  1. I’m not sure that cutting him sends much of a message. If you want to send a message, you cut Mack Hollins. He’s on the leadership council. He’s a lovable, try hard, goofball, that everyone seems to respect as a guy. Oh yeah, he doesn’t wear shoes!! If you want to send a message, you cut that scrub too and send the message to everyone that, “if your best isn’t good enough, you’ll be replaced.” Trade for Cooper and give Shavers a chance to be the big physical WR.
  2. Allen was off. It was ABSOLUTELY a function of the 🗑️ pass catchers. The All 22 will show exactly that. It was 80% the trash pass catchers and 20% Josh was off. That might be too generous to the receivers.
  3. I was sitting upstairs and you could see everything. I 100% agree with you. NOBODY was getting open. Josh was onto his 3rd or 4th read. He also got a little spooked because they were so blanketed. He pulled it down a few times. It was painful to watch.
  4. I think signing off on Diggs going and signing off on this group are different things. Clearly, the Bills couldn’t have thought that this group was good enough. They brought this upon themselves though. They were in desperate need of a number 1. Instead of going up to get someone (even Brian Thomas) they went back twice and took a project that can’t separate. They gave Curtis Samuel $8M. They play Mack Hollins 😂. Beane just missed and everyone could see it. There are solutions. The Bills can swing a deal for a WR that’s out there (Adams, Cooper, Higgins, etc). They can wait for the draft and try to land Burden or McMillan. That’ll be expensive but it’s an option. They CANNOT believe in this “everybody eats” nonsense. You win with stars. The Bills don’t have them outside of Josh. They need a guy at the top of the depth chart and these other guys become a little better by sliding into roles they are capable of. Shakir is a good slot and I still believe Kincaid is good (although he has been frustrating). They have no idea how to use Samuel and he’s been bad. Coleman should play but I don’t know if he will ever be good. He gets zero separation but has more of a chance than some of those other scrubs. The solution is to go get a guy at the top of the depth chart and then another guy in the middle of the depth chart that can replace Hollins. Whatever it costs, it costs. It’s one of the most important positions in football. You can’t put a band aid on it.
  5. We sat up top and could see everything. Josh was not good. There was NOBODY open. He was going to his 3rd and 4th read every time. He should have run more but those pass catchers were SO bad today. The tape will not be kind to that group. It was as bad as I’ve ever seen.
  6. If you don’t recognize the WR problem, I can no longer help you. Teams have extra guys to send because the WRs are trash.
  7. I’m at the airport now. Pretty sure that I spotted Amari Cooper waiting for Anchor Bar to open. He said that he was here for a physical and wants to get wings on the way out.
  8. A couple of quick thoughts: 1) I’m glad the message board this week wasn’t 1000 pages on Diggs not loving us and vice versa. This group has really become more secure since we’ve gotten good. If this would have happened in 2015, for example, there would be 100 pages of us crying about our gf leaving us. 2) Why the hell is there talk of a “Diggs revenge game?” Revenge from what? He came to a franchise that paid him a boatload of money, threw him the ball 10 times a game, and where he played the best football of his career. He asked to go and they traded him to a place that he was happy with. What is this revenge I’m missing?
  9. Montana seems beautiful
  10. I think that they believe it will look like the countless other stadium projects funded the same way…
  11. Maybe not the place for this but this seems to be where the WR discussion is: It would not fill the glaring hole at the top of the depth chart but could be a replacement for MVS.
  12. The Astros are eliminated. The Yanks are playing the Royals.
  13. I haven’t bought yet but they’re dropping a lot. The morning of it’ll be dirt cheap
  14. That’s the trip that I wanted to go on
  15. Get in about noon tomorrow. Staying at the Marriott at the Convention Center. Will be at Christian’s for the party and probably stay through the Yankee game. We booked a dinner but going to cancel that because the Yanks are on. We will be at the tailgate. Hopefully the Bills bring it this week!!
  16. I agree with @Rubes. The equivalent seats on one side of the field are clubs but not the other (as I understand it). There should be some solid options.
  17. Fun and entertaining matchup
  18. 100% agree I probably would. He’s a great player and the OC is kind of ruining him. I saw something the other day talking about the route concepts under Shane Waldron. It was about JSN and DJ Moore and how much better they were or are without him.
  19. I would trade a 1st for Wilson.
  20. Is anyone heading to the game this weekend? A few of us are going in Saturday and out Monday? What’s the deal with the Saturday Party? Christian’s again? Tailgating Sunday?
  21. This is kind of what I was saying above. The “it is now” might be coming from the fact that the league feels more open than most probably thought before the start of the year. The “dominant” teams aren’t as dominant as most thought at this point. Unfortunately, I think that this is more of who Curtis Samuel is than who the fans hoped they were getting. He’s not a technician or really a boundary receiver at all. He’s a gadget guy that is pretty explosive. At Ohio State he was a great playmaker and they used him all over. That’s what I hoped that they’d do here. To me, it feels like his touches have been SO predictable that it’s been hard for him to find space. He should be a rich man’s McKenzie or a poor man’s Deebo. He has been a little underwhelming but I still chalk most of it to their inability to get him into space.
  22. I think that the last part is key. I don’t think that he will rush to do something if he doesn’t think that they can win this year. My honest opinion, is that he didn’t believe that this was a Super Bowl roster prior to the start of the year. 4 games in and the league looks worse, at the top, than it has in a bunch of years. He may now be saying, “if things fall right, we are capable of winning it all.” If he doesn’t believe that he swings on the number 1 in the offseason whether it’s a trade, draft or FA.
  23. I’m not trying to play the, “yes they do card” but teams ABSOLUTELY throw out lowball offers all of the time. When I was working in the NBA our GM said, that the public hears of less than 5% of the offers that are made. They are constantly throwing things at the wall to see what sticks. You don’t hear about them until they become “real.” I guess where we differ, is I don’t believe that he thinks “we might be okay.” I think that he believes “we may not be able to get a deal done.”
