1. - JP has played better than I expected. Hopefully he will continue to progress throughout the season and the QB position will not have to be addressed(AGAIN) in the off-season.

    - Shelton SUCKS! Bring back Joe Burns, bring back Earthquake Enyart, bring back Ricard. Just make Shelton GO AWAY!

-WM has had some VERY good moments running the ball. Pass blocking still leaves a lot to be desired, but that block he layed on that DL today was AWESOME!

-I thought we signed Triplett in the off-season? Did he change his mind and decide to stay in INDY?

-Schobel continues to be a mystery to me. He continues his pattern of being a dominant force against some doormat of an OT and then proceeds to disappear for a few games.

-Evans has been every bit as good as advertised. Parrish, Price & Reed have been very solid.

-The TE's continue to be average at best. Everett has shown nothing and Royal wants the number of the truck that ran over him today. Can we bring back Euhus or Reimersma back for another chance?

-Surprisingly, Whitner and Simpson have not been picked on more. If they can continue to progress, we can forget about having to address the starting safety positions for many years to come.

-For a low round draft choice, Ellison has stepped in as a rookie and done a helluva job filling in for Spikes. Crowell has also been solid.

-Clements is good, but not great. He was picked on several times in the first half and Brad Johnson did not seem to be shying away from his side at all. He is a very good corner, but not worth 7 million a year. Find a 2nd tier CB to replace him next year(3 mil or so per year) or draft a CB in one of the first two rounds of the draft. You can never have enough good DB's.

    - A 2-2 start has to be pleasing for Jauron and Co. After 5 years of GW & MM, it is so nice not to hear about bullhorns, alarm clocks, trick plays, media battles, etc...

    GO BILLS!!!

  2. He's been in the league for 3 years now, but let's not rush him too quickly? We finally have a QB who can run(when needed) and instead some say "let's not give him too much at once". Instead stay in the pocket no matter what and get your brains beat in.

Sounds like a confidence builder to me. :D

  3. Either have I.  And IMHO, if you're going to compare stadiums, don't forget to compare ticket prices.  We get what we pay for.

Since traveling to games is a big chunk of my annual budget, I'd rather have some peeling paint than the $75 for nose bleeds.

The new stadium down here in Cowboys country will be awesome.  The cheapest seat in the stadium will cost around $90 each and $35-$50 for parking.  Sure glad the Cowboys are playing at the Ralph next year.

35-50 for parking? WOW! Price gouging at its best!

  4. Exactly.  If there was ever a fix in on an NFL game, it was last night.  On the third play of the game Vick fumbles the ball without it being touched, no one blocks the Saints UP THE MIDDLE on the punt, Crumpler has to try to drop a wide open touchdown, two very questionable non-calls on PI in the second half.  :D

    787084

...and none of these things has happened before?? Players fumbling without being touched, dropped passes and questionable calls happen every week. For those into conspiracy theories...the fix is in. How it looks to me...sh-- happens.

  5. Before the game...

Idiot on Abbott heading towards the intersection at Southwestern. He is in the left turn lane, but wants to go straight. One sheriff has him stopped in the middle of the intersection and when a 2nd sheriff walks up to the car, the guy pulls around the 1st sheriff and takes off(as the 2nd sheriff is beating his car with his billy club <_< ). Guy doesn't get another 100 feet before he is stopped by another sheriff. Six sheriffs then proceed to drag the dumb SOB out of his car, pound him headfirst into the pavement, cuff him and drag him away. His face was a bloody mess from the blacktop sandwich he received.

All the dumbass had to do was make the left(or pay closer attention to the sheriffs) and that would have been the end of it.

  6. When's the last time that the "playmaker" has pulled in a huge INT?

How about when's the last time he stuck his nose in on a running play?

    Thought so.

    Playmaker my ass.

NC will be gone next year and the Bills will be drafting ANOTHER CB in the 1st round in 2007. Antoine Winfield is the better all around CB(I'm still bitter pissed that they let him get away) and if I could trade the two right now, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

  7. At least get one hand on the blitzing Safety....he's not that big that McGahee should be afraid of hitting him.

McGahee is good running back.....but now I know why Mularkey pulled him on 3rd downs.

One missed block is the difference in the game.

I was thinking the same thing this morning. YES he had a 150 yards rushing, but this is the second game in a row where WM looked like he should not be in the backfield blocking on pass plays.

Am I glad MM is gone?...ABSOLUTELY! Was he onto something when he was not playing WM on 3rd downs...LOOKS THAT WAY!

  8. the arms of the NFL have a very long reach...

zoom in really close and you can see the yellow dashed lines around the sideline on the old bright green turf...

but you are correct, when i searched for the ralph last year, you could see things in color and zoom in very close to the old helmet at the 50.  I distinctly remember this because i searched for the ralph and the hsbc before i even searched for my house.  Someone should look up other stadiums to see if this is the same phenominon.  I nominate ieatcrayonz to look up the RCA dome, and everyone else to look up the other 30 stadiums.

  9. Presumeably because I am biased, but to me, the defensive back instigated  contact rather than Reed, although I am sure Reed would have eventually. So why

wasn't defensive interference called rather than offensive.

    779948

A DB can make contact with an offensive player within 5 yards of the LoS. That would be my guess as to why there would be no defensive pass interference.

  10. Yes - one big ST play in 4 years - get his bust ready for Canton.

Even a crappy player makes a play once every four years.  Before all the hysterical Wire ST-ace stuff starts again - please note that on the NFL.com play-by-play for the first two games this season Wire is not listed as making a single ST tackle.

One play does not suddenly make him a great player.

Stick to your guns. I'm right there with you!

  11. I have assessed the following:

-at the 3:32 mark of the 3rd quarter, I noticed that Angelo Crowell was scratching his leg.....as a result of this I have come to the following conclusion(s):

--he has a serious injury that he is hiding

--there may have been a mosquito that got beneath his leggings (possible west nile virus????)

--he was giving signals to his fellow linebackers on a play

--this was a signal to one of his friends from college

    --any thoughts????

    778481

Which way were his hips pointing?

Was he standing upright or was he bent at the waist?

Were his feet pointing in or out?

    :doh::lol:
