  1. first off, schobel is not resposible for the run on most plays,

    I'm not going to proclaim that I have access to the Bills playbook or I know what the coaches are telling the players to do, but if what you say is true, than I guess I shouldn't be pissed at AS, and redirect my anger at the defensive coaches instead. I really don't care what scheme they play, but when a RB can run through gaping holes where a DE or other player should be, something is F***ed up and adjustments need to be made. A team that runs the ball as poorly as Houston does, should not be able to pile up the yardage they did yesterday.

  2. They are doing what they're told to do, which is get upfield and not allow the QB time to throw the ball deep.  As Jaworksi says, points come from the passing game and the Bills are selling out at the line and playing deep in the secondary to avoid getting beaten over the top.....for points.

    The problem is a lack of talent at DT means this team is going to get blown up in the run game.  Hell, we should be thankful that Gary Kubiak had Carr throw that ball on 3rd and 2 at the end of the game.  That was a gift from the football gods.  Last week, in a simialar situation the Colts ran the ball for a huge gain and put the game away.  Three weeks ago, the Packers chucked the game away at the goal line when they could have just waltzed it in.  At some point, even the bad teams are going to catch on and run the ball when it matters, and then we're going to need a playmaking DT to make this defense work.

    They are being told to go upfield(and very wide!!) with no regard for playing the run? I can't believe the coaches are that dumb, but after the last 5 years, anything is possible.

  3. I'm not real happy with our DE play. Too many upfield speed rushes which leave a huge gap between guard and tackle. This has been consistently exploited by opposing teams this season. These guys need to learn a move besides running 10 yards into the backfield and hoping the QB is there.

    Amen!!

  4. I would love to see the Bills coaching staff open the play book up just a little more for JP today vs Houston. How about some fades to the corner of the endzone or something. Take some shots to the endzone. Let's see what this kid is really made of. It's really hard to tell with the conservative play calling that goes on week to week. Kicking field goals is not the answer for us every week. If JP is not capable of doing it then why waste time on him.  :lol:

    Will it happen today?  :lol:

    How about some rollouts or designed running plays(QB draws or bootlegs). You finally get rid of the lead foot statue and replace him with a guy who has mobility and you choose to completely ignore this. Jauron, Fairchild, Shoenert, etc...Way to stick your "vanilla offense" heads in the sand.

    PS I don't want to hear about how he needs to be a pocket passer first. bull sh--! :o

  5. You idiots who think Nall will be any better than Losman must've been dropped a couple times on your heads when you were kids.  Either that, or you need to lay off the crack.

    Seriously, if he can't even beat Holcomb for the #2, he can't be that good.  And I'd be willing to listen to the coaches than any armchair GM on this board any day.

    Ah....nothing like a "coaches know more than you do" post. Thanks for stating this Captain Obvious. :P

    Note to Scott....shut the board down right now because the coaches know more than everyone here combined. :w00t::P

  6. What Kelsay did was truly one of the stupidest things I have seen in professional football. He should have been benched for the rest of the game and maybe even one game afterwards.

    His high motor would not slow down, therefore he slammed into Brady like a car with an accelerator that is stuck.

  7. RUMOR: Bledsoe empties locker...

    (I got this from the other Cowboys message board site. Don't kill the messenger....)

    I was just told that Boston Sports Radio station WEEI 850am claims that Bledsoe's locker is empty.

    Not sure how much truth there is to that, but I figured I would post it.

    =========================================

    I heard he went to toss all his dallas gear away and stumbled and threw it in the wrong garbage can.

    =========================================

    I heard he TRIED to throw it in a garbage can but accidentally fell in himself and got stuck head first.

    In such a wild night nobody noticed and a janitor emptied the bag in the dumpster.

    =========================================

    I wonder how many times he patted his stuff before he threw it in the bag, or did he simply pat it 8 times then fell down.

    =========================================

    How did Drew's hands get so black?!

    From tackling cornerback's.

    Critics of DB who were tagged "Dead Horse Beaters" are now being recognized for their great insights! 0:)

    DB needs to go to Montana with a lifetime supply of Pabst Blue Ribbon and never be heard from again! :w00t::lol:

  8. We should cut him right now just to make some of the people on this board happy. :lol:

    He is the best player on offense, but you go ahead and keep on trashing him.

    [As Marv used to say, if you start listening to the fans, you will end up sitting next to them in the stands]

    814490[/snapback]

    Just repeating what Thurman stated(and adding my opinion). I guess a soon to be HoF'er doesn't know what he is talking about? :doh:

    PS The best player on this offense is Lee Evans.

  9. On WGR this morning, Thurman was on talking about the game. He said, early in the game WM was running around left end and had a chance to put a lick on a Pats DB and set the tone for the game, but instead chose to run out of bounds. He is a 230 lb RB going up against a 190 lb. DB. Go figure?? :doh:

    I know I am going to upset the WM lovers, but this guy does not have breakaway speed and has no elusiveness. When was the last time he made someone miss? He is a straight ahead runner with some power. There is nothing there to indicate the Bills should attempt to re-sign him because he will be difficult to replace. He is on pace for 1200+ yards, 2-3 TD's and an average under 4 ypc. Whoop-de-friggin-do!

    One more year and move on.

  10. I think we are all missing the point here..... HE IS OUR BEST PASS RUSHER!!!!  Why the !@#$ is he in coverage on 3rd and long... that is just stupidity on the coaching ... Brady was probably laughing as soon as he seen that!!!  We are begininning to become a embarassing team to watch...as a fan I was yesterday....

    :P  :blink:  :blink:

    I thought this zone blitz crap stopped when Gray was gone. I guess I was wrong. :lol:
