  1. Prepare to be shocked.

Holcomb's play in preseason pretty much demonstrated that, regardless of experience, there's no more 'upside' to him coming off the bench than Nall.

BTW, in 2003 Nall did start all 10 games in NFL Europe and led the league in TD passing and efficiency.  In the 5 games played in 2004 for Green Bay, he was 23/33 (69.7%) with 4 TDs, no INTs, 9.52 yards per attempt, 139.4 rating.

JMHO, but Nall seems like the ideal backup - hopefully we find out tonite so we can cut KH , or - better yet - try to work out a trade for a late round pick.  Then we can go sign a young 'project' with some potential future upside to 'hold the clipboard'.

(Of course, if Nall looks like total 'crap' tonite, I take all of this back! :D )

You mean you don't want that veteran experience(in this case defined as able to throw passes to the LoS but not beyond) off the bench.

Hopefully Nall has shown the coaches enough to be the #2 and bring in a rookie to be #3 or on the PS. Trade Holcomb for whatever you can get. If not, send him packing.

  2. By the way, how many Bills do you think actually own homes in WNY?

I'm not sure and I don't really care. If you want to use this as a barometer for much a much a player loves playing for the Bills, go right ahead. I'll choose to file it in the useless information drawer of my filing cabinet.

  3. To those of you who keep on insisting that Willis is "counting the days" until he can leave the Bills, Willis bought a house in Orchard Park during the off season.

...and this means what? He is comiitted to playing in Buffalo his entire career? The friggin' guy has to live somewhere other than a cardboard box.

  4. Your rant actually answers your question.  Basic human nature is to either seek pleasure or avoid pain.  The stimulus of hearing or reading something that agrees with your position hits those pleasure centers in your brain.  The converse is that an opposing view is "painful".  Pointing out others' failings is also pleasureable.  Folks here are simply lashing out against those that bring them some pain and that lashing feels good (as you said).

And yes, it feels great to write this.  :D

I feel like I am in a psychologists office and should be writing you a check for a $250 for an impromptu 5 minute visit. Thanks Doc!

  5. Disclaimer: This is not a Jauron bash!

I noticed the 1st preseason game @ Carolina that it was quite warm and I didn't pay much attention to the fact that Jauron was wearing a turtle neck and long sleeves! Carolina in August is humid as I lived there for 3 years!

It wasn't until I watched the Browns game, when Tasker said in the open, that it was a hot and humid evening in Buffalo and Jaron was wearing a turtle neck and long sleeves again!

Again...just making conversation, found it very strange!

I also found this funny as I was watching the first couple of preseason games. If he has the turtleneck and jacket on in the summer, I can't wait to see his December fashion statement. :D

  6. It seems like every 3rd thread recently is crying about some member of the sports media(TV, radio, internet & newspaper). Granted I've made posts in the past about WGR and king of all ballwashers Theismann, but this is out of control...

It is a constant stream of ESPN sucks, Peter King blows, Tasker can't get player names correct, Felser is senile, Sullivan is a jerkoff, Larry from larryknowsfootball.com doesn't know sh-- about the Bills, etc... Either have SDS setup a separate forum for this whining or give it a rest.

...and yes I fell better now! :)

  7. I still think Watson could have helped the Bills IF he had come-in at the beginning of the off-season, got into shape and learned the playbook with everyone else.

...and I still think if he is a dumba$$ that he can't stay in shape on his own during the off-season, I don't want him on the Bills.
