  1. Bills had a hard time selling out game didnt they? Talk about passion, I think alot of it is lost in Buffalo supporting the Bills.

It's all about the product on the field. When the team(the Bills) has sucked for the last 6 or 7 years, what do you expect. In the case of the Colts, they had just beat the Bills to remain undefeated and they left the dome acting like they just had a death in the family.

Just calling it like I see it.

  2. I was at the Bills game in Indy this past year and that place was a morgue. Walking out after the game, you would have thought the Colts lost the game. I saw several crowd shots yesterday that reminded me of the same thing.

I like Peyton Manning, but I have a hard time cheering for a team with fans that don't seem to have a lot of passion when it comes to their team. Sort of like the Hurricanes winning the Stanley Cup last year.:pirate:

  3. ...Carey played a Boston cab driver in the 1970 Jack Lemmon comedy "The Out of Towners." He also appeared in scores of commercials, and took pride in being a supporting player and a character actor.

Damn. Out of Towners(the original) is one of my favorite movies and I don't remember him in it. There was the cabbie who couldn't make change for the fare, but I don't remember that being Carey. Damn, it sucks getting old and not being able to remember things!

  4. It was a terrible match but it was interesting that he fought DiBiase.

Years later when Hogan was popular, DiBiase came back into the WWF as the million dollar man and bribed people to gain advantages. He really threw a lot of money around. I remember this as being around 86 or 87. The match you linked was from 79. Do you know what DiBiase did between then to get so rich? My guess would be the stock market but I have not read anything about it.

    :D :D :wallbash:

  5. Where have we heard this before?

Tomlin had an excellent interview with the Steelers and, like Cowher in 1992, is an on-the-rise candidate despite being only 34 and having minimal experience as an NFL coordinator. Tomlin took over the Vikings' defense this season.

He must have went to the Gregg Williams school of interviewing. :D :D

  6. I only caught the stuff that happened near the end. The 16 year old kid who thought it'd be a good idea to juggle while he "sang" (or whatever the hell that was) was the highlight for me. He absolutely could not have sucked any more. And then he comes out of the room swearing at everyone and crying.

The best was when his mom tried to console him:

"Honey, it's OK, you're only 16 years old..."

"I know, but I wanted to start out famous! WAAAAAAH!"

I can't believe no one ever mentioned to this kid that 16 year olds with greasy hair and acne don't "start out" famous. Oh, and also this particular kid will never be famous unless he becomes a serial killer. He sucks.

I thought the same thing. You had to know your singing sucked if you brought your juggling gear with you. ;)

The psycho(near the end of the show) proclaiming that she had a degree in music and 10 years of training was also great comic relief. Not to be out done, the woman singing the cowardly lion song from the wizard of oz was a thing of beauty.

The visuals of the judges(specifically Randy & Simon) are priceless.:wub:

  7. Hey...the moms say he isn't there. If that's true that would qualify as a lowlife in my book. I'm not saying single parents or even those who father kids out of wedlock are by definition lowlifes. I admit I'm old fashioned. My basic assumption is if you father a kid you gotta play a role in raising it. Others are free to disagree. Maybe WM spends every waking moment with these three kids. If so, he's certainly not a lowlife. Average running back, but not a lowlife.

You're preaching to the choir. I was just pointing out that it was 3 kids fathered over a VERY BRIEF period of 3 months not a 3 year period like the previous poster had indicated.

  8. 3 kids and 3 moms in less than 3 years is bad. The term "low-life," however, is harsh and loaded. It seems to me that the sports writers at the Buffalo News drew straws and Sullivan lost. As a result, it was on him to highlight every negative aspect of Willis' brief tenure in Buffalo, without giving him the benefit of the doubt on any issue.

That would be 3 kids born during a 4 month period(not 3 years) to 3 different moms.

  9. the knob bobbing that the patriots are receiving from a lot of posters here is sickening.

!@#$ the PATS, bunch fo whining cheating candy asses.

Your're right. Instead of disussing the merits of the teams that are ACTUALLY IN THE PLAYOFFS, let's stick our heads in the sand and write how the Pats suck, they get all the calls, they are lucky, blah, blah, blah.

God forbid we have some football discussions without "Brady envy" coming into play.

    <_< <_<

  10. I would not call this version of the Pats a great team. And if you don't think they are at all lucky or get the benefit of the doubt on almost all calls, you're kidding yourself. Just telling it like it is.

Did you see the two San Diego catch & fumbles that were ruled incomplete passes. Yeah, you're right, NE gets all the calls.
