next to some others that were recognized already.
  23. The inventor of the “Richter scale” used to measure WOF worthiness and earthquakes. Thought that the sarcasm came through that Jim Ritcher doesn’t belong on the WOF.
  24. That’s fair and that game wasn’t off to the best start.
  25. Bennett was a MUCH better player than a few guys from that era that made it up there. With that being said, maybe the off the field issues have prevented him from going up? There are a bunch of others that belong: Moulds, Ruben Brown, Kyle Williams for sure. You could make arguments for a lot of others. I always use the “Jim Richter scale” to determine the worthiness. He was a decent player but not WOF-worthy. This current era has more guys that will go: Allen, McDermott, Diggs, Hyde?, Poyer?, Milano?, Tre?
