Someone argued the one day that he was good against the run. He isn’t. He’s a liability. Last year teams would just turn him to the inside and run right off of that tackle’s shoulder. That was my issue with him. He is a pretty good pash rusher. He’s bad against the run. I don’t mind the extra being spent on him (unless it is at the cost of keeping Milano).

He was asked about the play of the right side of the line and he said something to the tune of, “I thought Darryl Williams played a really good game.” They asked him then specifically on Ford then and he said, “he did some things well.” Just thought that it was notable

Good topic!! I voted Murphy and am guilty of it but he’s losing whipping boy status. Cody Ford is the other one that sticks out. This is especially true after McDermott’s comments after the game.

And he never plays so it has to be Josh. With the roster that the Bills have, Josh Allen absolutely has to run some read option to spread the field horizontally. The only other thing that does that is the McKenzie jet sweeps. He may have to play a little more for that same reason. You have to at least have the threat of getting to the edge and turning it up. FWIW, that’s why I was in favor of more of a speed back coming out than I was of Moss. It’s not a knock on Moss as a player it’s just a skill set that is different from Motor.

Yep, the hardest thing to do is make that decision the 1st time. Once you cross that hurdle though you come to accept it.

Woods is a good player but he’s always been a guy that needed other threats. He’s John Brown (although with different skills). If Sammy had his head on straight when he was here we would have been fine at that position. Sammy has the ability to control the attention and win against anybody. Woods could have done damage sooner if that happened. The guys were there to be successful.

They did such a nice job with this. Lol, eff the Big 10 but I’m happy to be back (sans Wade and Davis).

I love the read option. When you don’t have backs that can get to the edge you have to use Josh to do that. He is an elite runner. Josh’s legs make the offense so much more dynamic. He just needs to protect the football.

I tend to lean to the Yolo definition. It’s a semantics argument though. I think Joe Burrow is mobile for example. What I referred to as a “necessity” earlier is that when a play breaks down on 3rd and 7 you need to be able to get it with your feet. The statue days are dead.

This one feels a little closer to me than yesterday (although the score may be similar). I’ll say 24-20 Bills. I think Miami will correct some of their issues from yesterday. They are well-coached and feisty. They are heading in the right direction (unlike the Jets).

I’m a believer that the game has changed. QBs have to make plays with their feet. It used to be a luxury and now it is a necessity. The best players in football are mobile QBs (Mahomes, Lamar, Russell Wilson).

He certainly wasn’t awful. He looked like an MVP at many points during that game. If they clean up the execution they might be special!!

Oh, I’m guessing you are referring to me? 4 trips inside the 39 without points isn’t good. The Bills are very good. I expect to pound bad teams. That’s a b- performance and Josh is moving in the right direction. It’s a good sign though that the Bills beat teams that they are better than.

I’ll call this performance a B-. 2 fumbles and 1.5 missed FGs inside the 25 isn’t good. In general though, they were SO much better than the Jets. A solid performance but not perfect. 1 and 0
