Ed Oliver versus Lamar in 2017 . Wow..
Kirby Jackson replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was legitimately the most dominant freshman that I’ve ever seen (keep in mind I’m too young for Herschel Walker). Adrian Peterson was up there as well but I don’t remember anyone else that I’d have there. He was in the backfield every, single play. We are starting to see his legendary quickness. If he continues to develop like this we may have a star on our hands. -
Ed Oliver versus Lamar in 2017 . Wow..
Kirby Jackson replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This was the game that I was positive I wanted Ed Oliver on my team. As a freshman I thought that he was the best that I’d ever seen (still think that). This game though was a special kind of dominant. -
Again, why? He should get paid what he deserves. We shouldn’t want guys to make less money to stay with us. You friends don’t “hope that you take less money to stay at your current job for the good of the rest of the staff.” There is no such thing as a hometown discount and I hate the thought that people even suggest it. It’s a huge pet peeve and will NEVER understand wanting guys to make less than they are worth. Let’s just pay Tre as the best CB in football. That’s what he’s becoming. That’s what he’s worth. We should be thrilled to have him.

Can we just think for 1 second about home field advantage throughout....

Predict the 4 teams in the playoff for college 2019-2020
Kirby Jackson replied to major's topic in College Football
I agree. I’m hoping that it is a “workmanlike” 38-20 type of performance. They don’t need Fields to be spectacular. He needs to be efficient and make plays with his arm on 3rd down. Dobbins needs to keep them ahead of the chains on the early downs. If UGA can keep it close we won’t see it move IMO. If LSU dominates and OSU doesn’t we may see a flip flop Sunday Morning. I’m really hoping that isn’t the case. -
Predict the 4 teams in the playoff for college 2019-2020

If any year was important to have the 1 seed it is this year. You want to avoid Clemson in a “winner take all” type of game. I’ll take my chances with OU or Utah 8 days a week. -
Predict the 4 teams in the playoff for college 2019-2020

LSU absolutely throttled them last year. I don’t know if that means anything but UGA was a pretty big favorite and got beat by 20. It’s going to be interesting. UGA is like the opposite of LSU. If they can keep this game tight they can win. They just can’t get down 2 scores. -
Why? He’s earned a huge contract. Make him the highest paid CB in football. Based on the timing, that’s what he deserves.

Who is your favorite current Buffalo Bill and why?
Kirby Jackson replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is really tough because this team is so lovable. There aren’t a lot of guys that I don’t like. I’ll go with Tre though if I have to pick. He’s fun, smart, interesting and elite. -

So sorry for your loss

He’s leading the league in TDs from the pocket!! PFF actually has him as the highest grades player IN the pocket. Don’t fall into the trap of “we need to disparage the other guy to pump our guy up.” That’s lazy analysis. https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/ravens/one-metric-rates-lamar-jackson-best-pocket-passer-nfl

I haven’t read it all but this is where I’m going to go to my “there can be multiple good QBs in a draft class argument.” Watson and Mahomes are both good. Wilson and Luck are (or were) both good. Lamar Jackson is probably the MVP of the league. Josh Allen is an ascending talent that may find himself in the Pro Bowl this year. Both teams should be very happy with the guy that they drafted.

If Chad Kelly Was Ever Going to Make It
Kirby Jackson replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly got crap for railing on Peterman but my belief was (and is) that he was taking a roster spot from a more deserving player. He’s taking a check that belongs to someone else. My thought is the same for Chad Kelly but for a different reason. He obviously has WAY more ability than Peterman but he is a WAY, WAY, WAY worse person. If any other 3rd string QB had Chad Kelly’s laundry list of offenses he’d absolutely be out of the league. If his uncle wasn’t Jim Kelly there is ZERO chance that he’s have a job. -
What % do you think we have a chance of winning?
Kirby Jackson replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went 50%. The Bills are a tough matchup for Baltimore IMO. -
Every team in the history of sports has sold playoff tickets prior to knowing what it will look like. As someone that ran a ticketing department for 6 seasons there is a lot of time required to turn it around. There is zero to be concerned about. We are talking about a month; that is nothing!! This isn’t new (at all) in any sport. We just aren’t used to it.

David Carr: Four Offenses I Don't Trust (Bills one of them)
Kirby Jackson replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whenever you read a analysis of the Bills you can tell who watches them and who doesn’t. That doesn’t even mean that “if they say good things” they watch and “if they say bad things they don’t.” An analyst could say “the Bills play a lot of close games and with their struggles in the kicking game I worry that it will cost them a playoff game.” That’s not positive analysis but I think every Bills fan in the world would “accept” that analysis. Whoever formed that opinion has been paying attention. Carr isn’t paying attention. It’s fine if someone doesn’t trust the Bills offense. His analysis though is wrong. The Bills haven’t been playing “backyard football.” If he’s referring to Allen escaping and making plays what are the Ravens doing? The Bills are intentionally moving pockets and even running QB sweeps. They are trying to expand what the defense has to account for. They have expanded their playbook over the last few weeks. -
If Chad Kelly Was Ever Going to Make It
Kirby Jackson replied to a topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Someone just needs to give Chad a chance!! Everyone makes a mistake. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/12/03/chad-kelly-is-sued-for-assault/ -
LSU is a lock win or lose. The same goes for OSU. A 1 loss Utah or Oklahoma isn’t jumping those teams with 1 loss. I think the same of Clemson. There is a BIG gap in the committee’s eye between those teams and the Big 12 Winner / Utah.

I thought that they should have at the time. With the amount of space that they have I thought it raised the floor for the DL. I wasn’t irate when they didn’t but wanted them to. As I sit here today I feel the same way. I would have preferred it but I’m not going to lose a second of sleep that they didn’t.

I like the topic but a few changes: - Saints to obnoxious - Chargers to do they have fans (they were poorly supported in SD) - Cowboys to the ridiculously obnoxious - Seahawks to good consistent fans - Panthers to do they have fans - Titans to do they have fans - Texans to do they have fans - Broncos to good consistent fans - Colts to good when they win
