I can see Ralphie using this as an excuse not to spend a lot of money in free agency. The sooner he sells the team the better. Believe me, they will find a buyer committed to keeping the team in Buffalo.

I am not so sure why so many people(led by the WGR schmucks) are upset about the games being blacked out. This is not a new policy, has happened many times before, and in games that actually were important(Houston v. Bills greatest comeback game). The fact that games are being blacked out in ANOTHER season that will fall short of the playoffs should not surprise or upset anyone.
You want to see it, buy a ticket. If not, go Christmas shopping.

WR(career as Bills only) - Reed, Moulds, Chandler, Butler & Dubenion(I've only seen highlights of him).

Antoine Winfield deserves some consideration. He was a solid CB both in terms of playing the run and the pass and started for 5 years beginning as a rookie.
PS I still would have kept Winfield over Clements!

millbank...you are right about moving on, but we'll agree to disagree about the "good and fine people on both sides" part.
The problem here is that a few people who still want to ballwash DB, get their panties in a wad if anything negative is posted about him. I'm moving on!

I think the Sabres need a power play specialist to help them. I know the scores bundles of goals at even strength but for the play off run I hope they acquire a person who specializes on the power play. Every little bit helps at that time of year.
So I'd throw this question out. Would you be willing to mortgage some of the future for a better chance at cup this year?

It's the economy, stupid.
I'd like to think it was the product, but it's worse than that.
Interest rates are high, so are gas bills. People aren't buying cars or building houses. The economy is in the toilet, and we'll need some luck to avoid a recession during the first or second quarter of 2007. It's the holiday season, and people are using what little money they have for other things.
WNY is a poor region. When the economy goes south, it puts a disproportionate strain on WNY. Not to mention that you Buffalonians, my parents included, are paying oodles of tax dollars to fund the pensions of legions of retired bureaucrats. Y'all are bearing this burden yourselves, because the business and young people have all left.
It is ALL about the product on the field? If it was the economy, would the Sabres have sold out their entire season two months into the season?

It's actually a merit system. Each of our esteemed members, from legends like Rico and LabattBlue to newcomers like azjepp, have earned that white stripe that runs down their back and out over their tails.
In all fairness to those above-mentioned who have worked so hard to achieve where they are today in the Dead Horse Beating hierarchy, it's been detemined that any multiple choice question should be limited to no more than 3 total options. That way we stand some chance of their quizes being turned in by the end of the same day.
