Thumbs up to the whole Bills staff!
LabattBlue replied to Helmet_hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While the $$$ spent makes me want to believe that there will be a significant improvement in the OL play, I will reserve judgement until the season starts. -
I'm sure there will be a great demand for the strong arm cement feet tough pocket passer with the fantastic passer rating for throws over 10+ yards.
-
The real indicator is how will he do on the Krumrie wrestling test?
-
Considering Denver has a knack for making any RB on their team a 1000+ yard rusher, I'd be surprised if they give up a pick for WM.

Take a look at his track record. Calling him a headcase is a major understatement... 1. Bryant caught 40 passes for a team-leading 733 yards last season, but repeatedly ran afoul of coach Mike Nolan's strict disciplinary standards. Bryant was arrested in November after a wild escapade in his orange Lamborghini, and he later angered Nolan for being late to a team meeting. Bryant ended last season midway through a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy -- and the 49ers decided they wouldn't wait to deal with Bryant's next problem. 2. During a minicamp practice in 2004, Bryant and Cowboys coach Bill Parcells got into a heated dispute that ended with Bryant throwing his sweaty jersey at Parcells' face. 3. Bryant was kicked out of practice by security, sent to anger-management counseling and eventually traded to Cleveland, where he was dropped after conflicts with coach Romeo Crennel despite posting his first 1,000-yard season in 2005. I'll pass.

They can get involved to a certain extent(if things get a lot worse than they are now), but for a US Senator to be pleading that the Bills schedule should be arranged so that they don't have as many blackouts is a joke. If Bills fans can't sellout the stadium without the help of a favorable home schedule, than the games are not on TV. Simple as that. This is such a big deal that Schumer needs to come to the rescue? Once again, I would like to believe that there are more important issues on his plate. You quote a lot of estimates, studies and so forth regarding the Bills in Buffalo, but I'm sure there are plenty of cities(the size of Buffalo) throughout the US that are thriving without a NFL football team. Don't get me wrong, I'm a lifelong WNY'er who doesn't want to see them leave, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if they did. That being said, Ralph's posturing is getting old and I'm not sure how much of it, is a case of "the boy who cried wolf", but this is why Schumer is getting all riled up? The Bills are not moving and Schumer(like every other political hack) is just looking to get his name in the media without accomplishing much of anything.

What is Thurman Thomas doing?
LabattBlue replied to Mister Defense's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How so? -
No, I don't have any idea how much money this brings to the area...enlighten me? How much money does the county dole out to the Bills every year? Ask your breakfast buddy Reynolds these questions and then get back to me. As far as the amount of attention an NFL team brings to an area...who gives a s-h-i-t.
-
I can appreciate Shumers interest in keeping the Bills here, but considering how F***ed up New York State is, I would think there are things higher on the pecking order than this. Now wonder this state is a joke. WHEN THINGS DON'T CHANGE FOR THE BETTER, DON'T RE-ELECT POLITICIANS OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Agreed

Interesting point regarding Hargrove
LabattBlue replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. I'm not saying Hargrove cannot be a good player for the Bills, but everyone also loved Krumrie because he ran around with a lot of energy and had this great wrestling test to determine what college DT's were draft worthy. We all know how that worked out. -
The E-Mail that we don't speak of

You don't believe it, HS doesn't believe it, you don't want to mention it by name, BUT... you start another thread about it! -
To those who either know a lot about the subject or have had a Lennox furnace installed recently... My furnace blower motor is dying. I had two different contractors tell me that considering the age of the furnace(25 years or so), don't bother investing in the cost of a blower($300-400 contractor repair). My question is... I have an estimate for a Lennox G43 furnace installed for $2500. Does this sound reasonable? I'm not really interested in knowing if another type of furnace is a better deal(I like the Lennox brand name), just that I am not overpaying for the model I am looking at. Thanks!!

Corey Moore was just an example. My point is that there are many conference all americans in college who just didn't have what it took to play in the nfl.
-
...and players like former Bills draftee Corey Moore were also GREAT college football players that didn't amount to sh-- in the NFL. Since when does great in college equal NFL caliber player?
-
I've never claimed to be as smart as the coaches, it's just my opinion. To me a guy that has been around as long as he has and has no upside as a starter doesn't have a place on the team. PS Anyone(not aimed at you) who compares Wire to Tasker or Pike needs to put down the pipe. They are not even in the same league.

ESPN Sportscenter: Who will be the surprise team next year?
LabattBlue replied to ajzepp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ESPN SUCKS...Wait a minute, Jaws said what...the Bills are going all the way....ESPN ROCKS!!!! -
He was a college LB who was drafted and projected to play safety in the NFL. He was not drafted with the intent to play LB at the NFL level. He is a fringe NFL player, nothing more, nothing less. PS To those who like to proclaim that CW is a GREAT ST'er, he was not even 1st or 2nd on his own team in ST tackles.

Haven't been to a concert in many years. Spending that kind of money never knowing the quality or length of performance is enough to make me spend my entertainment dollars elsewhere. The only exception i would ever make is for Paul McCartney. I've always wanted to see him in concert. PS Billy Joel is coming to HSBC Arena in April. $85 for all seats except for the 300 level at the opposite end of the stage. Those are ONLY $50.

Why Do People Think The Patriots Will Always Fade?
LabattBlue replied to Buffalo Baumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Two words...Brady envy. -
Growing up as a kid in the late 60's, I loved going to the Aud to see Dominic Denucci & Tony "Cannonball" Parisi.
-
I realize it was different regimes. TD chose not to pick him because he is smarter than all the other GM's combined. Marv will not sign him because he is going to command HUGE $$$$.

Has anyone ever installed one of these... http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_US...573&pos=n05 I am looking at putting one in my basement. I would assume that they are safe? Thanks! PS For some reason, link won't take you directly to the product. Search for Model # is CGL200TB on homedepot site.
