  1. Is it just me? WTF? "In time for the Bass Pro."

    :lol::lol:

What the heck are people going to buy at Bass Pro when making the World Jr. event?

Why doesn't the region just have church bake sale.

Sorry, for being being so cynical.

The point is to have some significant development completed in the next two years whether it be Bass Pro/entertainment/retail/lodging and all the other things the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. keep "talking" about.

That being said, the new "master plan" was promised in August, then September. Haven't heard a word about it since then.

    No accountability=no results.

  2. Whitner, Hardy, Royal practicing

By Chris Brown - Posted November 14th, 2008

Donte Whitner is practicing for a third straight day. It does appear as though they’re still keeping Whitner out of any unnecessary contact this week to give the shoulder as much time to heal as possible. However, there was one instance during walk through where he lifted the arm of his separated shoulder completely straight up over his head. We’ll get an update from coach Jauron after practice.

James Hardy practiced for a second straight day which is a good sign and Robert Royal was back practicing Friday after missing Thursday’s practice with an ankle injury.

The only non-participants were Josh Reed, who worked on the side with trainers and Aaron Schobel.

Where is the part showing that "Man you can tell Reed wants to play"? <_<:w00t:

  3. I had just heard Larry Quinn in the last couple of weeks stating that he hoped Bass Pro could be open by Dec 2010 when the World Jr. Hockey Championships come to town. Instead, we can't even get a contract signed to knock down the building that is standing in the way of Bass Pro, let alone get something built in a timely manner. WTF!

  4. Lets be realistic, Jauron is here for a while. What is the likelyhood that Guy or Modrak or Perry Fewell are let go at the end of the season?

I'm not sure if Modrak is involved with pro personnel evaluation in even the smallest way, but Guy should definitely be shown the curb and if he is running his FA recommendations by Modrak, then they both should go.

    Posey

    Triplett

    Fowler

    Teague

    Dockery

    Royal

    Price(the 2nd time around)

    Darwin Walker(trade fiasco)

    etc...

    Quote from 1/2008 espn.com article...

Director of college scouting Tom Modrak and director of pro scouting John Guy both were elevated by owner Ralph Wilson to vice president in their respective departments. Wilson called Guy and Modrak "very deserving" of the promotions.

    What a joke!

  5. No, I don't see anyone rushing out to sign him. But can we really do any worse than we are now? Give him or Simeon Rice a shot, worst case scenario, we still don't get pressure, but the Bills would've shown the fans they tried to fix it. Oh, and by the way, the Jets just signed Ty Law (another wash up...or is he?). You know, the same Jets who picked off Trent twice two weeks ago and allowed only three points to the Rams last week. Its called being aggressive. Its called improving and adding DEPTH. Its called trying to make yourselves better even at 6-3. Its also called making a CONSCIOUS effort to end the New England dominance. I know their our division rivals, but good for the Jets. At least someone is trying to improve themselves in the division.

Rice is 34 and has been inured and/or out of the NFL since mid-way through the 2006 season. It's great to throw names out there, but at least give it some thought first. As far as KGB goes, if his knees are shot, the Bills medical staff can't wave their magic wands and make them better.

Don't you think the word spreads quickly throughout the NFL when certain players have hit the wall?

  6. Dont just tell me who sucks tell me who you think is going to come in a play better. The FO went after gonzo and it didnt work who else on our roster would be a better option? Our former 7th round pick? Maybe our 4th rounder with 3 catches in his career? neither one has proved much in either blocking or recieving

Exactly how much of an impact has Royal had in the running game? They have one of the worst rushing attacks in the NFL! As far as receiving goes, Schouman and/or Fine in the little they have shown are Royal's equal at the very minimum. It is time for Royal to join the FA bust list under the direction of the GREAT John Guy...

  7. With the 3 year contract in hand, Jauron is here to stay this year and next at the very minimum, and next year would have to be a disaster(6-10 or worse) for RW to fire him.

Bringing up Bill Cowher's name as a potential candidate to replace Jauron is riciulous. Anyone who has followed Bills football for as little as 10 minutes would know that Ralph will never pay the big bucks for a HC. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN...NEVER!

The only "big name" who ever came to Buffalo was Chuck Knox and he had nowhere near the resume that Cowher has. The one great coach he had in the 60's he couldn't get along with(Saban) and eventually got rid of him. The rest of the HC's RW has hired were bargain basement...

    Collier

    Johnson

    Ringo

    Stephenson

    Bullough

Levy(he was a CFL has-been when hired by the Bills)

    Williams

    Mularkey

    Jauron

Cowher as HC of the Bills...:w00t: :w00t:

  8. ...or make a move soon to pick up a defensive end, they can forget it.

What kind of a move do you suggest since the trade deadline has come and gone? KGB? Have you noticed any of the 31 teams in the NFL rushing to sign him? In terms of finding a way to get to the QB with blitzes, Fewell has shown nothing in terms of resolving the lack of a pass rush.

What you see is what you get in terms of the pass rush.

  9. Expect Lynch to play 8-10 seasons. He'll have two-four 1,000 yard seasons. The rest he'll have between 600-999 yards. Expect him to finish somewhere between 7,500-10,000 yards. Really good running back, but he won't be great.

Very lofty expectations. Only 43 RB's in NFL history have hit the 7500 yard mark and I haven't seen anything close to enough from Lynch to believe that he can achieve that total.
