  1. What do the Bills have if EJ becomes a "poor man's" Cam Newton?
  2. I guess only time will tell, but wouldn't you rather have one football man, reporting to another football man? Please, someone explain to me how the new coach reporting to Pegula who has ZERO NFL experience is a better idea than reporting to the GM?
  3. Interesting, but a lot of what is reported across many of the teams is very gray area. If Whaley controls roster and personnel decisions, what else was Marrone responsible for that would made more sense having him report to Brandon instead of Whaley. Like I stated earlier, you are begging for a relationship problem between the coach and GM in a reporting structure like this, and low and behold, that is exactly what happened between Whaley and Marrone(even though the details of the problems between the two have not been reported). Sorry, I just don't get it.
  4. Please site some examples. Also, I wanted to know if you thought it was a good idea?
  5. ...and how did that end up(coach/gm relationship)? You really don't think the coach reporting to the owner is a good idea, do you?
  6. The whole point is the chain of command. Coach reports to the GM. GM reports to the team president or owner. Nowhere did I imply that the GM should not keep the owner informed. If the coach ends up reporting to the owner, it will be a BIG mess in no time at all. If I was Whaley, and this is what ends up happening, I'd be on the lookout for new opportunities.
  7. Seriously? The coach and GM should be working hand in hand to build a winner. What happens the first time the coach goes running to the owner because he doesn't like the players the GM is bringing in? Ticking time bomb. Screwed up chain of command is a disaster waiting to happen if this is true. ...and for what teams does the GM report to the coach, unless the coach also holds the title of something above the GM?
  8. This is really screwed up if true.
  9. Now that I can understand screwing up...at least for the non-Buffalonians.
  10. Not Pugala Not Pagula Pegula In fact, it's simple for message boards. Dumb it down to... Pegs
  11. I am sure when it gets down to the finalist(s), that the candidate(s) meet with the Pegula's, but I wonder for the initial round, who other than Whaley is at the table? Director of pro personnel? Director of college scouting? Assistant GM(do we have one)? Please tell me that PT Barnum Brandon is not involved.
  12. Did you look at the stats? Gostkowski and Vinatieri were better in terms of FG%, and Suisham was about on par with Carpenter. In fact, Vinatieri only missed one kick all year and I believe it was in the last game. That being said, Carpenter has been a great signing. Just a case where the competition is slightly better in 2014.
  13. ...open mind or you mean bury my head in the sand?
  14. So we should forget about his his performance during first two seasons as a Bill?
  15. As someone posted a short while ago, I'd LMAO if he ended up with no NFL HC gig in 2015.
  16. Just because Pegula isn't a polished public speaker doesn't mean he isn't a savvy owner. Don't mistake one for the other.
  17. So the "Factory of Sadness" and the Bills were fighting over Marrone a couple years ago. That says it all for these two franchises who have stumbled so badly for so many years.
  18. Isn't the incentive, the chance to go to a different team of his choosing and a larger contract?
  19. Understood, but he wasn't fired. HE QUIT! What "many wanted" is irrelevant.
  20. I have no problem with the opt out clause. It is the paying next seasons salary that is mind boggling.
  21. Has it been confirmed that Marrone gets paid for next season...even though HE CHOSE to leave via an opt-out clause? Who the hell negotiated that contract?
  22. Can't wait to hear from Spags if the Jets hire Marrone. LOL
  23. I take it now that his shield has bolted, his days as a Bill are numbered considering the offensive performance the last two years? Agree?
  24. The offense and it's approach to getting Sammy the ball is so f***ed up, it is hard for the blame not to be shared by all parties involved. Watkins, his injuries, Manuel/Orton, bad OL pass blocking, OC & playbook, playcalling to Sammy or lack thereof, & the HC Marrone. Regardless, they are looking like fools for giving up what they did to get Watkins, and then have him be outperformed by Beckham, Benjamin, Evans, and to some extent, even Landry and Matthews could be argued.
