  1. I forgot about Hamler!! He’s in that Higgins-Pittman-Edwards group for me
  2. Nice topic and thank you for defining “drought era” because every other time we’ve tried to do this people took their own interpretation. I like Mario as an option but think that I’ll go in a different direction and say Takeo Spikes. That LB group would be, by miles, the best in the league.
  3. It feels like this controversy has opened a lot of people’s eyes. At least half of the country though sided with the guy that punched the back of a seat for hours!! That’s how “anti-seat recliner” they were. That guy was clearly being a petty jerk. There was SO much empathy though coming from the, “anti-seat recliner” crew that they found it to be less offensive than the recline! Maybe it really does come down to your appreciation of the experience though. You make an interesting point. If you like to fly and appreciate the ability to get somewhere quickly and affordably you probably have a good deal of patience with it. I already called it a “necessary evil” so it’s the opposite end of the spectrum for me. I find it miserable. I probably fly around 60 flights a year (eg: MSY-Midway, Midway to Buffalo, Buffalo to Midway, Midway to MSY counting as 4). Being in New Orleans I pretty much always have to transfer (although the New MSY is a fantastic airport). From the time I leave my house to get to the airport, wait in line, wait on security, wait to board the flight, etc...I’m just miserable. The last thing that I want is someone making it more miserable. I don’t ever view it as a good thing even when I’m heading on vacation. I just can’t wait to get off the plane (and hopefully not have to wait a ridiculous amount of time for my bags) :).
  4. To me, he’s going to be just okay. He doesn’t separate and is a good, not great athlete. One of my best friends is the President of the Clemson Alumni Chapter in New Orleans. He follows them like I do the Bills. I asked his opinion and he said “there’s no way that I’d take him in the first.” That was all the convincing that I needed. He’s been right on pretty much every Clemson player to date and even sometimes with unpopular opinions (ie he thought Hopkins would be a better pro than Sammy).
  5. Agree to disagree I guess...I’m not saying that Shenault and Higgins won’t go 4 and 5 but there is a consensus top 3 it seems. As an example Daniel Jeremiah has Jefferson and Ayiuk at 4 and 5. Word around the senior bowl is pretty much every team had a first round grade on him. I think there’s a VERY good chance that Ayiuk is the 4th receiver taken. I said that I won’t derail it though so here are my WR rankings (subject to change): - Jeudy - Ruggs - Lamb - Raegor - Ayiuk - Shenault - Justin Jefferson - Higgins - Pittman - Edwards - Van Jefferson (almost forgot him) - Gandy-Golden - Mims - Peoples-Jones
  6. I don’t mean to derail this but I’m not sure that’s the consensus top 5. The consensus top 3 seems pretty clear but there are absolutely teams that will have Reagor, Aiyuk and maybe others ahead of Shenault and Higgins.
  7. It’s a little bit of all of that honestly. The space has shrunk, the fees go up, security takes forever, etc... The whole experience of flying is pretty terrible. In general people look at it as a necessary evil. Whenever people do things to worsen that experience (ie reclining seats, not moving for families to be together, bringing extra carry ons, smelly food, farting, deplaning early, etc...) people just don’t have patience for it. “The experience already sucks for everyone, don’t be an a hole and make it worse.” That’s kind of my take on it anyways. It’s like baseball and there’s certain “unwritten rules” that just kind of keep it at “bad experience” instead of “worst experience ever.”
  8. No one likes the seat being reclined into them!! People tolerate it but no one says, “oh good, I’m glad that guy reclined into me.” If you didn’t know that people hated it you must have been shocked by this controversy.
