Even if you think it's a good idea to trade everything for our #1 guy, it is not going to work if our #1 guy is off the board by the time we can get to him. Cleveland is almost certainly going to pick #1 and they will take a QB. The frontrunner on everyone's board now most likely is Josh Rosen from UCLA... It is almost impossible to envision a trade scenario where we could get him.

This is a really good point. It is always extremely important to take a given model out for an extensive test ride before purchase. We are talking about an important investment and it might even be the only purchase of this type made in your lifetime. Important to get it right. Remember the fundamentals: practicality combined with day-to-day livability, but combined with that ability to give you a thrill when you are really in the mood to drop the hammer and go for it. And it's important to have it designed the right way. You want an impressive bow, curvy lines, and a nice tight stern. Generally speaking, the faster the model, the better.

Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi thread
Fadingpain replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Almost everyone always says ESB is the best. That used to be one of my favorites but I really think Rogue One stands on its own as hand's down the best of the lot. Like it was actually a good movie. These Star Wars movies are NOT good films, if you get right down to it. Which is funny, b/c I'm a huge fan and they must be the most successful movie franchise in history. And they seem to enjoy universal appeal all over the planet. But be honest, they really aren't very good films. "Rebel scum." LOL -

Fergy! Please remember that boat safety is very important. Be sure to shop for a model that has a proper guard rail at the bow. Something like this is ideal.

Lived in Metro DC for 12 years. This sort of thing makes me thankful to no longer be there. Humans scare the **** out of me.

City you've never lived in, but felt at home there

Definitely. Chicago is what Buffalo would be if it was a huge city. Very familiar vibe in that town to Buffalo. -
Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi thread

I have read on other forums that those who saw it already thought it was really disappointing and possibly the worst of all them to date! I will still go see it anyway. -
Sadly, we get outclassed by the Dolphins!

Don't think we will roll in that manner, but I DO think we will see a different Dolphins team than on Monday. The weather is going to freak them out. -
Biggest game of the year this coming Sunday!

Actually, none was the biggest. They are all precisely equal in importance/value. -
Shady McCoy: If You Ball You get the Call

He is definitely Barry Sanders-esque, though not as good as the original. -

Fadingpain replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't think we are "outclassed". Not sure we have regressed this season either. More likely is that the crazy turnover differential we enjoyed for the first chapter of the season went away. We probably have something like 2 wins more than we should have, but for that great turnover ratio. -

Osweiler! Head movement to look off the safety! Quarterbacking Tyrod can only dream of! -
We can all ramble on about stadium talk forever. The only immediately obvious thing, at least to me, is that it MUST be built in downtown Buffalo. The current location out in OP is total BS. If they aren't going to fix that mistake and put it downtown, don't bother building one.

Talking Proud versus the Shout song
Fadingpain replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for posting this! I remember this from when it was current, but I haven't seen/heard it in a while. Funny that a "revival" was being pushed way back in 1980. If you think that stuff is crappy (it is) you should watch Sabres games. This "goal song" we play after every goal makes me want to gag. Likewise! Funny we have 3 Bills fans here in the same thread who are all familiar with The Warriors and love that scene in particular. "Warr---i------ors. Come out to pllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaaaaaaaaaaay----------------aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay." LOL! -
The “Billsiest” way for the season to end
Fadingpain replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I enjoyed the original post with the 4 steps, but it left out step 5. 5) Two Bills Drive crashes in the aftermath of the loss, as hundreds of posters all start "I'm done with this team" threads simultaneously. -
The “Billsiest” way for the season to end
Fadingpain replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It goes like this: Going into final game of season in Miami, everything plays out so if we win that game we are in the playoffs. In the week leading up to the game, Cutler injures himself in practice and it is announced Matt Moore will start the game. The most hardened and pessimistic Bills fans cave in and realize it is all finally going to come together for us. The game starts; we can't stop the run, and Moore plays much better than expected. Tyrod has an average game; does some good things, some bad things. We are losing by 2 points in 4th quarter with 4 seconds left on the clock. It all comes down to a Hauschka FG attempt from 42 yards. We all think "He's got this no problem!" The ball is snapped; the hold is botched. In a moment of panic, Hauschka picks up the ball and starts running. He sees a Bill going downfield in the open for a pass. Hauschka throws the ball, it is a completion, and the Bills player runs into end zone for a TD. The clock has expired. Bills fans celebrate as the curse is over and we are in the playoffs. At that moment a late flag is thrown. We have an illegal receiver downfield; it is a penalty, the TD is negated, and there is no time remaining on the clock. Game can end with an offensive penalty and the game is over. We lose by 2 points. -
Holy cow. That guy selling playoff tickets isn't the only one! Check this out! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_wagN3udYjYc/RpqxQxiD3pI/AAAAAAAAACE/ub8CB9fq30A/s320/lord.jpg

Anyone else notice that DUNKIRK DON has deleted all of his posts? He made a comment indicating he would be deleting them as he is not welcome here. I just went back in the thread to find some of his earlier comments; they are all gone.

Can you explain what Cousin's personal ties to WNY are, according to the OP? I can't make out what the OP is saying; his writing would be unacceptable in a 3rd grade classroom.

DUNKIRK DON: You have now ignored the following discrepancy in your postings TWO TIMES. Please respond. I posted: "Cousins' wife is named Julie Hampton and she is from Atlanta, Georgia."
