  1. I would not be opposed to taking two DE's in the draft, expecially if they have very good pass rushing skills. One in the 1st or 2nd round and another on day 2.

OC also needs to be resolved next year. Teague, Preston & Fowler have caused nightmares long enough.

  2. If 8 catches for 54 yards worries you then you should be worried. Guy is on my ffl team, all he does with Cassell is catch a bunch of short passes.

    Moss should worry you

...and if all 8 catches are 3rd down passes for 1st downs is it still not a big deal?

  3. as per bills daily

Youboty Has Plantar Fasciitis: The injury news got worse for the Bills at cornerback. Ashton Youboty did not practice on Thursday after practicing on a limited basis the past two weeks. He has now been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis. This is an injury to the muscle under the sole of the foot. It's a tough injury to play with and it appears he may be out indefinitely. With Donte Whitner also out that leaves a huge hole at the slot position. That means one of the two rookies has to step up and 4th round pick Reggie Corner may get the shot over top pick Leodis McKelvin. Corner played the slot more in training camp and the OTAs than McKelvin.

Geez...It only took several weeks to figure out what his injury was. Good job by the medical staff at OBD.

  4. .....James Hardy. I thought when Buffalo drafted him he could be OUR Randy Moss. But since catching the game winning TD in Jacksonville, he's faded even though he's getting more playing time due to the achilles injury to Josh Reed. And last week, he made a lackluster effort to snag the ball in the endzone that was picked off. With New England's focus primarily on Lee Evans this Sunday, I'm looking for Hardy to finally break-out and show that he can use his height as a weapon. Final stat line:

    9 receptions, 143 yds., 2 TDs

    You forgot...

Xavier Omon 200 yards rushing and 3 TD's

    Chris Ellis 5 sacks

    Blake Costanzo 50 tackles

    McKelvin 4 interceptions(3 returned for TD's)

    etc...

  5. Anybody who is relying on the "weather" advantage in order to beat the Dolphins is looking in the wrong place for how to win the game.

Even if there is a snowstorm that day(or for that matter, any game at RWS), how much of an advantage is that for the Bills who practice in the field house when there is inclement weather. The bad weather advantage has always been a bit of a myth to me.

  6. I disagree on one point: The OL has NO talent. At least, not that I've seen so far. Can't pass block, can't run block, can't pick up blitzes. Either that or Fewell has been telling a bunch of talented athletes to just stand there and pick dingleberries out of their nether regions.

Fewell doesn't coach the OL.

  7. easy the giants built around strahan as he aged. Strahan also managed to stay in tremendous shape, and even the speed he did lose over the years. Was negated by how physicaly dominate he was at times during his career. Schobel couldn't hold strahans jock. Strahan is the closest dend to bruce-reggie, but not quite at that level. They built around him him, and prepared for his eventual retirement, with osi, tuck, kiwanuka.

So while they were adding Tuck, Osi & Kiwanuka, we added McCargo, Kyle Williams, Kelsay & Ellis. Pretty clear where the problem lies, huh?

  8. The Bills will stand pat and NEXT YEAR that pass rush will be "awesome" with Stroud next to a healthy Schobel. Kelsay with another year of experience. Denney older. McCargo trying more than 10% of the time, blah, blah, blah....

How is it that the Giants lose Strahan to retirement and Umenyiora to injury in the preseason and they are still dominate(2nd in the league in sacks)? Either our DL talent is SEVERELY overrated and/or our defensive coaches are sub-par.

  9. Unless they show the endzone replay on every run, it is difficult to see if there is a hole. Keep in mind, there isn't going to be a hole the size of the grand canyon on the majority of plays. It doesn't take much space for the good rb's in the NFL to make there way thru.

Is the lack of a running game for the last year and a half with Lynch at the helm, the fault of the OL? Lynch's fault? A little of both?

    I'd say the latter.

  10. I'm 49 now and this current 10 year stretch of mediocrity has taken its toll on me. I still attend a couple of home games and 1 road game every year, but I don't find myself agonizing over defeats like I used to.

I taped the game as I had somewhere to be yesterday and after someone told me the score, I didn't bother watching 1 second of it when I got home.

I still cling to the hope that either the Bills or Sabres will a championship in my lifetime(preferably while I can still enjoy it :wallbash: )

  11. If the Bills are going to win this week, they need to find a way to get to Matt Cassell. If we get to him, don't turn the ball over, and RUN THE FOOTBALL...we will win. New England has struggled against the run this year and they have BenJarvis Green as their starting back...(WHO?) Theme for the week....BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ

New England is 15th in the NFL in rushing defense at 105 yards per game. That is closer to best(yardage wise) than it is to worst and certainly not what I would call struggling. Note...They gave up 47 yards on 21 carries last night.

  12. Peters...3 more years and looking for a raise

Dockery...5 more years as one of the highest(and overpaid) guards in the league

Fowler...Makes me wish for Teague and Preston isn't any better

    Butler...just signed to a 4 or 5 year extension

    Walker...3 more years

Not exactly what I would call spending your money wisely!

I can't believe what I am seeing out there, but I am pretty sure the run blocking is worse than last year.