  9. Really good point on the contract!! Diggs is such a good fit here in that he slides everyone into their natural roles. The receiver room is maybe even a strength (especially after adding a guy in the draft). How about: Diggs Brown Beasley Bryan Edwards Duke Mckenzie Roberts
  10. This is correct. The Bills had good RBs. Spiller was considered the top skill player in that draft class at the time. He was maybe a luxury for the Bills but he definitely wasn’t over drafted as a prospect. That’s about where experts thought he’d go. In fact, MANY had him off the board before the Bills picked. I have a WAY bigger issue reaching on Torell Troup than taking the luxury pick in Spiller.
  11. Tyreke Hill beat the hell out of his pregnant girlfriend and just had 105 yards in the Super Bowl. There’s a line to draw in terms of character but it’s near Tyreke Hill not Stefon Diggs. That’s why it’s a move that they have to make IMO. A number 1 receiver is their biggest need. Diggs is a number 1 NFL receiver.
  12. Someone suggested a 2nd this year with a 3rd next. I’d even use one of those 5ths or 6ths if needed to get it done. They are going to need cheap labor with their cap situation. I’d make that deal in a heartbeat and feels like they may too. I’d even do a 1st if it was needed. It will depend on who is bidding. Diggs is exactly what their team needs.
  13. Not all heroes wear capes Your car can drive 200 MPH too, it doesn’t mean you should do it
  14. JWoww is recently divorced...
  15. Milano is so ready for Karma.
  16. “He’s not a process guy” in 3.....2.....1....
  17. Levi is a decent player at great value. Hopefully he gets healthy and helps this team.
  18. And they become public enemy number 1 for saving 11 seconds. I despise that person so much!! We’ve all been sitting on this flight for _____ hours and we all want to get off of this damn plane. We get off from the 1st row to the last row; you don’t get to skip a handful of rows.
  19. So glad that you brought this topic up!! It’s something that we need to discuss. My opinion is going to be weak though. They are both a-holes. I fly a decent amount (probably a trip and a half a month) and am a regular sized man. I will NEVER recline my seat because I hate when someone does it to me. No one likes that. If everyone took the “do unto others” approach we’d never have to worry about reclined seats. Now the guy is just an a-hole. It would be one thing if he quickly bumped it pretty hard “inadvertently” sending a message. The pettiness of the constant banging shows that he needs to get a life. So to recap: seat recliner person = terrible punch seat recliner person = terrible person that tries to deplane prior to their row = worse than the other 2
  20. This makes sense. It’s a good number for him and would have been a good number for the Bills. You could have cut Kroft and signed Olsen for very little difference. Oh well, would have been nice but you can’t fault the guy for that decision.
  21. I think Clowney is the best EDGE option on the market. He’s consistently in the backfield and great against the run. He’s a guy that’s schemed for. With that being said, he’s going to be the highest paid of all of these guys. He’s looking to set the market for the position. If he doesn’t set it, he will be close. That’s why I went with the “trade for Campbell” option. He’s still a really good player and on a decent contract. He only has a year remaining but if you could add 2 years as a part of the trade you’d be in good shape. Cut Murphy, bring back Shaq and you’ve really improved the position. Maybe take a flier in the mid to late rounds on a developmental guy like you did with Johnson last year. I’m not a huge fan of the 2nd tier guys like Epenesa and Gross-Matos at this point. I don’t really love a lot of the “next guys” in FA either. I wouldn’t mind Addison. I don’t really trust Quinn or Fowler. I wouldn’t hate Dupree but who is he? The guy from last year or the guy from his first few years? Edge needs to be addressed but I’m not sure that the Bills can properly address it without paying Clowney or making a trade. I think that they are settling for a lesser player otherwise. I’d just assume Shaq and Anae (or someone like that in the 2nd) over Quinn (or someone like that).
  22. Probably would have been best to keep this quiet but I agree with the Jets. I remember watching him last year thinking he looked awful. He was in slow-motion. Maybe it was the year off but he didn’t look anything like the player that was in Pittsburgh.
  23. He took a step back last year after a big year before. I’d absolutely take him back at the right price. I’m not sure that he is a starter but he’d be a nice depth piece for sure.
