Myles Garrett Still Claiming Racial Slur
Kirby Jackson replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I said at the time that claiming this was his best option. I don’t know if it happened or didn’t; I wasn’t there. However, this was CLEARLY his best avenue for sympathy and forgiveness. -
Tyrod Taylor Could Be Chargers New Starting QB
Kirby Jackson replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This shouldn’t come as a shock. Tyrod falls in that category of “placeholder” QB. He’s like Fitz in that sense. If the Chargers draft someone raw like Herbert or Love they may need someone to hold down the fort for a little while. Tyrod has a winning record in the league and won’t beat his team. He’s not going to win or lose you games. -
He’s not getting tagged

Regardless, he WILL be the highest paid CB in the league at some point. The question is when is the best time to do that? Do we take the cheaper years now and then pay the bigger salary down the road under the new CBA? Do you offer him 5 years $75-$80M with $50M guaranteed now instead? It costs you more now but saves you down the road. That’s the debate

I really don’t think it’s like that everywhere. It is too a lesser degree but not like us. We legitimately hold it against guys. Mario Williams was a dominant player for a couple of years. There are people on here that have said he is their least favorite Bills player ever. I can’t fathom that!! We’ve had so many bad players!! How can you hate a guy that was a 1st team All-Pro?!?

He’s not putting out a billion out of pocket!! He’s probably not putting out half of that. NFL teams are constantly increasing in value but the Bills get a fairly sizable jump with a new stadium. Is it crazy to think that the value of the team increases $250M with a new stadium? That’s roughly, what I expect him to come out of pocket for. If the value jumps by $250M and he is generating more revenue it makes sense for him (depending on the debt he takes on). Toronto? I know no one wants to hear that but that’s probably the most sensical answer. That’s part of the reason though that the renovation route is unlikely.

I think that you’re spot on with these thoughts. It is an inevitability at this point. It’s just a matter of what exactly it looks like. Most likely It will take on a different form and evolve. There will probably be some tailgating as we know it. Additionally there will be a lot more bars, restaurants, etc... My guess (strictly a guess) is that it will kind of work like Cleveland in that sense. They still have tailgating in the muni lot but they also have a variety of other options.

That is true but it almost became a reality until Ralph spoke up last time. There were only 2 votes against the proposal, Ralph and Mike Brown. You will almost certainly see it moving in that direction. We don’t know how extreme it will be at this point. Jones will push for one extreme. Pegula will push for the other extreme. It will end up somewhere in between.

Because they own a business!! I’ve never, in my life, seen a business owner that doesn’t care about how much money they make. I’ve never seen someone say, “I have enough money.” That’s just not the real world. He wants his asset, the Bills, to keep going up in value. He can use public funds to help make that a reality. Of course he is going to do that!!

That’s one of my thoughts. Don’t know exactly what it looks like but have a feeling he has a role in it. Oh I know, that’s why I prefaced it. It may be at the county level or whatever but there will absolutely be public funds involved. That’s just the way that is in 2020. The Bills will point to the countless other teams in broke states that already got it. The precedent is too strong for an exception.
